Latest Heartening Scoop from Local Netball Club

Dakota, an 11-year-old Indigenous girl, was new to Raiders Netball Club this season—all thanks to her wonderful classroom teacher Mrs Fiona Davies at Newmarket State School. With Dakota’s father being in no position to pay or take her to and from training, Fiona voluntarily decided to pay for her registration feeds, netball shoes, and a netball out of her own pocket. Raiders also offered to provide Dakota with a uniform so she could kickstart her netball journey. However, not only does Fiona bring Dakota and her father to training each week, but she also takes the younger sibling Xavier to his Valley’s Rugby League Stafford trainings with help from his classroom teacher Anne. Fiona and Annie have been teaching the two kids for over 6 years, and recognised sporting abilities that could not go to waste. Dakota was very obviously interested in netball, and Xavier with football. With Fiona being a single parent herself, she understood the difficulty of providing the financial and organisational commitment for your kids to engage in extracurricular activities. Therefore, she took it upon herself to go the length and get these kids into sport. As well, Fiona and Anne understand that playing club sport as an adolescent is almost crucial. They get to exercise, learn new skills, make new friends, become good sportsmen, work as a team, rise to challenges, and not ‘drop the bundle’ if they don’t at first succeed. These sort of skills, the women agree, is the sort that you can implement for the rest of your life. Also, for Xavier and Dakota, they were able to find positive Indigenous role models in their clubs for them to look up to and emulate. Both children are reportedly loving their involvement in club

Dakota had a chance to meet one of her idols, Jemma Mi Mi a Suncorp Super Netball First Nations player for the Firebirds sport and can’t wait for their respective seasons to start! As Fiona explained, ‘Anne and I are doing what a lot of teachers do every day – provide extra support to their students above and beyond what it considered part of their job. We all do this because we care about our students – not just in the classroom but outside of it as well.’ On behalf of the community as a whole, we’d like to thank Fiona and Anne for their kind acts, and Raiders for giving Dakota a heart-warming welcome into their club. They are truly living up to the Aussie golden rule of giving everyone a ‘Fair Go’.

PREHEAT oven to 160°C. HEAT oil in a large saucepan and cook onion until softened, about 5 minutes, then add garlic and all other vegetables. Cook for a few minutes stirring constantly. ADD tomato paste, canned tomatoes, vegetable stock, wine and herbs. BRING to the boil and simmer for about 30 minutes. Do not reduce the sauce too much as any excess will be absorbed in the pasta/lasagne sheets. HEAT milk and nutmeg in saucepan, add cornflour and stir until it thickens. LAYER the tomato sauce, a lasagne sheet and white sauce in the baking dish. Repeat with two more layer. SPRINKLE with cheese and bake for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Hiring Platform Is Here To Help

A Peer to Peer, everyday equipment rentals program, AirShare makes on-demand hiring easy.

The application connects two users through an online platform, allowing for one user to make profit and the other to find convenience. Sort of like AirTasker or AirBnB. This brilliantly crazy idea came to life in December 2021, when Jayden Moore—AirShare’s inventor—had his 33” Mud Tyres stolen from Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera after freshly moving north from Melbourne. As all Jayden’s tools were still in transit to Brisbane, he had no tools and no way of fixing the state of his car. Eventually, he found someone who was kind enough to lend him tools. In Jayden’s words, ‘It was right then and there as I ran around the base, dazed, confused, frustrated, and dehydrated, that I thought to myself how good on-demand hire would be.’ After that mildly traumatic incident, Jayden set about researching and looking for anything that came close to his idea. While there were plenty of niche on-demands—such as AirBnB, Dress for Hire’s, book swaps—nothing encompassed all the needs of an everyday Aussie. It was at this point that Jayden opened up a Word doc and formulated a platform of his own. He tells us, ‘I then called up a friend of mine still living in Melbourne, Tameeka Norah, I asked her what she thought of this new idea I had "That's brilliant!". I called my brother Mark: "You're an idiot, but great idea!" He said! I messaged a friend Tim Gurney, who is now an investor in the company, and asked what he thought. We ran through some ideas together and started asking more and more people. I would walk through Bunnings Warehouse and strike up a conversation with a random person as they decided if they want to purchase that $200 ladder. "Excuse me,” I would say. “If there was a way you could hire that ladder for $30/day, would you prefer to do that rather than purchase it?". "Absolutely!" They would reply.’ Jayden therefore continued to scribble down any idea he had, and eventually registered AirShare Hire Pty Ltd on the 3rd of March 2022. He gained several early-stage investors and began developing the website due for launch in late July. Jayden explains, ‘I know firsthand how tough it can be living paycheck to paycheck and as the founder of AirShare, I wanted to help the community to make a side hustle out of items you already own, whilst at the same time catering for any travellers, DIYers, and Hobbyists in the community to ‘try before you buy’.’ Happy customer, Kevin Ashurst from Warner reviewed: ‘I was in need of an engine crane and stand but didn't want to purchase it, for it to only be used once and sit around. I then heard about AirShare and was stoked that soon I’ll be able to hire these for times I need it!’ Alana Evans from McDowall has also expressed that she loves the idea of AirShare because ‘It’s so conveniently easy to make money on some of my items, I really won’t have to do anything!’ As a community orientated company, AirShare loves to do special giveaways and prizes for the community, but also fun days which could include Hire tool workshop days, Hire inflatable activities and teach DIY lessons with specialised tools that can be hired through AirShare. You can connect with AirShare through via their website www. AirShareHire.com.au Page 6 - July 2022, The Everton Echo

