SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

New Hampshire Ball Bearing’s Astro Division is located in Laconia, NH— heart of the scenic Lakes Region. Astro is a World-Class 450+ person, climate-controlled manufacturing facility that produces spherical bearings, rod ends, sub-assemblies and other precision metal parts for the aerospace industry.

This position will be lead, facilitate and support quality improvements with suppliers using progressive problem solving techniques and statistical methodology. This candidate is responsible to work with manufacturing to improve quality and develop solid corrective actions. Responsible for area quality metrics, data collection and analysis. Monitor key process parameters. Lead and support quality initiatives. Communicate quality aspects within a team approach to drive improvements. Daily interaction with suppliers to identify and improve product and process quality. Perform supplier quality audits. Help suppliers with quality related process and system development. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. A four year degree and ASQ certifications with prior aerospace industry experience preferred, lesser degree or equivalent working experience would be considered.

* Performs needed maintenance on buildings and grounds, such as replacing locks, inserting window panes, oiling or lubrication of hinges, adjusting various pieces of equipment, minor plumbing and incidental electrical repairs, light carpentry, painting, when directed by a supervisor or written work order.

* Maintains grounds, pruning shrubs and trees, re-seeding, fertilizing, spraying insecticide on shrubs and trees, removing snow and ice and other task associated with grounds maintenance.

* Will assist the Facilities Supervisor in the management of all facilities and the administration of all SNHS programs and policies;

* Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings, per established schedules.

Kitchen Assistant

MacDowell, the nation's oldest multidisciplinary artist residency program, seeks part-time Kitchen Assistants to join a small team that prepares and serves nourishing meals to artists and occasional guests at our Peterborough campus.

* Shifts are 4-8:30p daily and/or 7a-12:30p on weekends (shift meals provided)

* Primary responsibilities include setting up and maintaining the dining room, dishwashing, and light salad, fruit and vegetable preparation

* Ideal position for someone looking for a regular part-time schedule

Compensation $16-17/hour. MacDowell is open 365 days a year and some holiday coverage may be required; the pay rate for observed holidays is $22.50-25.50/hour. As a parttime position that generally averages less than 20 hours/week, this position is offered without substantial employee benefits.
