President’s Message Hey Monsters! My name is Andrea Lee and I’m your president for the 2019-2020 term. I’m currently a junior and I’m super excited to serve you guys for the new term! This May, Franklin Key Club got to go to the May DCM and sandwich making! I hope to see everyone serve and for Franklin Key Club to reach our goals! This year I hope that, together, Franklin Key Club can achieve the Diamond Distinguished recognition. I also hope that our club can volunteer 5,000 hours for the term and to raise $1,000 for PTP. Another thing I hope to achieve is to raise our club funds and with the help of our treasurer, Katrina Do, have a fundraiser every two months. Why does this matter? It helps to lower the costs for events like Fall Rally North at Six Flags and District Convention! I hope that we can all come together as one Ohana this term and reach our goals!

WE HAVE Division 7 South Banquet One final goodbye to our DIV, definitely a day to remember. Key Club members throughout all 10 schools—Franklin, Cosumnes Oaks, Sheldon, Florin, Monterey Trail, Elk Grove, Pleasant Grove, Laguna Creek, Valley, and Rancho Murrieta— came to say their goodbyes, but also to toast to a new beginning and new term of Key Club within Division 7 South.

It was the first D7S banquet I went to and like all the other Key Club events, the energy was full of positivity. Seeing all the D7S clubs come together as a family to appreciate everything our division has done over one term really made everything our division has done over one term made everyone else and I emotional. The banquet made me greatly anticipate the next term because I know everyone else and I wanted to surpass all the accomplishments we did this year. The Division 7 South Banquet was not only a day of celebration and goodbyes but a day to inspire the next generation of Key Clubbers.

“During the DCM, D7S made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the homeless. The members who showed up split up into three teams– one sandwiches team, one cardmaking team, and one team assembling the bags. I learned a lot about teamwork while preparing this meal. I was a part of making the cards which was really fun. We got to write nice messages to the homeless to go along with the sandwiches and put into the bags. I had a lot of fun making cards and getting the opportunity to help others in my community as I learn about the true value of service in Key Club. I’m grateful and happy that I could make a positive difference to someone’s life and turn their negativity into positivity.” - Carey

International Updates A message from our International President: Hello Key Clubbers! I cannot believe that in a little over a month I will be giving my farewell as international president. This year has been filled with many late nights, stressful moments and hard work, but as I reflect on my year, that is not what comes to mind. What I see when I think about my term is the people: the amazing people that I get to work with on the Key Club International Board, the adults who guide us at Kiwanis International, the members all over the world making an impact on their communities, all of the wonderful people that I have met on my travels. I could go on and on about how this job has made an impact on who I am as a person, but the biggest impact has been left on me by all of you. The lessons that I have learned, the stories that I have heard and the memories that I have made are what I will take with me for the rest of my life. Key Club International is such a great organization, and what makes it so great is all of you. My advice to you, whatever role you hold in this organization, is to get to know the people around you, because Key Club is filled with some of the greatest people that you will ever meet. Key Club International, thank you for allowing me to serve you as your international president! -William Sims Key Club International President

“This year has gone by so quickly, I got to say: I will definitely miss doing recycling with all of my friends and other members.
