Crochet Yeah! Look Book

t e h c Cro Yeah! A collection of six simple, colourful crochet accessories by Joanne Scrace and Kat Goldin of The Crochet Project in association with Coop Knits.

We were at Yarndale 2015 when we were first shown the stunning Socks Yeah! yarn range and were blown away by the beautiful colour palette and the gorgeous heathered effect on a soft, smooth, yarn with such gorgeous sheen. It is very much the type of yarn we both enjoy using in designs. So when Rachel asked if we would like to design some patterns with it, there was only the briefest of glimpses between us before answering “Yeah!” We are both huge fans of Rachel’s personal style and her beautifully written patterns (we share a love of relaxing with a bit of non-work sock knitting and Rachel’s patterns are our go-to) and we know that Rachel is just learning to crochet. So we wanted to create a collection of patterns that Rachel would love to make and wear – see it as a pattern based fangirl love letter to Rachel if you will! But for you, dear reader, it means a collection of supremely wearable and easy to make crochet accessories with lots of colour work touches and great attention to detail. And all with that recognisable The Crochet Project style. Whether you are new to crochet and looking for easy, well explained patterns or an experienced crocheter looking for stylish, fun to make, wearable patterns this is the book for you! Love

Bromsgrove Hat

Bromsgrove Hat By Joanne Scrace

This slouchy bobble hat will disguise even the very worst hair day. With a folded brim for great fit and comfort and interesting texture and colour play it’s fun to make and great to wear. It’s a chance to have a really good play with colour. We chose a neutral shade to be closest to the face to make it more wearable.

Evesham Socks

Evesham Socks By Joanne Scrace

These pretty socks are much easier to make than they look. Comfortable and eye catching, these cuff down socks are worked with an afterthought heel which is ideal for beginner sock makers.

Malvern Cowl

Malvern Cowl By Joanne Scrace

Warm and squishy with stripes, perfectly interrupted with a little spike stitch pattern. This is the perfect accessory to throw on and feel just a little cosier and a little more put together all at the same time. Play with colour for bolder looks. The cowl is worked in the round in a continuous spiral, (so ends do not need dealing with - they hide inside) and then seamed shut at the end. Not a pattern for those who need an early night as it has a real “just one more stripe” addictive quality to it.
