Claire Tierney - Yoga Sol
Claire Tierney - Owner of Yoga Sol
Claire is the owner of Yoga Sol a new Yoga and Massage Studio in Ferny Hills. Running a studio, teaching and massaging while being a Mum to both teenagers and toddlers is a juggle and balance. If there is something Yoga teaches us it’s balance.Having time for community, family and self is an art. ‘I am lucky to be able to to combine ‘me time’ with work and community time. Doing what I love and having the freedom to include my family in classes such as Mummy and Me for my little boys and Hot Vinyasa for my Husband and teenagers makes this the ideal situation for this life/work balance that we all strive towards,’ said Claire. Giving back is also very important for both community and Self. Every Saturday morning Claire runs a by Donation Class with any amount welcomed. All proceeds go to providing physio and massage to orphaned children with HIV and other physical disabilitys in Nepal and Vietnam. Claire has recently returned from Nepal after helping these children personally. Claire welcomes the whole community to create balance in our busy lives at Yoga Sol.

A mother of two beautiful children, a homemaker, a producer of a monthly newsmagazine. I have just described Katie Maclean, the new owner of The Hills Echo. Working from her office in her Ferny Hills home, Katie manages to juggle all her responsibilities with apparent ease as her roles interchange constantly. Katie has exceptional organisational skills but she also possesses business attributes such as a desire to please her clients and a talent for design that positively promotes all pages of each Echo edition. With a background in country newspapers, then glossy magazines, The Hills Echo was a very comfortable fit when Katie relocated to Brisbane and chose The Hills District to set up home. Katie worked with The Hills Echo team for two years before taking the plunge and setting out independently. Now the task of selling advertising, typesetting, layout design and special Features are all in Katie’s capable hands and long time readers of The Hills Echo can perhaps already notice a difference. The layout is bolder, more exciting with new modern accents to the advertising plus the addition of new Features are adding to The Hills Echo’s appeal. Katie has readily adopted her local area and wishes to continue the traditions of The Hills Echo, encouraging and promoting our local community – the people, the businesses, the advancements. The Hills Echo is in very safe but younger hands. What does Katie have in store for her Echo readers? Keep reading and find out together.
