MARKING CE Let's clear this up ! The marking CE is the declaration in which the producer states that the supplied products are in compliance with the standards (as for windows and doors, the production standard is the EN 14351-1). Starting from February 2009 all over the domestic and Community market ONLY the marketing of products marked CE will be allowed. Windows and doors can be classified according to their PERFORMANCES . In order to achieve the classification CE, each window and each door must OBLIGATORY get through some trials which are carried out in reliable laboratories. All the producers will have to certify the resistance of their windows to the different trials: AIR PERMEABILITY, WIND LOADS RESISTANCE, WATER RESISTANCE and U-VALUE, in order to check their performance degree. Moreover the marking CE compels the producers to provide themselves with a control system on the supply chain. The GPF INFISSI has already obtained the ISO 9001 certification in the 2006. That means the quality is not a privilege belonging to the marking CE, as it doesn't certify the performances, but thanks to it, it's going to be easier to identify the products' performances and to sort them out according to what is desired.
ISO 9001 GPF Frames, which has always directed its efforts towards the high level of its products, has obtained the certification ISO 9001 needed to guarantee the high-quality of the whole production system. A careful check of all the working phases along with the greatest care in the material selection are the critical factors determining the high-quality standard which characterizes its own product.

PAINTING The new painting technology applied on all our windows stands out because being the bars painted in horizontal and not when the frame is mounted, we are able to guarantee the uniformity of the paint all over the sides and interstices of the profile, a unique feature in the wood industry. To take avail of that it's logically the finish degree and the wear and tear standing of the coats, as better described in the certifications.

All the guarantees run from the invoicing date and can be excercised only after an inspection from our authorized technician. By guarantee, it's meant either the repair or partial or total replacement of the concerned parts or its components, excluding any refund and/or pretension. The GPF Infissi Srl declares that the standard windowpanes, the hinges, the hardware, the washers together with the accessories which are found defective owing to manufacturing defects, are covered by guarantee. The guarantee decades for those products which may turn out to be defective due to negligence, wrong installation and non-maintenance.

Also called destructive test, as the stresses to which the sample and above all its locking accessories (snibs, hinges, etc.) are exposed, are brought to the highest point, through real windgusts up to 246 km/h (3000 Pa) for the class C5. The respect of the acoustic requirements has to be evaluated in place, according to the standard UNI EN ISO 140-5. The restrictions imposed don't depend on the climatic zones.

TRANSMITTANCE (U-value) It's the quantity of heat (Watt) able to go across an element for each surface square metre and for each Kelvin degree of difference (W/m²K). The value is indicated by the symbol U and the lower this value, the lower the dispersion of the heat. The U-value is split into :

It has been determined, and we can judge for ourselves, that the floor space near windows accounts for 10-20% of the total habitable floor space, but it doesn't get used due to the effect “cold wall” during the winter and the heat blast during the summer. We can improve the comfort with a quality window, a low emissive and selective pane, thus eliminating the effects of the seasons and retrieving precious square metres at home.
LOW EMISSION PANES (for winter saving) It's the property of the glass which reduces the heat exchange among the glasses in order to improve the Ug factor. This is obtained trough a magnetronic sediment on the glass, made up by an electromagnetic process of noble metals, which actually reduces drastically the dispersion for heat exchange. Such glasses are able to offer an extraordinary inside comfort thanks to the elimination of the “cold wall” effect which is perceptible during the winter, enabling therefore to get near the window with a considerable saving.
LOW EMISSION AND SELECTIVE PANES (for summer + winter saving) It's a low emission pane with the same properties as above, and in addition the capacity to reflect up to 60% of the energy radiated and sun temperature. Essential in summer to improve inside comfort and drastically reduce the air-conditioning costs.

SPECIAL COUNTERFRAME WINDOW AND SHUTTER COUNTERFRAME TO WALL-UP ON INSULATING EXTERNAL RENDER OR PLASTER Counterframe formed by a load bearing structure made of extruded polystyrene whose width changes according to the masonry. Two L-shaped counterframes complete with clamps are positioned at both ends, an internal one for window or window + insect screen housing, and an external one provided with threaded steel pipes complete with caps for fixing the shutter and aluminium edge beam for plaster flush and/or the housing of the eventual insulated external render.
