About Me
Hello! My name is Katherine Morris. I was raised in Birmingham Alabama with the greatest family anyone could ask for. I will complete my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Auburn University this August and I am eager to apply my acquired skills while gaining hands-on experience. Meeting new people, experiencing new places, drinking 5 cups of coffee a day, and deepening the relationships that I already have sums me up in a nut shell. Throughout my college experience, I have had incredible opportunities to further my appreciation of design, broaden my perspective of the world, and deepen my relationships. This curriculum has taught me to persevere even when the hours are long and the projects are complex, to motivate others in my group to stay positive, and to manage my time wisely. I am passionate about design, but I am also passionate about photograhy and relationships. I believe that we have the ability to affirm someone in who they are by using our talents to the best of our ability while staying true to yourself. I love that design, photography, and deepening relationships allow me to do exactly this.

Hospitality Arlo Hudson Yards Welcome to the Hudson Yards Arlo Hotel. The desire for this space is to invite professionals and travel junkies to explore a new side of New York. Located in the new Hudson Yards project, this hotel will be a haven for all. Come hang out with the locals of New York City in the lobby, outdoor terrace, or fine dining restaurant! This is the place where even locals will be drawn to with its renown customer service and beverages and its promise of a good time. Arlo On Tap
This Bodega functions as a coffee pastry& display shop by day and a coffee and cocktail bar by late afternoon into the late evening.
Enclosed Beds Something you will notice in most of the rooms are the canopy beds. These canopy beds are meant to compliment the canopy that is located in the lobby seating while also creating an enclosed and more intimate resting space. On each canopy bed there will be room for storage and an outlet for the guests to charge what they need to without having to climb over the side tables to find one. Besides everyone seems to sleep with their devices nowadays anyway.

Airbnb Queenstown New Zealand
When walking into the AIRBNB office in Queenstown, New Zealand, you are drawn into a space that encourages Energy and inspires Spontaneity. From the time you enter, to the moment you leave, easy way-finding and signage are incorporated into the space to make employees and visitors feel a sense of belonging in the space. The concept of this design deliberately aligns with the company's mission: to create a world where you can belong anywhere. With inspiration drawn from both, the vibrancy of New Zealand, and global experiences, the lively color scheme is balanced with a use of natural materials and bio-philia. Given that the location is deemed as "the Adventure capital of the world," the space will be designed to bring in Natural light and the breathtaking views through the use of large windows, a dramatic skylight, and a rooftop.

Lake Martin, AL Sellers Lake House
Auburn Interior Design Students are designing the interior spaces of a lake house for Greg Sellers, owner of Auburn Reprographics, on Lake Martin. Already in set plans but not yet under construction, the house will be built as a two-story home located on the north side of the lake. The design students were not given any type of monetary restrictions or a budget, but will design and suggest the purchase of product with the efficiency of cost in mind. A conceptual plan will be presented to Greg and a team of jurors by each set of teams in between the 4th and 6th of December. A further deadline will be set once the team with the best implementation of Greg's vision is selected.