Support the Chaplains!

Chaplain Gill Johnson provides spiritual support to Carinity aged care residents such as Noel Conwell.

Each year, chaplains from Gaythorne-based notfor-profit Carinity support hundreds of people in hospitals, schools, aged care communities and prisons across Queensland.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Carinity chaplains have played a vital role in supporting aged care residents, their families and staff. When aged care residents seek guidance or simply wish to have a chat with a trusted friend, they can call upon experienced chaplains such as Gill Johnson. ‘Our residents have complex needs: physical, psychological, social, and spiritual. I listen to residents give voice to things that are on their minds,’ Gill says. ‘My role is to listen to their life stories, acknowledge frustrations and fears, share in their joys, and help them to find hope and explore their spirituality.’ Sonia Davies is the chaplain at Carinity Education Southside, a special assistance school in Brisbane for young women who have faced barriers to education. ‘Support is a huge part of my role. Seemingly insignificant interactions can have a profound impact, some deeply significant to our students and some we will never know,’ Sonia says. Students such as Georgia are benefitting from Chaplain Sonia offering holistic support to the young women. ‘Sonia is there for me. I can talk to her and feel comfortable. She helps me a lot with my mental health and my friendships,’ Georgia says. Carinity chaplains also provide support to hospital patients experiencing feelings of helplessness, while the demand for spiritual guidance in prisons increased once visits resumed following the height of the pandemic. Volunteer prison chaplains from Carinity’s Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy service, such as Myra, help prisoners begin their journey of transformation. ‘People in prison know we really care ... and they know that they can trust us. They say our smiles light up, as they say, the ‘dark place’,’ Myra says. Your support of the 2022 Chaplains Appeal will enable Carinity to place more dedicated and passionate chaplains in schools, aged care communities, hospitals, and correctional centres across Queensland. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Donate online at carinity.org.au/donations or phone 3550 3737.

A Tidal Wave of Love and Hope for Local High School

The long standing relationship between Brisbane Bunya Lions Club and Mitchelton State High School means students in need are supported to participate in learning and cocurricular activities that, without such help, could not.

A $2,000 boost to the Mitchelton State High School Chaplaincy funds, along with a swag of food supplies for the school pantry and donated by the club recently, was gratefully received by Chaplain Larissa Fudge who said the funds will cause a ripple effect. ‘What may seem like a drop in the ocean, can become a tidal wave of love, hope and empowerment as it picks up momentum…but it starts with a single drop!’ she said. ‘I wish to extend a warm and heartfelt thanks to all of the Bunya Lions Club members whose tireless efforts to fundraise and let you all know the difference you all make in our community.’ Further, Ms Fudge shared that the funding would be allocated to support students in need across a variety of programs and circumstances. ‘The Mitchie High family truly appreciate your efforts and value each and every one of you!’ said Chaplain Fudge. Outgoing President Ms Kay Liddle said it was a privilege to support the students as they are our future leaders and changemakers, and added that every student deserves equal access to resources so they can be successful at school, and in life.

