No doubt, there’s a handful of technicians in our IT department who would agree. I guess you could say I know just enough to be considered dangerous.
But because I’m not computer savvy, I’m probably the happiest person in the world when I reboot my computer after a sudden crash happens as I’m working on something important. The image on the screen signals the system is back to normal and that everything is working fine, and I know my files are safe and I can get on with my work.
A simple reboot! That’s all it took. I turned off the computer, waited a few seconds before restarting it, and presto! I was back in business.
That’s how it seems sometimes with our spiritual lives. Something happens that impacts our lives in such an unexpected or drastic way—something (like a pandemic) that draws us away from our normal routine and presents us with a bunch of uncertainties. We can become so focused on the issues around us that we lose sight of where we were headed. It may even cause a disconnect between God and us.
Obviously, God doesn’t see us as computers but as His sons and daughters. He understands that, somewhere along the line, we will make mistakes—we may say or do things we shouldn’t and suddenly we’re facing unpleasant consequences. He recognizes when we have become distracted and disconnected from Him. And because of His love, mercy and grace, God is always ready, willing and able to make things right—to give us a reboot. He’s ready to hit the reset button on our lives and correct our bad attitudes concerning circumstances or situations that we have no control over. He’s ready to forgive our wrongs and forget they ever happened, and wipe our records clean.
Then He gives us a fresh start. Everything is restored and returned to normal.
First John 1:9, The Message, tells us: “If we admit our sins—simply come clean about them—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing.” In other words, God will give us a reboot.

Honor. Godly honor. It’s the kind of honor that keeps its word and standard of integrity no matter what. It never fails— and it always succeeds.
That Comes From God Only Honor
Every day, commitments of honor are required of you. You have choices to make regarding ethics in your job, disciplining your children, keeping your marriage strong and it’s hard.
It’s a choice between God’s honor and man’s. One brings true and sure success; and one brings shallow, temporal success that ends in ultimate failure.
So, how are you doing? Do you have trouble keeping commitments? Do people take you at your word? Or have they grown skeptical of your promises? If so, then you need honor honor
POINTS TO GET YOU THERE:
1 You can be a powerful force in the earth as a believer walking by faith. But to do it, you must be honorable. (John 541-44)
2 Do the right thing. Stand your ground no matter how tough the battle or how great the temptation. (Ps. 15:4)
that comes from God only. You just can’t live the Christian life without honor. You’ll never be faithful without it. You can’t be. Without honor, you don’t have the power to be faithful. It’s just not in you.
In John 5:41-44, Jesus told the Pharisees about honor that comes from God only: “I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one

