Who we are.

We are a 501(c)3. The mission of the Batavia Parks Foundation is to improve and enhance recreational spaces while sparking intergenerational initiatives essential to building a strong community.

What we do.

We fund raise! As a 501(c)3, donations are tax-deductible and essential to fund projects aligned with our mission.

We invest!

Over $500,000 in community projects funded since 2005.

We volunteer!

We have three annual clean-up days and have spent over 500 hours building projects in our community. In Spring, please refer to our website for a list of events.

Funded Projects

Space Net

The Batavia Parks Foundation funded the return of the Engstrom Family Park Space Net enjoyed by thousands of kids.

Batavia Riverwalk & Peg Bond Center

The Batavia Riverwalk and Peg Bond Performing Arts Pavilion were planned and funded by the Batavia Parks Foundation and constructed primarily by volunteers.

Disc Golf

The Foundation funded equipment for the Disc Golf Course at West Main Community Park.

Batavia Riverwalk Boardwalk Project

Volunteers completed the Batavia Riverwalk Boardwalk Project in 2014 with $150,000 from the Batavia Parks Foundation.

Bulldogs Unleashed

The return of the successful, fun-filled public art event, Bulldogs Unleashed in 2018 raised $22,962 for each of the three founding organizations including the Batavia Parks Foundation, Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence and the Batavia Library Foundation.

Engstrom Park Ballfield

In 2019, the Foundation funded the application of a new highquality ballfield lime material that will allow wet condition playtime.

As an active supporter of initiatives that better the Batavia community in accordance with their mission statement, the Batavia Parks Foundation recently contributed $7,500 to enable the Park District to provide financial assistance to families requiring Park District programs. Encore Batavia, a partner of the Batavia Parks Foundation, with a vision of “empowering an Intergenerational Batavia, has created a website for Batavians of all ages interested in volunteer opportunities to learn about nonprofits serving Batavia.
