Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Founder Juliette Gordon Low organized the first Girl Scout Troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Ga. Girl Scouts of the USA was chartered by the U.S. Congress on March 16, 1950. Today, there are 3.2 million Girl Scouts – 2.3 million girl members and 890,000 adult members working primarily as volunteers. In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Symptoms
Symptoms can mimic a common cold, a hangover, food poisoning, depression
or fever). If the family’s (or pet’s) symptoms decrease when away from the house, seek medical treatment or get a carboxyhemoglobin level blood test for CO poisoning. r %izziness, ringing in the ears
Because the gas is odorless, victims may become disoriented before realizing any danger, unable to call for help or exit the premise. CO displaces oxygen in the blood, causing the brain, heart and other tissues, muscles and organs to become oxygen starved, a condition called carboxyhemoglobin or COHb.
r #lurred vision, burning eyes
Energy-efmDJFOU homes may be more susceptible to CO poisoning because they do not allow enough air in the home to dissipate normal CO output.
r Confusion, disorientation, loss of muscle control
r 1ersistent throbbing headaches