As you get into the Word, and allow it to get on the inside of you, honor will well up in you so full you’ll have no desire to walk in anything else. (Jos. 1:8)
4
As you become honorable you will speak the truth. You will take your words seriously. You will never distort the truth or speak idle words. (Matt. 5:37)
5 Make the decision to walk in the honor that comes from God. (John 5:41)
of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?”
A lot of ministries in our day have fallen. Preachers of the gospel have fallen. Church people have fallen. But I’ll tell you something, you can continue to stand, and not fall. You can be a powerful force in the earth as a believer walking by faith. But to do it, you must be honorable.
God is faithful to honor you when you act honorably. That’s because you are acting in something that originated in Him! He is honorable. When you operate in Him, you operate in honor.
responsibility of representing Christ to the unbeliever. Peter exhorted believers to have “your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation” (1 Peter 2:12).
Man’s definition of honor, however, is quite di erent from God’s. It is a derivative of the honor of God, but it is light and shallow it is a false honor that deceives men. Honor in the world comes from men and is given to men what I call the honor game. In the honor game, everything is done to gain the prestige, power and authority that other men can give. It’s temporal, short-lived and dishonorable in view of what some men will do to get it.
Take what happens at times in the military, for example. One man is honored by rank. He is given honor because he has proven to be a leader of men. The longer and better he does his job, the more promotions to higher rank he receives. Finally, he is promoted to general. Rank has privilege. It has honor. This man has come to his high position honorably. Men stand in awe of this o cer, and they should.
However, some men who wear the marks of a high rank get them dishonorably by scheming, begging or doing favors to gain approval. The only reason they want rank is so they can walk in money and pride and throw their weight around. That is not honor; it is dishonor.
These schemers have the same rank, the same “honor,” the same privilege, as those who deserve them but they did not come by them honorably. They achieved man’s honor man’s way.
God’s honor takes seriously the
As a young man I understood this kind of honor. My father raised me that way. I grew up observing the kind of honor the psalmist wrote about, the honor of a man who “sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not” (Psalm 15:4). I understood and respected the kind of person who did the right thing regardless the cost who stood his ground no matter how tough the battle or how great the temptation.
When I was in my teens, my dad had an opportunity to choose to act in the honor that comes from God or not to. I’ve never forgotten the decisions he made.
A fellow hired my dad to work in an insurance business. Dad was very successful and soon made district manager. Then he went on to be supervisor of the entire state of Texas operations.
The man who hired him had been planning to start his own company. He had built up a very large amount of financial reserves while working with my dad for the big company.
Eventually, with the money and backing in place, the man announced that he was going to start his own company. He made my dad an o er to come work for him. He o ered my dad a lot of money and a big chunk of the new company.
By o ering my dad this job and enticing him to leave the company, he violated his contract. So the big company filed suit against him for all those reserves he had coming. My dad became a key witness in their case. Their case hinged on my dad’s answer to one question.
I remember watching as Dad took the stand. I wondered what he was going to do. There was a lot of money at stake for him. I remember how calm he looked.
“Did this man o er you a job with his new company doing the same thing that you are doing now?” the lawyer asked.
My dad did not hesitate for a second.
“Yes, he did.”
I was amazed, but I was so proud. He just threw away all that money. He just turned down position, prestige, power because he was honorable.
Later I asked him, “Dad, how did you keep from saying what that man wanted you to say?”
“It would have been a lie,” he answered. It was that simple. There had never been any question in his mind. His mind had been made up long before that situation had ever come into being. Why? Because he had already made a commitment a commitment to be honorable. He had chosen to walk in the honor that comes from God only.
But Dad’s honor didn’t stop there, either. No sir. Every time he saw that man from that day forward, he would walk up to him, shake his hand and ask how the new company was coming along. That man respected my dad for the rest of his life. That new company, by the way, became a very large and powerful life insurance company.
Choosing God’s Honor
The world today often looks at the Body of Christ with a raised brow. They’ve not seen honor. They’ve seen too much dishonor. But you can help change that. You can guard your manner of life, your conversation. You can be honorable. You can receive it from God.
The examples from the lives of my parents taught me a valuable lesson. I realized that honor is not hard to recognize. At times it may be hard to find, but it is easily recognized. In fact, honor stands out in the crowd because it appears foolish in the system of the world.
To be honorable requires an act of the will, an act which triggers and releases all that God has provided for us. It requires a choice between God’s WORD and the subtleties and deceptions of the world. It requires a choice
between the spirit and the flesh. It boils down to a choice between standing and falling.
If you are honorable, you will stand. If you are dishonorable, you are guaranteed to fall and bring even more dishonor to the Body of Christ.
I get so embarrassed at what people try to do as believers, walking in dishonor. We are never to use our positions as preachers of the gospel or children of God to defraud anyone.
One time when I was shopping at a convenience store, a preacher came in to purchase some shotgun shells. He began trying to talk the clerk into giving him a discount on his shells because he was a minister. It embarrassed me so. It made me so mad that he would do that to our God. It almost made me want to cuss so that clerk wouldn’t think I was a preacher, too. The clerk didn’t have any authority to give the man a discount, even if he had wanted to! The young man got really irritated at that preacher. I wonder if that preacher has any idea how

much damage his preoccupation with a petty discount might have caused in that young clerk’s life.
Your Word of Honor
“Brother Copeland,” you may say, “I see the value of honor and I want to walk in it. But where do I begin? How can I ‘find’ this honor that comes from God only?”
Start with God and His WORD. He can make you honorable. He has already honored you with His own life. He has honored you

