Designing Topshop allowed me to work alongside TopShop designers to create a new store based in LA. The design had to represent L.A. style and culture to attract locals and to create a successful buisness. For my concept I looked in to the urban art scene around the area as well as foucsing on spaces that are created within Urban L.A. From this I took local artists work to create installations around the space and shapes found within my conecpt that developed my spacial planning for this store. I used skills such as 3D MAX and Photoshop to create 3d visuals as well as some hand drawings to show off my design and to visualize it as a physical store.

The Toffee Factory is a buillding within Newcastle that acts as a base for many creative design companys, ranging from interior design, to graphic design. Working in an eviroment surrounded by creative people allows each buisness to expand in to new projects with new ideas. For this peice of office design, I picked the company ‘ Rachel McLane Interior Design’ and designed an office space which reflected the company and also allowed space for the company to expand, with more space that functions well. Each different area within the space has its own function whether it is a presentation room to areas to meet clients and just relax on a lunch hour. For this project I used geometry as my concept, focusing on shapes and how different areas can be pulled up an down. During this project I used skills such as, hand drawings, 3D MAX, photoshop, Auto Cad and Sketch up.
This project was based in the Batlic art gallery in Newcastle. Based upon the histoy of the site I chose to do a peice of resturant design that reflects what the building was previously, begining life as a flour mill and cattle market. The design uses industrial and+ rustic materials to reflect the concept of the project and create a comfortable enviroment for customers to dine and relax in. Within this Project I used a variety of skills to create visuals and Renders. Throughout this project model making played a huge influence on the design allowing me to understand how certain elements of my design would physically work.
SipSmith is an independant company that specializes in brewing their own unique gins and vodkas. It has a very strong identity right from their distillary to their personalized bottles. Using their company for a peice of Retail Design allowed me to design the first ever physical store for the brand. I used the distilary as my concept, making references to this from the moment you enter the store, to the minuet you can taste and smell the gin. Using materials such as copper and reclaimed wood allowed me to create an eviroment perfect for this Brand. I used skills such as Hand Drawings and sketchup to create visuals that represent the scheme and was able to refine these using 3D MAX which shows the scheme and the brand.
