fter battling the chilly temperatures for those outdoor tasks— shoveling the walk, battled for a parking spot at the mall, stringing up those holiday lights—we tend to crave something hot. Feed your soul with something on the sweeter side, like a generous cup of hot cocoa. City Limits has the perfect cup ($5.95), crafted with Valrhona chocolate and Pastry Chef Tracy Kamperdyk Assue’s homemade marshmallows. If the weather outside is truly frightful and you can’t make it to the White Plains diner, try making their delicious version at home: VALRHONA HOT CHOCOLATE INGREDIENTS: ❏8 oz. Heavy cream ❏ 5 oz. Milk ❏ 1 T Sugar
❏2 .5 oz. Valrhona Chocolate ❏ 1/2 Small cinnamon stick ❏ 1/4 Vanilla bean
DIRECTIONS: 1. Bring all ingredients to a simmer except the chocolate. 2. Pour hot mixture over chocolate and mix with a whip until incorporated. 3. Strain into 2 warmed mugs and serve immediately.

Fill a large glass with ice. Fill the glass halfway with Prosecco. Then, add the two shots of Aperol. Top off with a splash of club soda and garnish with an orange slice.
SGROPPINO ❏ 1/3 cup lemon sorbet ❏ 3 oz. Prosecco DOC ❏ 1 oz. vodka Fill each glass with 3 oz. Prosecco and 1 oz. vodka. Scoop the lemon sorbet into the glass and serve immediately.
