Snow fell overnight in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham city centre and parts of the Black Country, Tamworth and Cannock Chase areas. The Arctic blast which brought Tuesday morning's sub-zero conditions will be back during the night with plunging temperatures and possibly more snow showers for parts of the region during the early hours. It will be another cold start on Wednesday feeling bitter in the bone-chilling north winds with daytime highs of 3C-4C below normal for the time of year.
