History I

n 1848, the land had been purchased by Philip James Jones. Philip’s great grandson (the current Grandpa Jones), Philip Hubbell

Jones Jr, promoted cutting-your-own christmas trees. Grandpa Jones’ son, Terry Hubbell Jones began our strawberry and blueberry fields. Terry and his wife, Jean, purchased more land which has become out pumpkin patch. In 2009, Jean also opened the Harvest Kitchen Philip Jamison Jones started the Jones Winery and Gwyn Jones who graduated college with a degree in graphic design create the farm’s logos and packaging. amie Jones, a sixth generation farmer of Jones Family Farm established the vineyard in 1999. Jamie’s hands

on care and management of the vineyard has produced exceptional quality wines. In addition to the grape wines, He has created distinctive fruit wines from the acres of blueberries and strawberries and Connecticut’s own apples and pears. In 2008, Jamie welcomed a well know winemaker, Larry McCulloch who brings 25 years of experience to the winery.
