Word Association Wrote down everything that came to mind starting with ‘plants’ in order to start thinking about the logo

Word Map Further exploration of the topics covered in the Word Association in order to narrow down the objects for the logo

Logo Designs Many different ideas for the logo. These acted as a basis to figure out which iterration I enjoyed the look of most

In the end, I didn’t choose a single design, but instead chose several to explore

Logo Type One The roundness is both organic and illustrative

This form felt the most cohesive and balanced of the forms

Logo Type Four The box symbolizes the aquarium and the Bylyxa Japonica is a common aquascaping plant, which captures the essence of the brand

The smaller inner parts of the box were removed, which allowed for more breathing room for the plant

Logo Types Further Refinement The plant form from logo type three was chosen, then bubbles were added to further solidify the aquarium idea

Color Variations The third form from the previous page was chosen for its nice balance and text weight. The second color was chosen. The blue on the plant further shows the aquarium theme with a nice green.

Logo Type Black & White The forms in black and white to exam the balance of the logo elements more closely
