HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT HOW YOUR BUSINESS COULD HELP ANIMALS IN NEED? Volunteering with KHS will not only help animals in the community, but it will also help build relationships within teams and boost company morale. Your employees will have an opportunity to interact with one another in a way that stimulates communication and company team building, by participating in either off-site or on-site group service projects. This in turn will have a beneficial effect on productivity as employees return to work feeling motivated and inspired.
On-Site Volunteering We know that your time is limited during the work day, so we will bring the work to you! On-Site Volunteering is a tangible, hands-on volunteer opportunity with no travel and minimal time commitment. At each volunteering event you will understand the impact of the work that you’re doing and get to know the organization you’re supporting all while working from the comfort of your office.
Off-Site Volunteering Get out of the office and support the community with your fellow coworkers! Our off-site volunteering program offers a 2-5 hours service and team-building experience at KHS, including an orientation to the organization and a hands-on work experience.
We’ve loaned out 1 citronella bark collars, and 6 pet crates. KHS volunteers have given us an incredible 432 hours of their time!
For volunteer information, contact Sarah Mead at 269-743-0382 or smead@kazoohumane.org
“It’s been the most enjoyable volunteer event we’ve done!” -Stryker R&D

As you can imagine, we take animal welfare pretty seriously here at the Kalamazoo Humane Society, but we can't do it alone. We need your help to support our programs and services so that more animals can be helped. Your support gives food, basic veterinary care, suitable shelter and a safe place to live for thousands of pets each year. You can get in on the warm and fuzzy feelings by registering to walk for animals. Then, help us raise even more funds and awareness by asking everyone you know to make a contribution to your personal fundraising page. We've made it easy for you to fundraise by partnering with FirstGiving. After you register, you'll be able to create and customize your personal fundraising page so you can easily ask for, and receive, donations for the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