The Sure Path to Promotion
“Servants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you as pleasers of men, but in simplicity of purpose [with all your heart] because of your reverence for the Lord and as a sincere expression of your devotion to Him.”
Colossians 3:22, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
make it a lifestyle to do what’s right, because it’s right. Anything less is disobedience to God’s Word.
We should follow Colossians 3:22-24. It’s God’s instruction for employees. Ken and I have seen some of the staff members in our ministry take that attitude and, as a result, be promoted again and again. One man started out with the job of duplicating tapes for us, but over the years he was so faithful that he eventually became the director over the business affairs of the entire ministry.
You may think, Well, that wouldn’t work in my case. My boss is an unfair man. He wouldn’t reward my faithfulness.
You may not realize it, but if you’re a born-again believer, you have a quality within you that is in great demand in the world today. It’s a quality employers prize so highly that they’ll promote people who have it—and often pay top dollar for it. It’s a quality so valuable it can make you a success in every area of your life.
What quality could possibly be so precious? The quality of faithfulness.
Employers are desperate for faithful people. The world is full of employees who will just do enough to keep from getting red. It’s full of people who may come to work—and may not. That’s how worldly people are!
But it’s a treasure for employers to nd a person who works wholeheartedly at his job, who is trustworthy and dependable and honest. So when an employer nds a person like that, he’s usually eager to promote him.
The fact is, every believer ought to be that kind of person. Each one of us should live a lifestyle of faithfulness. As Ken says, we should
That’s no problem. The Scripture doesn’t say your reward will come from your employer. It says your reward will come from the Lord!
You see, God has established a principle of sowing and reaping in the earth—and that principle is always at work (Galatians 6:7). If you plant faithfulness in your job, you will receive blessing in return— even if that blessing means a different but better job.
So make up your mind to put your whole heart into your work, no matter how menial or unpleasant it may seem to be. Do it well. Do it with a smile and an attitude of enthusiasm and say, “Lord, You know I am believing for another job. And I am sowing faithfulness into this job as seed for a better job.” I guarantee you, a better job will soon come along.
The Scripture doesn’t say your reward will come from your employer. It says your reward will come from the Lord!
with what the Bible calls eternal life, the very life of God Himself. He administers this life to our spirit man through the Holy Spirit. The desire to honor Him rises up through His life in us.
As you get into His WORD, and allow it to get on the inside of you, as you allow it to become you, honor will well up in you so full, you’ll have no desire to walk in anything else. Your spirit will experience conviction about the smallest of commitments. You’ll become so tuned to His WORD and His Spirit that you will become honorable in everything.
As you become honorable you will speak the truth. You will take your words seriously. You will never distort the truth or speak idle words. You will be able to make commitments and keep them. You will be able to be faithful. You will act with the utmost of integrity. You won’t want to say anything else, because Matthew 5:37 says all else proceeds from evil.
Next, seek honor from God only. Jesus did not play the honor game. “I receive not honour from men.... I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?” (John 5:41-44). The honor game gives each other “honor” or medals or titles in order to boost one’s own sense of self-worth. It is saying you’ll do something to please men, to please their ears. It makes vain commitments for fear of what men will think. It is a dishonor to God, however, to seek the honor of others rather than that which comes only from The LORD.
I made a decision a long time ago to walk in the honor that comes from God. I made a choice to stand on my word, and His WORD, and to walk in integrity. I made a choice to please Him and not men at any cost. I made a choice to stand and not fall...and I’m still standing. You can keep standing, too. Think about it. Pray about it. Then choose the honor that comes from God. When God honors you, what di erence does it make what anyone else thinks? Your word and your commitments will be as good as His He guarantees it. He’s given you His WORD.
The ABCs of
Abundance
RIGHT NOW MANY OF US ARE FACING NEEDS. BIG NEEDS. NEEDS SO GREAT THAT WITHOUT THE DIRECT INTERVENTION OF GOD, THEY CAN’T POSSIBLY BE MET. BECAUSE OF THAT, WE NEED TO BE MORE CERTAIN THAN EVER BEFORE THAT WE UNDERSTAND— AND ABIDE BY— GOD’S LAWS OF ABUNDANCE. THOSE LAWS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT— BUT, PRAISE GOD, THEY’RE NOT COMPLICATED. IN FACT, THEY’RE AS SIMPLE AS ABC.
A: Decide to Plant // In Mark 4, Jesus compared the workings of the kingdom of God to planting seeds in the earth. “When [the seed] is sown,” He said, “it grows up and becomes greater...” (verse 32, New King James Version).
Notice, He didn’t say that when the seed is sown it occasionally grows up and becomes greater. Or it grows up and becomes greater if it’s God’s will. He said, “It grows up and becomes greater.” Period.
God’s economy isn’t like ours. It isn’t up one day and down the other. It’s always the same and it always works perfectly. If you have good earth, good seed and good water, you will have growth. It’s inevitable. The laws of God will produce that increase every single time.
So, if you’re facing a need, don’t panic—plant a seed!
That seed may take the form of money, time or some other resource you have to give. But, no matter what form it takes, you need to understand that the gift itself isn’t really your seed. There’s no life in it. It’s just the husk.
There are people who’ve planted husks for years. But, because they didn’t put any life in them, nothing ever came up. So don’t just plunk a husk in the offering bucket when it goes by. Put life in it first. Praise and worship God over it. Say, “LORD, I’m offering You my goods to do Your work with, and as I bring You my goods, I bring myself. I give myself to You spirit, soul and body.”
Pray over that seed. Fill it with faith, worship and The WORD. Then it will be ready to plant.
B: Find Good Ground // Out in West Texas on my grandfather’s farm, there were big white

patches of caliche. It’s the most worthless dirt in the world when it comes to planting seed. It won’t grow anything. I don’t care how fine your seed is, if you plant it in caliche, you won’t get a crop.
There are some ministries that, spiritually, are just like caliche. They aren’t good ground for your seed. So before you give, pray about where that gift should go.
Don’t rely on your own judgments. Don’t reason it out and say, “Well, this preacher over here is screaming and crying and saying he’s going under, so I guess I’ll give to him.” You go to The LORD of the tithe and find out where He wants you to put your money. He’s the only One who can direct you to truly good ground every time.
C: Water! // Once your good seed is in good ground, keep watering it with The WORD of God. Speak faith over it all week long. Call forth the growth of that seed by calling “those things which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17). It may just be a little seed, but you need to start calling it grown.
You may say, “Well, Brother, I believe in telling things like they are.”
You won’t ever see any growth in your life then, because spiritual things grow as words are released. That’s God’s way.
Charles Capps said the one who “tells things like they are” is like the guy who went out on the porch to give his dog a bone. When he got out there, he found the dog wasn’t there—just the cat. So he started saying, “Here kitty, kitty, kitty.”
His neighbor said, “I thought you wanted to give that bone to the dog.”
“I did,” answered his friend, “but I like to say it like it is—and the cat, not the dog, is the one that’s here.”
Don’t be like that guy. Call the dog. He’ll come. Water your seed with words of faith. Don’t call poverty if you don’t want poverty. Call yourself prosperous. Call that need met. Before long, you’ll be so full of joy and so full of expectancy that even the watering will be fun!
Find good soil. Plant the seed. Water it. Then as Mark 4:27 says, all you have to do is “sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up....”
“But I don’t understand how that works!” you say.
It doesn’t matter. Just do it. Plant and water. Sleep and rise. Sure enough, one of these mornings you’ll wake up to an abundant harvest!