We Are All Winners

An update from the Newmarket Bocce Club by Mario De Marco, Secretary

The national Bocce titles were held in Morwell, Victoria between the 8th and 14th June 2022.

Unfortunately Newmarket Bocce club was not represented at the National titles this year, but I understand that the event was great success. We will be there next year. Bocce Australia celebrated 50 years of Bocce in Australia; in fact it’s now 53 years, as it could not be celebrated earlier due to COVID restrictions. Congratulations, what a fantastic milestone! The elite bocce players of the second half of the century were honoured in a special presentation. There were in fact Queenslanders in that list, one of which was Barbara Jones from Redlands Bocce club. Redlands Bocce and Bundaberg Bocce clubs were represented at this year’s Nationals. Just have a look at the below results - they did a terrific job! Queensland took out the men’s and women’s single Australian championship. Well done. Enzo Tomasi, our single men’s champion who also won best and fairest and the women’s champion team was Redlands and Vic Metro in a tie. WOW congratulations! Remember, in Bocce there are no losers. We are all winners.

Exercise Support For Cancer Treatment

Everton Park is part of a national network of locations where Cancer Care Activate is being run, a rehabilitation program designed for people who have experienced a decline in functioning and quality of life as a result of cancer treatment.

North West Private Hospital allied health manager Graeme Walker said since the program launched locally around a year ago. It has welcomed patients from within the hospital, other hospitals, and directly from the community. ‘It’s such a great evidence-based program and I’ve seen patients benefit from it,’ said Mr Walker. ‘While years ago, the thinking may have been to rest during treatment, there’s a strong body of evidence showing the benefits of appropriate exercise during cancer treatment.’ Australia’s leading cancer organisations have called for exercise to be prescribed to all cancer patients as part of routine cancer care. As outlined on the Cancer Council website, research shows exercise can help cancer patients tolerate aggressive treatments, minimise the physical declines caused by cancer, counteract cancer-related fatigue, relieve mental distress and improve quality of life.(1) Mr Walker says the Cancer Care Activate program combines education, exercise and support in a small group setting, twice a week for six weeks – delivered by a team including rehabilitation physicians, physio and occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, dietitians and psychologists. The program supports patients to improve quality of life, with a focus on functional and psychological wellbeing. They can start the ACTIVATE program at any stage of the cancer pathway – before, during or after cancer treatment. Exercises are tailored to each individual’s activity level and education topics range from activity pacing and nutrition to stress management and healthy sleep patterns. North West Private Hospital offers a range of day patient rehabilitation programs, available to eligible privately insured, self funded and veteran patients. Speak with your treating specialist or GP about the program and a referral – and learn more at northwestprivatehospital. com.au under our services > rehabilitation > day programs. Fighting Back

Disability discrimination - how do you know when it happens to you and what can you do about it?

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) says discrimination happens when a person, or group of people, is treated less favourably than others because of their background or personal characteristics. It can include everything from refusing a patron entry to a café because they have a guide dog or reducing an employee’s hours because they suddenly find themselves living with disability, to difficulties facing access to buildings or facilities. A person unable to participate in everyday activities, or who avoids situations, may be at higher risk of adverse outcomes, including social isolation, unemployment and poor health. What are the sources of discrimination? The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 covers people who have temporary and permanent disabilities; physical, intellectual, sensory, neurological, learning and psychosocial disabilities; diseases or illnesses; physical disfigurement; medical conditions; and work-related injuries. It even extends to disabilities that people have had in the past and potential future disabilities, as well as disabilities that people are assumed to have. What’s being done to address the problem? In 2019, the Disability Royal Commission (DRC) was established in response to community concern about widespread reports of violence against, and the neglect, abuse and exploitation of, people with disability. Its interim report found people with disability routinely experience being called ‘inferior’, ‘a burden’, or ‘a menace’.

