Golf Leagues 2-Person Wednesday Evening League The Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center’s 9 hole league will play on Wednesdays with tee times between 4:05 p.m. and 4:55 p.m. • League is open to any 2-person team. (CDGA Handicaps used or created for league) • 2-person teams competing in a modified match play format. (Weekly stroke play - Net scores) • 8 points weekly, 2 for each individual match & 4 for a team match. • Pick your own partner for entire year. (No substitutes required) • Season ending prizes for top 2 teams in first & second half of season. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS: ­­

Note: Application for resident fees will not be accepted without proof of residency. All season passes except for corporate pass types are non-transferable and subject to regulations of the Deerfield Park District. This privilege may be revoked without refund for violation of rules & regulations. Applications with false information will be cause for revocation of privilege without any refund. Limited tickets are sold to players under the agreement that they are good only during the golf season for which they were purchased. Limited tickets are not transferable and must be used by the purchaser only.

Waiver and Release of All Claims: Please read this section carefully and be aware that in signing up and participating in the above activity, you will be expressly assuming the risk and legal liability, and waiving and releasing all claims for injuries, damages or loss which you or your minor child/ward might sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities associated with this program. I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to participants in this activity, and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any and all injuries, damage or loss, regardless of severity, that my minor child/ward or I may sustain as a result of said participation. I further agree to waive and relinquish all claims I or my minor child/ward may have (or may accrue to me or my minor child/ward) as a result of participating and arising out of, connected to, or in any way associated with this activity. Permanent Weekend Tee Time and Weekday Day-Time League No Show Policy: If a weekend permanent starting time player or weekday daytime league player fails to cancel their individual tee time before 24 hours prior to scheduled play and does not play, they will be charged a “No Show Fee” equal to the current Resident 18 or 9 Hole Greens Fee that would apply to their tee time. The following exceptions to the “No Show Fee” will apply: when weather conditions warrant “Cart Paths Only;” when there has been a frost or lightning delay in the morning; when there has been 3/10 of an inch of precipitation over night as measured at the club on the morning of play; special circumstances such as Medical Emergencies, Auto Accidents, etc will be at the discretion of the club manager. Weekend Permanent Tee Times

During the regular golf season, there are times available each Saturday and Sunday for permanent tee time groups starting at 5:51 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Regularly scheduled Permanent Starting Times begin on April 8 and end September 24. Permanent tee time applications are being accepted at the Deerfield Golf Club pro shop and they can be emailed to jason@dfpd.org.

2017 WEEKEND PERMANENT TEE-TIME RULES Effective for Saturday and Sunday permanent tee-time groups starting from 5:51 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Permanent Groups Pace of Play Requirements: Our weekend Permanent Pace of Play program is rigidly enforced for everyone’s benefit and enjoyment. Players teeing off prior to 7:09 a.m. must complete their rounds in 3 hours, 59 minutes or less. Groups teeing off before 8:48 a.m. have 4 hours and 14 minutes to complete 18 holes. All Groups will periodically be placed “on the clock.” If any group fails to comply with the above noted time requirements they will be given a “1st Pace Strike.” The week following a groups “2nd Pace Strike” the entire group will be informed of a Penalty that will result in a (1) time movement to behind the final Permanent Tee-Time group of their Saturday or Sunday play day. Each Additional “Pace Strike” will result in a 2 week Penalty movement behind the final group. Tee Time Cancellation Policy: Please keep in mind that the use of substitute players is encouraged.

Rennovation Is Complete

If unable to play, individuals and /or groups are required to cancel their tee times by the close of business two days prior to their Saturday or Sunday Tee-time. (Saturday times need to cancel by Pro Shop close on Thursday and Sunday times by close of business on Friday) There is no penalty for cancellations. If a player or group fails to cancel their individual tee time by the above noted timelines and does not play they will be considered a “No Show” and will be notified via mail and email. Any player that has a 3rd “No Show” will incur a charge for a “No Show Fee” equal to the current resident $51 – 18 Hole Green fee. A valid credit card number must be submitted for each member of a Permanent Tee-time group. Any “No Show Fee” will be automatically charged to the individual’s credit card on file for each violation following the 2nd “No Show.” All “No Show Fees” are considered a cash sale. Exceptions to the “No Show Penalty / Fee” are as follows: • When weather conditions warrant “Cart Path Only.” • When there has been a frost or lightning delay in the morning. • When there has been 3/10 of an inch precipitation overnight measured at the club in the morning • Special (emergencies, auto accident, etc.) at the discretion of the Golf Operations Manager

Deerfield Family Golf Rules: Tee up within two club lengths of the family golf marker. It is ok to: give yourself a better lie by rolling the ball around a little or even using a tee every time; only count the swings when you make contact with the ball; to move your ball away from trees, rocks and fences; play a scramble with your group; skip a hole and take a break; bring your family to the course, whether they are 4 or 90. This program is an adult and child combination class consisting of 3 one hour sessions offered on weekends so parents can participate. Start Smart Golf teaches parents how to teach and kids the basics using fun, and developmentally appropriate equipment that can be used almost anywhere. Deerfield Warrior Junior Travel Golf Team If one of your juniors goals is to possibly play golf at the high school level, our Deerfield Warrior Junior Golf Travel Team is for you. This is a great way for Junior Golfers to prepare for competition at the Junior High and High School levels. Teams meet twice a week for practice and play a Monday tournament round each week. During the spring and fall, tournament rounds are moved to Saturday or Sunday. Players on our Warriors Junior Golf Team are encouraged to practice and play as often as time allows, for that to happen a yearly golf pass is essential (not required) and is recommended. Our travel team juniors will play competitive events at Deerfield Golf Club and other North Shore golf courses as part of the North Shore Junior Golf Tour. Team members receive practice balls at all sessions, instruction by the PGA of America professional staff at Deerfield.

Once a TrackMan Combine session is completed, the results are uploaded to MyTrackMan.com where it can be reviewed at any later point in time. 1. Women’s Golf School

These clinics, led by our LPGA and PGA of America Golf Professionals, will concentrate on golf as a whole with lessons geared especially for women. The clinics are open to any interested women and are held on Tuesdays following our ladies leagues to allow for easy participation in leagues and instruction. All clinics start at 1 p.m.

Taught by LPGA Teaching Professional Trena McDaniel, learn the skills and knowledge to Break 100, 90 or 80. Each student is mentored one-on-one with computerized video technology. You will receive unlimited access to your videos, which allow you to review instruction and drills long after you leave the school. Each day student will learn full swing, short game and putting skills and will spend time on the actual golf course working on shot making skills to lower your scores as well as practice techniques for lasting improvement.