Just One Thread
Ted and Jan Currington and their two children, Christi and Chad, stepped inside the church sanctuary, not knowing their lives were about to be changed forever. When the evangelist took to the pulpit, he pointed to Ted and Jan and directed them to stand.
Then he said, “God has called you. You will pastor a church one day.”
Ted kept his face blank. He’d heard things like that before. His grandmother used to see him coming and say, “There’s the little preacher!”
He’d always blown o those words coming from his grandmother. But now, they were a little harder to dismiss coming from a preacher. One thing Ted knew for sure: If he ever was to become a pastor, God would have to do it.
Ted and Jan had already faced a lot of opposition. They’d married young, while still in their teens. “They’ll never make it,” the naysayers said. But Ted and Jan had never looked back, or questioned their decision.
There were two things that Ted liked to talk about…the Lord and horses. He raised horses,
showed horses at halter, and team roped. He loved spending time at the barn. Tending to the animals gave him a lot of quiet time to talk to the Lord and to hear from Him.
He often thought about the prophetic words spoken over him, and wondered how God could take him from a secular career into the ministry. How in the world could he ever pastor a church?
The Barn
“Right after Jan and I married, a group of us at church discovered KCM,” Ted recalls. “Jan and I became Partners early in our marriage. We got the BVOV magazine, and faithfully watched their program on TV.

“As years passed, in addition to horses, I worked for an oil company. One day in the late ’90s, Chad came to me and said, ‘Hey Dad, they’ve started a cowboy church at the barn where they sell cows. It’s on Monday evenings, and I’d like to go.”
Our 13-year-old son wanted more church? Ted thought.
“We didn’t have to discuss it,” Ted recalls. “We added Monday evenings to our Sunday and Wednesday church routine. After a few weeks, I realized that the evangelists had to clean the barn and set up the sound equipment every week. Since I got off work at 4 o’clock, Jan and I took over doing that. I had prayed that God would give me an opportunity to meet with Glenn Smith, the person who started and headed up Church at the Barn, one on one.
“We’d been attending for about six months when Jan dropped me off at the church one Monday evening to clean, because she had an errand to run. When I walked in, Glenn was there.”
A former rodeo clown, Glenn Smith had dedicated his life to bringing the gospel to the rodeo circuit. Because rodeos were generally held Thursday through Sunday, in most cases participants were unable to attend regular church services.
Glenn lived in Post, Texas, but spent considerable time traveling across the country preaching the gospel and establishing cowboy churches. Along with two other cowboys, Corey Ross and Trey Johnson, they had started the Lubbock Church at the Barn.
“It was a God connection and an answered prayer,” Ted now says of his first meeting with Glenn. “I found out that he and his wife, Ann, were close friends with Kenneth and Gloria. Ann had also been close friends with Kenneth’s mother. They were very strong in faith.”
Glenn soon became a good friend and mentor to Ted.
“They introduced us to the Southwest Believers’ Convention and KCM’s Ministers’ Conference. We attended those meetings faithfully, and even bought recordings of the conference messages. To this day, I listen to them over and over in my pickup truck. They have taught us how to live in the fullness of the Covenant. Every time we go to a meeting, we feel like we’ve just been fed by a fire hose.”
come home from work and ask, “What’s wrong?”
How could he tell her when he didn’t have any idea himself?
One afternoon Ted sat at the kitchen island reading his Bible. He was excited about the horse he’d just bought, yet something wasn’t right.
Ted jumped up and said, “Lord, You’re going to have to show me what’s going on. It’s driving me up the wall! Just show me!”
Opening his Bible, words from 1 Corinthians 1:26 (NKJV) seemed to leap off the page: “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.”
Ted sighed. He’d never felt worthy of the call. It seemed God was telling him that wasn’t the criteria.
Looking up toward heaven, he spoke one word: “Yes.”
Five days later, Glenn Smith called.
“Ted, we’ve had a thousand salvations this year, but where are they? We’ve got to start discipling people,” Glenn said. “I want you and Jan to be the Bible teachers at Church at the Barn.”
Ted and Jan soon realized the sale barn was not large enough to accommodate their growing Bible study group. One of the cowboys who had gotten saved at the sale barn, and his wife, offered their feed store as a meeting place on Tuesday evenings. They had nearly 100 people meeting there.”
One evening Glenn came by and said, “You are building your church!”
“Not my church!” Ted insisted. “We are a part of this with you!
“Glenn was confirming what had been prophesied to me all those years ago.”
Soon after, Glenn and Corey began talking to Ted and Jan about getting ordained and calling them the pastors of the church.
As Ted was just driving up to the barn one night, he received yet another call from Glenn.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“I’m just pulling into the parking lot of the sale barn,” Ted answered.
“Good, you’re up.”
“You’re up!” That’s how it started.
By October 2000, Ted and Jan were ordained. On Jan. 1, 2003, the church was officially turned over to them. It was renamed West Texas Church at the Barn, known today as West Texas Church.
The Call
Ted should have been happy. He had a wonderful marriage and great kids. He enjoyed his job and both the churches they attended. But something seemed…off. Often, Jan would
The Warning
In 2004, Ted was walking across the arena when he heard the Lord say, Go get a physical. That was odd, Ted thought. He was only 48 years old and had always been in good health. Still, he
knew the voice of the Lord. Turning around, he went inside and found Jan cooking supper.
“The Lord told me to go get a physical.”
They made the appointment and were shocked to learn that his EKG looked bad. Ted was admitted for an angiogram.
“You have a blockage in your heart,” the doctor told Ted, “but it’s in a spot where we can’t fix it. We’re not going to do anything at this point. We’ll treat you with medication and lifestyle changes.”
“I’d always said that God would do His part, but we still have to be smart enough to do our part,” Ted said. “We took our faith stand on God’s Word. We also changed our eating and exercise habits to do our part in the natural. The following year, in 2005, we bought land and built a church. We borrowed the money and paid it o in one year. Only God can do that!
“The church grew so fast that we ran out of seats. So, in 2008, we tripled the size of the church. Once again, within a year and a

