9.9 Million - 23800 SF

The Parkway Theater renovation and addition is a work of architectural palimpsest. Rather than restore the theater to appear brand-new, this project sought to freeze its decay in place, maintaining the layers of DEOPKNU PK OD=NA SEPD Å‚HI CKANO 1DA -=NGS=U I=GAO movie-going magical.

The city decided to tear down McKeldin Fountain, a brutalist city landmark and memorial to Mayor McKeldin, before they had a plan of what to put in its place. This architectural installation inaugurated the NAJKR=PEKJ KB PDA OMQ=NA BKKP $NA=P %=HH EJ the Brooklyn Museum. reOrder swells the forms of the hall’s columns to create more intimate spaces for gathering within the grandiose hall. The forms are created using pleated fabric manipulated using a system of clamps and custom “dress forms� inspired >U ?NEJKHEJA CKSJO KB PDA PD ?AJPQNU O =J EJPANJ & SKNGA@ PK @ARAHKL PDA B=>NE? I=JELQH=PEKJ PA?DJEMQAO used, design and fabricate the armature system, and helped lead the installation team.

The armature was based on 19th century women’s crinolines

A SENSE OF PLACE Undergraduate Visual Arts Thesis Show Lewis Gallery Š -NEJ?APKJ +' This artwork was created at Princeton’s Lewis Center KB PDA NPO EJ PDA 3EOQ=H NPO ANPEł?=PA LNKCN=I 1DA work explored the creation of texture through line and the divide between craft and art. My thesis show, A Sense of Place (2010), played with the detached genre of aerial photography by NALNAOAJPEJC PDNKQCD PDA P=?PEHA IA@EQI KB PDA MQEHP Quilting and the use of ignoble materials in a gallery show was a challenge to the program which had been pedagogically focused on high-art.
