There are countless ways of treating fish skins to transfrom them to leather. With the right treatment, the leather will look good for longer and be better able to withstand the elements.

Before tanning, the fish skin has to be cleaned. The inside of the skin must be carefully scraped clean with a knife and the scales on the outside have to be removed. As soon as the fish skin is clean, the tanning process can begin.
