PLANET JAMES Star Date 2007
To our intergalactic family Thank you for making this one stellar year! We hope you find joy looking through this picture book regardless of whether you were able to share the moment with us. You are always in our thoughts. Love and peace. Rob, Kris, James and Ruby
HELLO! THIS IS JAMES! A planet is a celestial being orbiting a star, as defined by the International Astronomical Units. That is where the similarity with science ends; for the planet we speak of is like no other you have seen or heard. This planet is a celestial being whose presence affects many lives. This little planet is James. Come take a journey and see for yourself.
Planet James lives in the solar system of Fun occupied by many other friendly orbs, celestial beings and cosmic cousins.
The center of this bright, little planet's universe is a twin star called The Parents. The Parents shine love to nurture and help Planet James grow strong and happy.
Weather is active on Planet James. While mostly sunny, conditions may change without warning into something dark, foul and boisterous. While maddening, these tempests are temporary and essential to the little planet's growth – something The Parents need to remind themselves of from time to time.
Planet James has one satellite called Ruby Moon, who watches over the little planet and exerts a calming effect over wild, mood swings. Ruby Moon has many ridges and bumps, formed by meteor crashes, but that doesn't stop her from continually orbiting Planet James.
Planet James visited his cosmic cousins in the Cheboygan Galaxy where they frolicked all day long in the interstellar Huron sea.
One night, Ruby Moon gave Planet James an awful scare when she ran away during a fiery meteor shower. Cosmic cousins Abby and Maddy comforted Planet James while The Parents along with Stars Aunt Allison and Uncle David searched the dark nebula for a long time.
Finally, they found Ruby Moon deep in a Black Hole, shivering with fright. Set back into orbit, Ruby Moon and Planet James were happy once again. Ruby Moon promised never to run away and The Parents promised never to create fiery meteor displays.
Cosmic cousins enjoyed their visit to the tiny Macinac asteroid where they saw many strange hoofed and winged creatures.
Planet James visited cosmic cousins Connor and Reid in the Jersey Galaxy where they body surfed and pretended to be extraterrestrial spies.
Summoned to Pittsburgh Galaxy for shooting star Maddy's graduation party, Planet James celebrated with cosmic cousins Abby, Francis and Andrew. Stars Aunt Kim, Aunt Allison and Uncle David along with Red Giants Granny-Mom and Grandpa (Bob-o) helped celebrate, too.
In the Rochester Galaxy, Planet James often gets together with cosmic cousins Grace and Julia to romp, color, eat and pretend to be rock stars.
Planet James celebrates many lunar and solar holidays with Stars Grandma Linda, Papa Frank, Uncle Steve, Aunt Wendy, Aunt Marilyn and Red Giant Nana.
"Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts." Author unknown.
More than anything in the universe, Planet James loves to play "all the day."

I slid upon the kitchen floor I slid upon the kitchen floor And tumbled on my head I skateboarded in the bathtub Which nearly killed me dead I raced my red car down the stairs And smashed my mom's good vase I chased the dog around the house Then tripped upon my face I leap-frogged off the diving board Got water up my nose I chased a rooster up a hill It turned and pecked my toes My mom just sighs and shakes her head There's always something new To climb and jump, or just explore I'm five... what should I do?