“The church grew so fast that we ran out of seats. So, in 2008, we tripled the size of the church. Once again, within a year and a half, God paid it o .”
Things moved along well both at church and at home.
In 2012, Ted was walking on the treadmill when he heard the Lord speak again:
I want you to have a triple bypass.
Wait. No way will I do that, Ted thought. I’ll come home and be with You.
I want you to have a triple bypass. Everything will be good.
Ted agreed, but didn’t tell Jan what he had heard.
One night a few weeks later, Ted couldn’t sleep all night.
“The next morning, I told Jan I thought I needed to go to the hospital. My brother went to a certain cardiologist, so I asked Jan to call his o ce.
The Vision
“While Jan was making phone calls, I prepared myself for the reality of heart
surgery. Miraculously, the cardiologist said he would meet us in the ER. Before we left, I told Jan to pack some clothes because we wouldn’t be coming home. Chad and Christi were there with us. When they told me that I had to have open heart surgery, I said, ‘I know,’ because God had prepared me for what was coming.”
Ted had the surgery and was released from the hospital three days later.
At home, he developed pneumonia. His parents, Chad and Christi, and grandkids all gathered around the bed to take Communion. Suddenly, Ted left his body.
“I watched everything from above the scene,” Ted remembers. “Everyone was standing around my bed except for Chad. He was sitting on the bed beside me. I saw a bright light come in from the right. It covered the whole bed.
“From the other direction, I saw demons. They were holding long spears that were flat on the end. They jumped up and down, sticking the spears under the edge of light. They were trying to flip it off me.
“I heard the Lord say, As long as you have the prayer, the Light cannot be taken away.”
No Fear
“Ted recovered supernaturally fast after that,” Jan remembers. “But over the next five years, we went through trial after trial: angiograms, heart attacks and him just not feeling well. Night after night I would wake up to make sure he was breathing. One night, the Lord said, Read Psalm 91.
“At church, Ted had us reading Psalm 91 for 91 days. We read it in every version so that we got it embedded in our hearts. I was on day 46. I picked up my phone and read it from the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition. In verse 5 it said, ‘You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night.’ And verse 6 said, ‘nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.’
“Sudden death. Those words leapt off the page, and I knew God was saying, Stop it. You don’t have to worry about him dying suddenly in his sleep. With those words, the fear left, and I had peace.”
In 2014, Ted was told he needed another operation. This time, because of complications, they said he had to be put on a waiting list for a heart transplant.
“I don’t have peace about this,” Ted told the doctor. “I don’t think that’s for me. We’ll just trust the Lord.”
“Do you understand that you need another heart? We can’t do surgery on yours again.”
“That sounds good to me,” Ted replied.
In total agreement and peace, Ted and Jan, along with the entire family, took their stand of faith. When symptoms hit, they quoted God’s Word. They understood that Ted wasn’t sick and trying to get well. He had been healed 2,000 years before. They were believing for the manifestation.
God Intervenes
Several years later, Ted received a call from his cardiologist.
“I’m retiring,” he said. “Before I do, it’s urgent that I get you in to see a cardiologist friend of mine in California. He may be able to repair your heart without surgery.”
A cardiac interventionalist had developed a procedure called a “Hybrid TECAB.” Using a catheter and a robot, it allowed him to perform a coronary ablation rather than a bypass. He only performed the procedure on 3% of his patients—those for whom surgery was not an option. The length of the procedure and possible complications were similar to those of bypass surgery.
It took three months to work out all the details. Finally, in November of 2018, Ted and Jan flew to California.
Prior to the procedure, an angiogram showed a single artery feeding the back side of Ted’s heart. It looked like a thin, red thread because of the blockage. The cardiologist inserted a tiny wire into the artery. A tiny balloon followed the wire.
With intricate delicacy, he moved the wire and balloon millimeter by millimeter. Using 28 pounds of pressure, he opened the artery a little at a time and put stents in place. After three hours and 20 minutes, the artery pulsed with blood. Instead of a thread, it looked like a fat earthworm.
Later, the doctor told Ted, “I literally don’t know how you made it here. Your life was hanging by a thread.”
Today, Ted Currington is happy, healthy and living his best life. He and Jan continue to lead the church, where Christi and her husband, Matt, are over children’s church and Chad and his wife, Ann, are over the teens and youth. Three of their grandchildren are on the praise team and the others serve in other aspects in the church. The youth are in revival; they are seeing salvations and baptisms weekly, and God’s miraculous hand moving on people’s lives.
“When I told Christi and Ann what the doctor said,” Jan says, “everyone agreed as to what the ‘thread’ was that the doctor had spoken about.
“It was a thread from the hem of Jesus’ garment!
“Whatever you’re facing, just grab the hem of the Master’s garment. Just one thread will do!”

