Th e m ain obj ective was to p rosecu te t he r e f uge e s b y cu l tivating vineyards. Th e sp ecificity of th e p l ot, ho w e ve r , st e ms f rom th e existence of p reserved bu il ding s on th e Kamb a e st at e , w hich were reu sed as p u bl ic facil ities in th e new r e f uge e t o w n. I t was decided, th erefore, to keep th e monu m ents i nt e gr at e d i nt o t h e wh ol e city by ch ang ing u se and bu ying , a kinder gar t e n - a f o r e i g n l ang u ag e l earning center and a h osp ital u nit. In thi s w ay t he c i t y is focu sed on th e p reserved and th e vineyards wh i le at t he same t ime fu l l y h armonizing with th e rest of th e u rban f ab r i c . Th e bench encl oses a tree and it is insp ired by th e l ong h istory of medieval ’s time h ou ses, wh il e it is carved with th e symbol s th at p eop l e from th is era u sed to draw on th eir wal l s.
