’ve always loved the creative world. As a young girl I spent lots of my time drawing, painting and crafting. In 2005, I enrolled at Stockport College on a National Diploma Graphic Design course. After two years of studying, I graduated with a triple distinction. In 2011 I started working with a professional photographer as a PA. It soon transpired that I could put my creative knowledge to good use and help the business with my design skills. I was involved with marketing campaigns, setting up and maintaining the business websites (WordPress & Prophoto5) along with printed promotional materials. Also, I engaged with customers through social media (facebook and twitter). It was great to stretch my creative wings. A big project I coordinated and designed, was a brand new local gardening magazine called Garden Buzz. It was great to hear people ‘buzzing’ about the magazine and I networked with some really fantastic people in the gardening industry. The values and practices I’ve taken from this experience have been invaluable.
