Culture Caravan Pasig City JULY 10 To further reach out to the Filipino people, the Korean Cultural Center will be holding its second Culture Caravan at the Division of Pasig City. The Culture Caravan is aimed at disseminating awareness and information with regard to Korean Culture more than what is seen on the tube. Activities are designed to make public school students understand Korean culture through interactions and performances.

ONGOING REGISTRATION FOR KCC COOKING CLASSES

KCC Exhibition Hall JULY 14 - Aug 12 In coordination with the Korea Ceramic Foundation (KOCEF), the Korean Cultural Center will be launching a ceramics exhibit that will highlight the renowned Korean tradition of ceramics, infused with modern touches and techniques. The exhibit will feature the works of 15 Korean artists, bringing to the Philippines the 10,000 year old history of Korean ceramics.

KCC invites everyone to learn how to cook authentic Korean dishes from a Korean chef. We have an ongoing class registration for those who want to experience and master the wonders of Korean cuisine. Pinoy KPOP Star 2012 KCC Hallyu Hall JULY 21

The Center is looking for the best Pinoy entertainer as it holds the second Pinoy Kpop Star. The winner will get a chance to represent the Philippines in the KPOP WORLD FESTIVAL this October 2012 with the winners of all Korean Cultural Center all over the world competing for the coveted crown. Follow the footsteps of last year’s Kpop World Festival Grand Champion, Ms. Karla Carreon of the Philippines.

A day dedicated for Hallyu fans nationwide, with KPOP Cover Dance Groups battling it out to represent the Philippines in the KPOP Dance Cover Festival during the Hallyu Dream Festival September at Gyeongju, Korea. There are several other events in store in celebration of the first year anniversary of the Center such as the Drama Cosplay Competition, photo contests, raffles and games among others.

The Yeosu Expo was designed in order to awaken and alert world citizens to the pressing issues of climate change and global warming caused by industrial activity. Emphasizing the shared impact of a damaged marine ecosystem as an issue calling for shared responsibility, the Yeosu Expo will pave the way for global cooperation in addressing these issues. Over 100 countries will be participating in the Expo, in addition to ten international and business organizations and 16 local government organizations.