Since November is traditionally a month to express thankfulness, let me start off that way. I am full of thankfulness for all the Superkids—who are full of Jesus and are great examples of His love! I am thankful for how Jesus includes us in His big plans!
Ephesians is all about His plans and strategies to create His image and purpose in us. Thank you, Superkid, for joining me on this amazing journey through Paul’s great letter to the Church. Are you ready to jump in again?
OK, let’s go!
Even though Paul was in prison when he wrote Ephesians, he continued to do what God had called him to. Paul is sharing God’s plan to make us all into one team of Jesus- lled people—called by God to be the uni ed Body of Christ. Ephesians 4:1-6 New International Version, makes it clear. It says, “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
When Paul says to “live a life worthy,” he isn’t talking about you being “good enough” or “perfect” in your behavior, or even smart or godly enough to please God. The root meaning of the word worthy is to “become.”
The worthy life Paul describes as being humble, gentle, patient, walking in love with others—staying in peace with dif cult people or situations—was NEVER about how good you are but how connected you are with His Spirit! Because of this, we are BECOMING just like Him.
As the Body of Christ, every day we are more united in HIS peace. The word united means “made into or caused to act as a single entity, being or nature.” That means when we have Jesus’ peace, humility and gentleness, we can act and do and become all that He is. Our part is simply to let Him lead. He has called us to ONE team!
The Greatest Team!
The overall theme of Ephesians begins with being uni ed rst with Jesus. That makes us one with each other too. If we are to grade ourselves for being worthy we must remember this: We are as strong, worthy and able as the Body we are part of, especially with Jesus as the Head!
Picture this: You are on a special team! Imagine being chosen by the head coach of the greatest football team ever. You are a winner, not by yourself, but as a team with the Head Coach, Jesus, who gives direction, abilities and purpose to each team member. See how all these things work together?
You are special, Superkid. Jesus put wonderful strengths and talents in you. He designed you for a special purpose and to work with those around you. This is why He tells us to stay in peace and kindness with others by staying in unity with Him. How could it be possible for Him to ll us all with His Spirit? By dying on the Cross, suffering with sin and sickness in hell for three days, He paid for us to be free from sin. When He rose from the dead, He ascended (went up) to the Father and received the gifts to distribute to His Body. Look at verses 10-13:
"And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might ll the entire universe with himself. Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full
and complete standard of Christ" (New Living Translation).
Imagine if we, the Body of Christ, were a sports team. Players are chosen for different positions on the team. They are not all the same. Players are chosen and trained because they have something special to offer. Just like that, God has picked you for His special team!
The gifts He has given to the Church are important for the training of the team. The Body of Christ needs the apostle, the prophet, the evangelist, pastor and teacher to be ready to accomplish what the Head Coach wants! God uses these gifts to train the TEAM (us!) to do His work. The team is called to build up others and to do the works of Jesus. It’s easy to think our pastors and ministers are the ones called to do miracles, but we are ALL on the miracle team! Can we heal without Jesus? Of course not! We are not expected to do ANYTHING without Him, or without each other.
Superkid, we are part of the greatest team in the universe— the representation of the Lord Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords. We help each other and make each other stronger. As you walk with Jesus, staying in relationship with those around you, the fullness of Jesus will ow into your life. This journey with Jesus is more than a game to win. Our journey with Jesus will WIN THE WORLD!
GO FIGHT, Superkid. And WIN!

‘Let Them Finish, Please!'
I love the Believer’s Voice of Victory magazine. The articles are so encouraging and enable me to grow in my faith. The April issue arrived and the rst thing I read was the Editor’s Letter, titled “Let Them Finish, Please!”
What Managing Editor Ronald Jordan shared in his article resonated with me deeply. I was reminded of the saying, “If the shoe ts, wear it!” You see, I realized how often I interrupt others midsentence, and this rude habit needs to stop immediately. Like Mr. Jordan, I need to humble myself and apologize to God, and any others I may have inadvertently offended. Lesson learned.

