Standard by Kayan aims to provide all-encompassing design solutions by recognizing the uniqueness. We cater to all types of clients, private or public, and offer state of the art expertise while striving for cost effective design. Our new entity aims to set foot into a variety of services, incubating concepts by young entrepreneurs and exhibition designs for diverse audiences. Other services include small scale landscaping, installation of green roofs, internal courtyards, and outdoor gardens. We consider contemporary trends, paired with elegance and sophistication as the primary factors of good design. During the course of our projects, attention to detail and flexibility in design option is the base of our execution. Standard by Kayan already began projects in Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia and offers solutions to the entire GCC region.



Started in September 2016, Kayan office has initiated a new direction towards creating awareness and educating our generation in various fields of design and architecture in Kuwait and the Middle East. The Create movement provides a wide variety of training courses and workshops in different levels. Create is meant to give the participants an introduction to be creative with ideas and a development through the thinking process in a short period of training, in addition to focusing on hand-on activities and providing tones of real-world case studies and videos.

01 INTRODUCTION

Kayan is a growing architectural firm lead by Architect Bashar Al - Salem. Established in 2006, Kayan offers a wide range of professional services including Architectural Design, Interior Design and Design Build Services. KAYAN is an architecture and construction company established by architect Bashar Al Salem offering its clients a one - stop shopping concept from conception in design, build out to interior design and picking up your keys Recently, Kayan has separated the construction department to be another entity and construction firm by itself, due to different market demands and conditions. Our design approach maintains the architectural identity of the region while adding a contemporary, modern and practical spirit. Starting from conceptual sketches to a developed design; Kayan’s design team corresponds and works collaboratively with the clients to insure manifesting their ideas into a design solution. KAYAN projects are distinguished by their innovative contemporary and vernacular concepts where the simplicity and functionality of modern design is combined with local traditions and history leading to works that inspire pride now and build the historical legacies of tomorrow.

Since its foundation in 2006, KAYAN has built a strong reputation with over 100 projects ranging in type, budget and size from small scale private residents, chalets and restaurants to large scale commercial, residential complexes and educational facilities. Originally focused on residential custom home projects, KAYAN currently has a diverse practice in new and remodelled single - family homes, multifamily/mixed use buildings, community and commercial projects. KAYAN is best known for its stunning residential work that is characterized by its innovative use of quality materials that sets market trends, and its elegant and practical yet unexpected design solutions. KAYAN’s retail, and community work, has also gained much attention recently, since each project is designed around a unique function and storyline developed with clients, resulting in strongly themed spaces that are imaginative and highly functional.