What to do if you feel you have been discriminated against: Write things down when they happen or as soon as you can afterwards. Record times, dates, names and what people said or did. This can be used to support your complaint. Try to stay calm. Being treated unfairly can be upsetting but try not to talk to anyone involved when you are angry or distressed. Ask for help. Confronting someone about a discrimination problem is hard to do on your own. It might be easier if you have a friend, relative or support person there with you. Keep a copy of any letters or emails you send or receive and don’t discard any other relevant paperwork. Community legal centres are non-government communitybased organisations that can provide free legal advice about discrimination. There are time limits that apply to starting legal action. If you want to try non-legal options but you’re getting close to the deadline, you can start legal action and then ask for it to be put on hold while you keep trying the non-legal options. FLU

The current winters’ cold spell is a timely reminder that the threat of a flu epidemic may be close at hand. On average, flu kills over 3000 Aussies each year and those have occurred during largely warmer winters. Having just experienced a Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in a World Health Organisation estimated 15 million deaths worldwide and nearly 9000 in Australia, we are now wary of any virus that can spread rapidly with devastating results. Since Australia’s first recorded epidemic in 1834, we have had a further four, in 1890, 1957, 1968 and the swine flu pandemic in 2009.The term `influenza` has an interesting derivation. In 15th century Italy, the infection was thought to have been `influenced` by the stars, hence the term. The 1918 Spanish flu sometimes known as The Great Influenza Pandemic was by far the most devastating flu epidemic ever. With an estimated 50 million deaths worldwide resulting from the disease, it easily supplanted the 18 million deaths that resulted from the 1914-18 World War. The 14th century Black Death Bubonic Plague still holds the record for the most deaths counted. The Spanish flu epidemic spread so quickly that the world was both alarmed and confused. The New York Times announced that the origins of the disease was a result of a poor vegetable diet, largely of turnips, in war ravaged Europe. The prestigious London Times erroneously reported that chemists in England were running out of two supposed cures for the illness, cinnamon and quinine. It was estimated that 20% of the world’s population had been infected by this `mysterious illness`. It was only in 1933 that scientists were able to accurately identify the illness as influenza.

What’s Going On At Toobul?

Brisbane City Council recently held initial discussions with Mirvac about the future plans Toombul Shopping Centre, now that a decision has been made to demolish the existing structure. The local community has raised concerns about the future of the site and have been seeking information. An announcement pertaining to the centre’s future was published on the local Councillor’s Facebook page, Adam Allan from the Northgate Ward, see below. ‘The site is zoned Major Centre zoning under the Brisbane City Plan 2014.’ ‘This type of zoning provides for a wide range of uses including retail, commercial, residential, entertainment, government, residential care, retirement, and community uses to name some’. ‘While Mirvac are only be in the early stages of their planning on the future of the site the uses above provide a high level guide of some potential uses’. ‘There will be some outcomes from the site that Brisbane City Council will be keen to see delivered or retained such as a bus interchange, public space, better connectivity, improved flood resilience, a better interface to Kedron Brook,’ he said. www.echo-news.com.au

Out and About in the Enoggerra Ward

LOCAL FLOOD RECOVERY UPDATES from Cr Andrew Wines Council’s City Projects Office (CPO) are working on a number of flood recovery projects in Enoggera Ward. If you have any questions about the works below please contact CPO on 1800 884 681 or at cityprojects@ brisbane.qld.gov.au.

