MIAMI COUNTY NEWSPAPERS will be holding a contest for amateur photographers to showcase their talent with photos taken in Miami County: landscapes, landmarks, events, people, cultures, history, etc. during all seasons of the year. A grand prize winner and 12 monthly winners will be chosen to be in our 2015 MIAMI COUNTY NEWSPAPER CALENDAR, that will be inserted in the Dec. 3 issues of the Miami Republic, Osawatomie Graphic and Louisburg Herald. Extra copies will also be available for purchase to take home for bragging rights! ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN OCT. 17, 2014

PRIZES: If your photo is chosen to appear on a monthly calendar page you will receive $25. If your photo is chosen for the cover, you will receive $100. CONTEST RULES: 1. Photos will not be accepted without a completed entry form. Cut out the form below and submit with photo BY E-MAIL OR bring a copy of your CD or DISK to the Miami County Republic office, 121 S. Pearl St., Paola. 2. Only five photos per person will be accepted. Only ONE can win. Do not write your name or any other information on the photograph. 3. Digital entries preferred. Resolution of digital photos should be a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and submitted in jpeg, tif or eps format. CDs or disks will be accepted. You may put all entries on one CD or disk.
