Local skaters, scooters, BMX riders and rollerbladers can rejoice with the refurbishment of the Albany Skate Park now on the horizon with works set to commence in January 2024.

By mid-2024 the old skate park at Albany Creek’s Old Northern Road will be demolished and re-built with new designs that have been created with input from the community under Moreton Bay Council’s Skate Park Renewal Program. Not only will the Albany Creek Skate Park receive a new look, but the Morayfield Skate Park will also have a face lift with works commencing in October. Construction in Sheep Station Creek Park, Morayfield is due to start in October.

Congratulations to Ascot Arana Hockey players Kara Bradley, Georgia Harris, Lara Pyle and Demi Walker who recently won the Gold Medal at the U18 Australian Hockey Championships in Hobart.