KEDRON BROOK RESTORATION UPDATE Following substantial damage caused by the severe weather event this year, Council are committed to remediating the area as quickly as possible. The priorities are to make safe and reconnect pathways (with a focus on resilient design), and investigate Build Back Better opportunities. Because of the scale, complexity, and weather, advice is changing daily. Council are working to publish a website for the project so you can find the most up to date information on works. At time of printing the website wasn’t live, but I look forward to sharing the link once it’s published. Burwood Rd: Scouring occurred near the Burwood Rd bridge, however it remains structurally sound and open for use. CPO are liaising with Brookside Shopping Centre as some affected areas are private. Reinstatement at the bridge is expected to include embankment stabilisation and scour protection works, with regular inspections occurring until then. Royal Pde: Royal Pde will be finished in two parts, firstly CPO made the area safe and have reconnected pathways, with final landscaping and planting works to follow. This included reinstating the bridge crossing behind Stafford City, and removing and replacing damaged pathways. The bridge connection reopened 10 June, with planting works to occur on site in the coming months. Wolverhampton St: The culvert creek crossing will be reconnected in the coming months. Works are scheduled to fill and reinstate the embankment, repair and replace the existing culvert, and build connecting cement footpath on the top end. Urban Utilities (UU) need to repair a nearby sewer main and that must happen before Council are able to start work in late July. Bedford St: In two sections adjacent to Bedford Street, the banks have been washed away. Council is currently completing rehabilitation works at one site, with works planned at the second in June and July. Corbett St Park: These works are planned to start in the coming months, and Council is aiming to restore connectivity by the end of 2022. CPO are planning to reinstate the bikeway along the same alignment, with ongoing works to confirm the best design options for resilience at this location. Kalinga Park & culvert crossing: Detours are in place for two flood damaged locations in Kalinga Park; the rail underpass east of Diggers Drive and a nearby culvert crossing. Works at the rail underpass are expected to be completed by the time of publication, while works at the nearby culvert crossing require additional heritage approvals, which are underway. Works will be completed at the culvert crossing before the end of 2022. SHAND STREET LANDSLIP Council teams are working to restore access to the blocked footpath as soon as possible. The first priority has been making the area safe, and the initial assessment determined that further, highly detailed geotechnical investigations are required to identify the cause of the slip and solutions. 3407 2510 Council are engaging specialist external consultants to enoggera.ward@bcc.qld.gov.au undertake these investigations and design works. Restoration www.andrewwines.com works will start once the investigations are complete, and local residents will be informed in advance of any scheduled works. CouncillorWines CrAndrewWines

Labor Ignores Everton Roads

Tim Mander MP with Steve Minnikin MP, Shadow Minister for Transport and Main Roads

In spite of my continued advocacy for the State Labor Government to fund the intersection upgrade of South Pine Road and Stafford Road in Everton Park, the recent Queensland State Budget has once again failed to provide any funding for this crucial project. I am extremely disappointed that the Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Mark Bailey, has ignored the importance of this upgrade and has refused to consider the impact of this issue to motorists in the area. I will continue to advocate strongly for the State Labor Government to resolve this issue of serious congestion and safety. Furthermore, the Queensland State Budget has failed to address the deteriorating section of Old Northern Road from Rode Road to the Jinker track. It is very frustrating that the required reconditioning and resurfacing for the safety of motorists along this road has also been ignored.

Sorry Day Commemorations

National Sorry Day commemorations were delayed this year due to the rain. Nonetheless a very moving ceremony was hosted by the Teralba Park Stolen Generations Support Group to honour this important day. Sorry Day is an essential reflection of societies role in the healing of the challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia. It was an honour to be asked to speak at the commemorations and I would like to thank all those who attended as well as the Teralba Park Stolen Generations Support Group for an emotive morning. THE FERNY REPORT by Mark Furner M.P.

State Member for Ferny Grove

Oakleigh State School This year’s Queensland Budget has designated its first allocation of the funding required to deliver a new multipurpose hall for Oakleigh State School. This was a promise I made to students and parents at the 2020 election. So, I am pleased to announce the funding is now officially on its way this year. When I make a promise, I deliver on that promise. In addition to the four new classrooms being constructed on the grounds of Oakleigh State School at present, the hall construction is expected to commence later this year. This funding designation is one small part of the $10 million investment in Ferny Grove State Schools in this budget and brings to more than $60 million invested in our schools since I first took office back in 2015. Picabeen Community Centre Community Centres have been the cornerstone for our communities for people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, and social isolation – especially since the start of 2020. This year’s budget provides a massive funding boost to our community centres with our local, Picabeen Community Centre, receiving more than double its regular funding for the next four years! Health Budget In other budget news, the record $9.78 billion increase in health spending in this budget includes a massive expansion of the Prince Charles Hospital and a nation-first Queensland Cancer Centre.

