WHO WE ARE Located in Kuwait and founded in 2006, Kayan provides design services in architecture, urban design, and interiors for a wide variety of public and private clients. At Kayan we produce architecture that considers the user first and foremost. We are guided by the simple beauty of the modern, the efficiency of space, the importance of the human scale, and the belief that architecture and good quality design is meant to be enjoyed by all. Kayan’s signature designs are based on its capability of keeping an eye on the current design trends and materials, then skillfully incorporating them into our designs to create simple and sustainable solutions. Kayan first began its focus on residential projects and grew together with the market demands by diversifying its practices to cover all sectors of architectural design within the Residential, Commercial and Public parameters. With more than 100 projects in its portfolio, ranging from small-scale private residences, chalets, and restaurants to large-scale residential and commercial complexes; Kayan has now established its name within the architecture field in Kuwait.

Pacific Hill Chalet, is located on the Southern waterfront of Kuwait, this family retreat comprises of multiple chalets laid out linearly facing the sea . The project consists of several units housing five families within a socially friendly space while providing each unit with its privacy and a visual connection to the beach. This enables the users to live together within a space that retains the desired privacy and security in every chalet. The units are built in close proximity to each other around main pathways and gathering points, providing shade and a more regulated climatic experience. The outcome of all these challenges and Kayan team’s expertise was a domestic retreat within nature that merges traditional living with design.
