Artistic Statement Architecture is about the process--the journey of discover y, both in the design and on the personal level. The true beauty of architecture lies in the first intuitive moves, when the end result is merely a fuzzy idea. The design unfolds its elf as the intuitive process continues, with more pragmatic issues entering the equation. Through the act of making a par t of the ar tist is infused in the work--this is where the true beauty lies.

Buoy Site 16
The Buoys, delicately strung from the oak limbs, gently sway in the Gulf Breeze--creating a measure of both the landscape and the condition. A whistling of leaves and underbrush are accompanied by the bobbing of the interlocked series of buoys. From the top of the ridge , the buoys seem to float on top of the thick palmetto underbrush as they stretch to the back of the oak grove . A visit to t he site after Hurricane Gustav showed the sheer destructive power of hurricanes and their affect on the coast. The buoys still hung, slightly twisted as kew from the high winds--creating their own forma tion through the grove .
