Student Cafe

Stamford American International School is very proud to be in partnership with the Emmanuel Stroobant Group for the food services at the school. Chef Emmanuel Stroobant is a prominent chef in Singapore. He has established multiple premium restaurants and even stars in his own television show on the Asian Food Channel. Chef Stroobant strongly believes in ensuring that healthy eating is not put on the back burner and that students are served healthy, fresh and nutritious foods. Chef Stroobant believes that a good diet can help improve concentration and energy levels and in turn, increase a student’s learning potential. “Our role is to nip unhealthy eating in the bud by educating students. We want to help students make better food choices and also boost their mental performance and concentration in the classroom,” says Chef Stroobant. “We are here to dispel the myth that healthy food does not taste good!”

Cashless Payment System Stamford has an easy-to-use, cashless payment system designed for student snack and lunch service. Parents log-on to their family account on the cafeteria website and place weekly or monthly orders for their children. Depending on grade level, students either wear a waterproof wristband or carry an ID card which is linked to this family account. During lunch and snack time, students with preordered lunch “tap” their wristband or card to collect their meal. The payment system links to student photos so that students with food allergies or other dietary restrictions can be easily identified

and the correct order can be confirmed. The cashless system eliminates the need for students to bring money to school and all payment can be securely processed online. Parents also have the option of topping up the account while on campus using special payment kiosks. Parents additionally receive their own ID cards for topping up the family account and for purchasing items from the parent café.

Parent Café Stamford is proud to have a vibrant parent community that is actively involved in contributing to making Stamford a warm, welcoming and diverse learning community. Parents are often on campus to drop-off and pick-up their children, to volunteer in class, to participate in PTA activities or to attend parent meetings. Café Stamford was designed specifically for our parent community to have a place to meet, socialize and relax on campus. Café Stamford is run by Chef Emmanuel Stroobant and offers freshly made snacks, drinks and meals for parents to enjoy. The menu shares the same focus as the Student Café on using freshly sourced ingredients so parents can feel good about the quality of the food.
