This Indenture Made (in duplicate) the Second day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Eighty five.

Between Hugh Smith of the Township of Eldon in the County of Victoria farmer Pf the first part Flora Smith after the same place his wife Of the Second part and Niel Smith after the same place their son Of the Third part

Witnesseth that the said party of the First part for and in consideration of the covenants and agreements contained in a Deed bearing even date herewith, and to be observed and performed by said party of the Third part are also in consideration of One Dollar of lawful money of Canada to Him in hand paid to the Third part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) Hath Granted Released and Quitted claim and by there presents Do Grant Release and Quit claim unto the said party of the Third Party part His heirs and assigns For Ever: All the Estate right title interest claim and demand whatsoever both at law and in equity or otherwise howsoever and whether in possession or expectancy of Heir the said party of the first part of in to or or [sic] out of All and Singular that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate lying and being in the Township of Eldon in the County of Victoria Containing One Hundred acres

I certify that the within instrument is duly entered and registered in the registry office for the County of Victoria in Book No. 14 for the township of Eldon At 2.20 o’clock pm of the 9 day of March A.D. 1885 Number 1073. T.H. Dunsford

1. The I was personally present and did see the within Instrument and Duplicate thereof duly signed sealed and executed by Hugh Smith and Flora Smith two of the parties thereto. 2. That the said Instrument and duplicate were executed at the said Town of Lindsay 3. That I know the said parties 4. That I am a subscribing Witness to the said Instrument and Duplicate
