Edinburg CISD Friday Night Lights is Back!
THE STYLE SECTION
Officially started of their season back in October 23, 2020. All four Edinburg High Schools went head to head with each other as well as other school within their district. Edinburg CISD took the necessary measures to ensure a safe place for the spectators and the students. Each player received two tickets to give to their family, so that the sitting would be limited but also safe for everyone else.
The students on the team were very excited that they had a little part of their normal lives back. Some were able to experience their first/last Friday Night Lights. The seniors last year were able to have their traditional Friday Night Lights, but the seniors this year had some accommodations that they had to get used to. Students were not allowed to be closer than six feet away, and that included; cheerleader, band member, drill team, ROTC, and student fans.

“Support the local businesses who support the area where you live, work, and play.”
Throught this pandemic many have lost their job and some way or another they had to find a way to make ends meet. So many businesses rose in the start of March 2020, and many more have grown. Businesses such as bakeries, crafts, plate sales, custom personalized orders, and more. Although there are business that have been flourishing there have also been businesses that maybe tooK a wrong turn or just didn’t;t succeed as they should have. This pandemic we have seen how much we learned to appreciate things that we have and the things we don’t. And we also saw that if we could help others, we should. If you are ever given the chance to support local businesses, take it. If you didn’t know Edinburg had any local businesses here are a few.

Avoid close contact Inside your home: Avoid close contact with people who are sick.If possible, maintain 6 feet between the person who is sick and other household members.
Outside your home: Put 6 feet of distance between yourself and people who don’t live in your household.
Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when around others Masks help prevent you from getting or spreading the virus. You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick. Everyone should wear a mask in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Masks should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

Capricorn Gather with your people, Capricorn, whether safely in person or through your video conferencing platform of choice. The Sun’s in Scorpio, heating up your communal eleventh house and putting you in collaborative spirits until November 21. Whether you’re celebrating, commiserating or joining forces on a world-changing project, there’s never been more of a need to lean on your existing circle and join forces with kindred spirits.
Aquarius Aquarius for president? You’ve got big goals to accomplish, and with the Sun marching through Scorpio and your tenth house of career and ambition until November 21, you’re on a mission to make them happen. Although there’s so much going on in the world now, it’s important that

Time to build your dreams into reality, Libra. The Sun is making its annual visit to Scorpio and your second house of work, security and money until November 21. Take one or two of those birthday wishes and turn them into doable goals. Then work on them step by step each day.
Virgo You’ve got lots on your mind as the month begins, and you’re ready to share those thoughts with the world. Sagittarius Slow down and take care of yourself, Sagittarius. While stressful world events make it hard to relax, the Sun is hunkered in Scorpio and your twelfth house of rest, healing and closure until November 21. Scorpio The tension of 2020 is reaching a full boil as November begins, but there’s a silver lining: It’s Scorpio season until November 21! While that doesn’t make you immune to what’s happening in the world, you will be better able to compartmentalize (which is different from denial, btw) and focus on some of your own plans and pursuits. When you feel out of control, try to manage the things you CAN change instead of what you can’t. As a Scorpio, you’d rather have everything go your way, but if this year has taught you anything…

With the Sun in Scorpio and your sixth house of health and organization until November 21, focus on the things you CAN change: your habits, the way you eat and move, the conversations you choose to engage in.
