Designing as a task, comes around with numerous challenges and problems. Solving them requires a set of skills and knowledge which demands to be learnt and mastered. In my journey of tackling problems with design solutions, I’ve shaped myself into a fast learner. Working with groups drastically improved my communication skills and with the ability of clear communication, I’m often the leader of the team. Architectural Design through the senses of the users and their experience in the space.

Introduction
Design Strategy: The way we experience rain has an impact on how we think about metropolitan space. Rain turns the city into a series of watercolour mirages. Petrichor | Evoking memories in architecture through the scent of fresh rain falling on land and the sight of dazzling drops of water glistening in the sunlight after a rainstorm. It rains for around 7 months a year in Guwahati, therefore the architecture must respond to this, be cautious in its approach towards rain, and be accessible even when it is pouring, to alter the situation. Rain can be used to turn a deficit into an advantage, and make it the most attractive part of the building. People have called the thunderstorms that occurred before Bohag Bihu ‘bordoi chila’ for a long time. Rain has been celebrated as a feature of people’s festivities since then. During the monsoons, they hold festivals and pray for flood relief. Because rain has always been a part of Assamese culture, why not celebrate rain through architecture? To design a building form that is best visible (and experienced) when it rains. The best time to visit the structure is during the monsoon season. Running rain water along the site, for example, can be transformed into an attraction, as can water cascading down the created building and small waterfalls when the water is brought into the rainwater harvesting system. Museums: 1. Representation of the Ahom Dynasty’s history and culture 2. Neo - Vaishnavite Sankardev Museum 3. The influence of Assamese literature and art on the Assam Movement (1979-1985) and the Assam Language Movement (1960). (a modest library will be included) After thoroughly examining and comprehending Guwahati’s history and culture, it was discovered that the Assam movement of the 1970s and 1980s lacks a specific space in the city. With the exception of a few tiny things. There is nothing in the state museum’s corner, which makes it difficult for visitors to understand what this movement was about and what it meant to the people of Assam. Which is why the Assam movement needed its own space, and my design represents what this movement signified and how rebellious it was in nature, fighting against a cultural threat. to return to the origins of what Guwahati and Assam represent as a place, in order to preserve its history and cultural heritage The names of the martyrs (860 names) will be etched and kept on a stone memorial. Why not give something back after removing so many trees and vegetation from the property and, by implication, the ecosystem? As a result, green roofs have become appealing.

Introduction
Design Strategy: When restaurants and commercial buildings elicit strong emotions in their customers, the views they provide become important both aesthetically and emotionally. The construction of such structures in the midst of only low-rise residences and an army base on the other side becomes an architectural issue in and of itself. There is a need to create innovative places that not only handle the specific problem, but also solve other architectural issues that are related to it. What should you do if your prominent facade faces south-west, where heat gain is greatest? What should you do if you wish to invoke biophilia in a structure that lacks views? Providing protruding green roofs for each two levels, which in turn creates balconies that can encapsulate plants for floors that lack green roofs in between, becomes a decisive answer to the aforementioned architectural challenges. These roofs provide mutual shading to the floors below while instilling biophilia in the users. These encased trees in the balconies not only add to the building’s visual appeal, but also fulfill additional functional requirements like as undulating wind motions and regulating ventilation throughout the winter. When it comes to any building, the circulation and accessibility of user groups becomes the most important issue. When a building just has one movement route per user group, movements are easier and can be coordinated more easily, and there is no root for chaos. But what do you do when you have multiple user groups for the same building? What can be done to ensure that user groups do not mix? The establishment of cores at different locations can bring the coherence of movements and circulation under control. The movement of user groups of the same service and passenger cores are intuitively separated (i.e movement of service oriented people and passengers are separated). Frontage is anything that attracts people to a specific location. What should you do if your building has little commercial frontage? And what do you do when the road makes an angle with the building and there’s a service road in the middle with vegetation, making the frontage smaller than it is? To enhance the frontage, the anchor stores are being shamphered on the front. It can also be used to hold logos for displaying and attracting pedestrians.
24| Alcove
Design Concept
The building includes five circulation cores to improve circulation and service access. Also, different user groups’ movement should be completely separated.
Because the South-West facade is the most prominent, the green spaces will act as a buffer between the outdoor space and the building envelope, preventing more heat gain from this direction. This will also address the issue of the site’s lack of nice views. Extruded balconies and green spaces will also help to shade the floors below.
The front of the building has been shamphered to give improved frontage due to the lack of commercial frontage of the Anchor Store from the highway.

What comes to your mind first when you hear the words “Meditation & Yoga”? Most of us would immediately have these two words in our mind right now Inner Peace & Physical Fitness. But the question is why are we still using 5,000 year old practice in 21st century to achieve Peace & Health ? • The answer to this is – Because it still works. Although, we have hi-tech medical facilities & medications but somehow they fail to deliver the results when it comes to mental peace. The practice of Meditation & Yoga combined have provided best results in scientific studies also. • Yoga & Meditation in India were first practiced only by religious monks. Today millions of people worldwide roll out their mats daily to practice and is now a worldwide phenomenon. Dedicated center und in yoga classes today. • Both Meditation & Yoga has a huge significance for a 21st century person as we are constantly under the competitive and workaholic environments , our sedentary lifestyles , junk food eating habits & our constant engagement with digital screens ( mobiles , laptops etc.) can have an overwhelming effect on us both mentally & physically. • The French philosopher Michel de Montaigne is quoted as having once said ‘The greatest thing in the world is to know how to belong to oneself.’ Never is this truer in our current, fast-paced society. The practice of meditation & yoga has certainly been recognized as a key method that can help. • The Yoga & Meditation industry has found a strong footing in the wellness industry. According to a study conducted in 2017, over half of 200 million yoga practitioners are of India origin.