TESTIMONIES OFREAL-LIFE
All Praise Belongs to God
I have been a Partner for 10 years and I’ve learned many things from Brother Kenneth. He encourages us to read the Bible through and I did exactly that.
For 27 years my son was in and out of hospital. I called KCM, and they prayed with me for my son’s healing. I would like to thank Jesus
Christ because my son got healed! I would also like to thank Brother Kenneth and Sister Gloria for all your prayers.
All the praise and honour go to the Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus.

A Mother’s Prayer
I called for prayer for my daughter, who was ill in the hospital. After praying and interceding for her, she got better and better. She is now being discharged to a rehabilitation facility. Praise the Lord, thank You for KCM!
PRAYER
If you do not know Jesus as your Savior and Lord, simply pray the following prayer in faith, and Jesus will be your Lord!
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” and “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9). You said my salvation would be the result of Your Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me (John 3:5-6, 15-16; Romans 8:9-11) and that if I would ask, You would fill me with Your Spirit and give me the ability to speak with other tongues (Luke 11:13; Acts 2:4).
I take You at Your Word. I confess that Jesus is Lord. And I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. Thank You for coming into my heart, for giving me Your Holy Spirit as You have promised, and for being Lord over my life. Amen.

Crises.
We all face them at one time or another. In fact, you may be facing one today. Maybe the bank is about to foreclose on your house... or divorce papers have been served...maybe your health is failing... or your children are in trouble. You’ve done everything humanly possible to correct the situation. But human effort isn’t enough.
You need divine help.
WINNERS NEVER QUIT
The pressure mounts, and you struggle constantly to keep from being overwhelmed by it. The scriptures that once rang triumphantly in your ears begin to grow faint. Suddenly the world, the flesh and the devil all seem to be putting the squeeze on you at once.
What can you do?
The natural thing to do is to just give up— to quit. But don’t do that. Your victory may be just around the corner!
The toughest time to keep the faith is during a crisis when it looks like faith just isn’t working. When the devil is throwing his best punch is when you’re most tempted to
throw in the towel. Don’t do it! Instead, get a firm grip on God’s Word, dig in your heels and hang on!
Satan knows that the Word is your key to victory. So he’ll do everything he can to pressure you into forsaking it. He’ll make your circumstances appear to be more and more hopeless. He’ll whisper constant lies of discouragement. He’ll work hard to convince you that the promises of God have finally failed you. He knows that if you stick with the Word, you will know the truth and the truth will make you free (John 8:31-32).
God’s Word is your link to victory. Whatever you need from the Lord, whether it be healing, prosperity, salvation for your
family, or victory over the flesh and the devil, God has provided it for you through His great and precious promises. There will be times of crisis when it looks as though the Word won’t be enough to pull you through, but God’s Word will never fail you. It will pull you through even the worst situation—if you stand steadfastly in your faith.
So, instead of letting circumstances drive you away from God’s Word, “put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. Stand therefore [hold your ground]” (Ephesians 6:13-14, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition). Don’t let the devil back you down. Hold your ground.
Victory comes to every person who stubbornly believes the Word of God—no matter what happens! When the devil tries to scare you into running from the Word, steadfastly resist him. The Bible says if you resist the devil, he will have to flee from you (James 4:7).
So hang on to the Word, and before long Satan will be the one running!
Faith and Patience
Sometimes it takes time for our prayers to be answered. That’s why it takes more than faith to move the mountains in our lives. It takes patience as well. Hebrews 6:12 says we inherit the promises through faith and patience. Patience is the spiritual force that undergirds our faith so we remain steadfast while God is working out our circumstances. supernatural force that makes us strong enough to persevere until the answer comes. Contrary to religious tradition, patience is not a passive attitude that lies down and takes whatever comes. Patience is a mighty spiritual force that enables us to hold our ground in the midst of the crisis. Patience and faith working together are the power twins that produce miracles. Hebrews 10:35-36 admonishes, “Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised” (AMPC). Faith and patience will enable you to perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away and enjoy to the fullest measure the miracle God has promised you!
When the pressure is on and you are tempted to give in, you might think you don’t have enough faith to do the job. But greater faith is not what you need; you just need to put the force of patience to work.

How do you set the force of patience in motion? The best way is to decide from the onset that no matter what happens, you are determined to win. Make a quality decision as soon as you pray in line with the Word that nothing—absolutely nothing— will be able to pry you loose from that Word. If you don’t do that, you’ll end up letting go of the Word when the pressure comes.
you to be well?” “Are you sure God wants to deliver you?” “Are you sure God cares enough to save your loved ones?”
Refuse To Waver
If you don’t recognize this tactic, you’ll begin to wonder whether it really is God’s will. And if you don’t believe it is God’s will, then you’ll let go of your faith and give in to Satan and to circumstances. But you don’t have to wonder what God’s will is— His Word is His will. If you have prayed according to the Word, you have prayed directly in line with God’s will. Don’t wonder about it anymore.
Wondering is wavering. James 1:6-7 says the one who wavers shouldn’t expect to receive anything from the Lord. The Word is your connection to receiving a miracle. The devil is setting a trap for you; don’t fall into it. Hang on to the Word. When the pressure comes, refuse to waver.