Inspecting the site of the new classrooms with Principal Carstairs. It also includes a record $1.6 billion over five years to support plans that focus on mental health, substance abuse, addiction, and suicide prevention. Storylines Art Bursary The 2022 Storylines Art Bursary is on again and is open to residents of the Ferny Grove Electorate. The Bursary’s intent is to fund all, or part of costs associated with the successful applicant’s pursuit of studies or experiences to further their art and add value to the Ferny Grove community’s creative potential. Artists may apply for the cost of purchase of materials, texts, course or study fees or other expenses deemed appropriate by the assessment panel. 2022 applications close Friday 23 September. The applications will be judged by an independent assessment panel and the winners will be announced in October. The Major Award will be $2,000 with a runner up receiving $1,000. Revamp Your Wardrobe In Style

Unless you’re a master of the KonMari method, chances are you’ve got a few items of clothing you don’t wear taking up valuable closet space. A new club could be the answer to making the most of everything in your wardrobe without tossing out things you love. Chief Executive of The Nest Community Roz Fenson said upcycling is a great way to refresh your wardrobe and make the most of old favourites. ‘We all have at least one item of clothing we absolutely can’t bear to part with but we can no longer wear because it’s past it’s prime or no longer fits. With a bit of creativity, you can preserve the memory of it in a new way by upcycling, mending or restyling it,’ Ms Fenson said. ‘At The Nest, we love a to find a creative way to reuse textiles that would otherwise go to waste. Even our cute volunteers’ aprons are made from old pairs of jeans!’ An update from the Mitchelton and Districts Garden Club The Nest Community’s new Fashion Revamp Club is a monthly opportunity to breathe new life into your garments with the help of an experienced sewist. ‘Australians on average buy 27kg of new clothes every year and throw out another 23kg! That’s a lot of unnecessary textile waste and it fuels an industry of unsustainable fast fashion,’Ms Fenson said. ‘Our mission at The Nest is to create social connection through craft and sustainability. The Fashion Revamp Club is the expansion of our very popular Revamp, Restyle, Recycle workshop which we previously ran a few times a year. ‘The new club is the perfect opportunity to learn some new skills as a one off or come more regularly and be part of our community of crafters. And every time you’ll have fun upcycling or restyling an item into something unique while preventing unused clothing from ending up at the dump.’ Registration for the Fashion Revamp Club includes a threehour session with access to friendly expert advice, a voucher All being well the next meeting of the Mitchelton and for The Nest Haberdashery, and tea and coffee. When needed, only hose between the hours of 9am and 4am because any moisture on the ground or plants will encourage fungi and mould to develop. There could be powdery mildew already developing on your sweet peas, calendulas or roses. Dusting sulphur is a treatment to use or you could spray both sides of the leaves with a mixture of one part full cream milk and ten parts water. This mixture will not keep, so just make enough for the current job. Keep checking your citrus trees for signs of the gall wasp and the citrus leafminer. If you discover some, prune off the offenders. The cuttings should go in a plastic bag in the garbage bin. Liquid fertiliser could be applied to vegetable plants to ensure steady growth. Meetings commence immediately after morning tea which is served at 9.45am. Visitors and new members are most welcome. There is a lucky door prize, continuous raffle and plant exchange table. Brushing Up On Skills At The Gem Club

An update from the Mitchelton And Districts Gem Club A great majority of our retired members take get in touch with either John (0407582980) or Lloyd (3351 advantage of the winter months to go fossicking. 2093) who will be only too happy to have a chat to you about Several go to the Central Queensland Gemfields and others go further afield to the Western Queensland Opal fields and the Northern areas of Agate Creek (for Agate) and O’Brien’s Creek (for Topaz and Quartz). Those who go to the CQ Gemfields are generally seasoned travellers who go to these fields almost every year. Some have a leased area on which they have a hut to live in while they dig for the elusive Sapphires. It is during these winter months that our Club workshop is rather quiet and a good time for new members to be taught the skills of cutting and polishing semi - precious gemstones, such as cabochon cutting and flat lapping using such material as Agate, Jasper and Petrified Wood. Learning to facet is a time consuming stage of learning to cut your stones. Faceting is used to cut Sapphires and other translucent precious gemstones such as Topaz, Amethyst and Labradorite. We have three faceting machines at the Club but instructions on how to use these machines is done on a one on one course that is undertaken individually by a Club member. It is recommended that new members learn how to cut cabochons before attempting to learn faceting. The Mitchelton and Districts Gem Club has its clubrooms located at 46 Ferneydell Street, Ashgrove and is open every Thursday from 9am to 12 noon for sawing, cutting and polishing rocks and from 12 noon to 3pm for silverwork. It is also open on Saturday from 1pm to 4pm. The Club caters for Gemstone enthusiasts in the North Western area of Brisbane. If you feel this type of hobby interests you, do not hesitate to