Next, be ready to recognize the tactics of the devil. Satan has no power to defeat you except to discredit the Word of God. He still uses the same bag of tricks he used to tempt Eve in the Garden of Eden. He led her to doubt God’s Word. He asked, “Hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (Genesis 3:1). In other words, “Are you sure that’s what He said?” He does the same thing to you. He tries to discredit the promise of God by asking you, “Are you sure God wants
The promise you need to cling to in the heat of battle is Colossians 2:15: “[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]” (AMPC). Through His death on the cross, Jesus disarmed the devil and all of his cohorts. He left them powerless. The Bible says the devil goes about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but he has been disarmed. He is a toothless lion whose roar is loud, but all blu . Jesus called him a liar and the father of lies. So, to defeat you, he has to depend on discrediting God’s Word.
Satan is a master of deception. He can make your situation look dark and hopeless. He wants to make you think there is no way out. But if you are a born-again believer, 1 Corinthians 10:13 promises there is always a way out: “There hath no temptation [this word also refers to a test or trial] taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not su er you to be tempted

[tested or tried] above that ye are able; but will with the temptation [test or trial] also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
Trust God
Religious tradition has taught that this verse says, “God will let you su er in your trial until you reach your breaking point.
POINTS TO GET YOU THERE:
1
If you stick with the Word, you will know the truth and the truth will make you free. (John 8:31-32)
2 Satan has no power to defeat you except to discredit the Word of God. He still uses the same bag of tricks he used to tempt Eve in the Garden. (Gen. 3:1)
3 Hang on to the Word. When the pressure comes, refuse to waver. (Jas. 1:6-7)
Then when He is sure you can take no more, He will provide you an answer you can tolerate.” But the truth is God has not left us to the mercy of the adversary. The devil has no mercy. He’ll “fight dirty” just to win. But Satan can only fight with weapons that are common to man, or with natural weapons. God, however, gives you weapons that “are not carnal [or natural], but mighty through [Him] to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Arms limitation is not God’s foreign policy. For every weapon the devil uses to destroy you, God produces a greater one with which to counterattack. For every stronghold of deception, there will always be greater spiritual armor placed at your disposal. Satan is limited. You are not! God will provide whatever you need to win. When Satan makes things look so bad you are tempted to slip into fear and despondency, remember that faith and patience working together will bring you victory. When fear pierces your mind like a fiery dart, cast it down in the Name of Jesus. Remember: Satan has been disarmed and he is just trying to intimidate you into giving up. When despondency covers you like a shroud, resist it in the Name of Jesus.
Put this powerful pair to work in your life: faith—to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, and patience—to keep you steadfast when Satan challenges God’s Word. Together they’ll empower you to endure Satan’s pressure without surrendering to it. They’ll give you the stamina to stick in there until the battle’s won!

Taking Back, Moving Forward
Update: Repossessing What Rightfully Belongs to Us!
On Feb. 14, 2021, we experienced a winter storm like Texas had never seen. Snow, sleet and freezing rain fell while every square inch of Texas was under a winter storm warning. What unfolded turned out to be a historic winter event. As a result, the property at Kenneth Copeland Ministries experienced extensive damage.
Since that time, we’ve been taking back and moving forward repossessing what rightfully belongs to us here at the World Headquarters building of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. We’re currently working on Phase 2 of this exciting and extensive project, and we want to share with you what’s been done so far!
Restored Seven Times
But if he (the thief) is found out, he must restore seven times [what he stole]; he must give the whole substance of his house [if necessary–-to meet his fine] —Proverbs 6:31 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).
Recently, CEO Pastor George Pearsons was praying over this
project. The Lord told him: This is a faith project, and you need to activate your faith to get it done! He then said, The devil kicked you out of that building. It is time to TAKE BACK WHAT THE DEVIL STOLE FROM YOU! (Read more about this on our blog at kcm.org/forward.)
There are seven phases in the Taking Back, Moving Forward project; as we see in Proverbs 6:31, the enemy must return to us sevenfold! Phase 1 included building a grand entrance of the World Headquarters building along with a new parking lot. Phase 2 includes the north side of the second floor of the World Headquarters building; this section of the building endured significant damage during the 2021 winter storm.
A Part To Play / As Partners and Friends of this ministry, you play a vital role in getting the uncompromised Word of God out: from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way around the middle! Every prayer and seed sown into this project propels us forward and enables our sta to be better equipped to administer the gospel across the globe.
Thank you, Partner, for your faithful giving to help us complete Phases 1 and 2 of this project. As the Bible says in Galatians 6:7 (New King James Version), “Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” We are standing with you for a hundredfold return!
What exciting plans does the Lord have for you and your future?
Take a step forward today by asking Him what you can do to sow toward that plan. Now is the time for taking back and moving forward. Let’s do this together!
