Dear Partners and Friends,

Christmas is the season of giving. Our heavenly Father set the precedent when He gave Jesus to the world. His message was and still is, “Love gives!”

As we gather together this year to celebrate the love of God made manifest in His Son, Jesus, we will celebrate the love of family…our immediate family and our extended family. You—our Partners and Friends—are our family.

Love gives. We will all have gifts to exchange this year. The children and grandchildren will be beside themselves with excitement. Their joy is in receiving all they asked for and more. But we know the greatest blessing will be for us parents and grandparents. The joy of giving so far exceeds the excitement of receiving. That’s a lesson that comes with time and maturity. We all learn it.

And with that lesson, we understand a little something about how much God enjoyed giving the world Jesus…blessing His creation. From that day in the manger to that day at Calvary, right up to this day as we prepare for His soon return—God has planned it all with love and joy!

We trust this special issue of Believer’s Voice of Victory, filled with stories and articles from our family, will bless you and your loved ones. Our prayer is that it will expand your love and faith during this joyous season.

We love you and continually thank the Lord for you. You are a great gift to us from His heart of love.

Merry Christmas!

lory to God! The war is over! m Those aren’t the words that usually come to mind when we think about Christmas. They should, however, because that was the message that marked the dawning of the first Christmas morning. That was the message that caused the hosts of heaven to explode in joyous celebration and sent bewildered shepherds scurrying to a Bethlehem stable. m Granted, you’ve probably never seen those exact words printed on a Christmas card or sung in a carol. But the message is there nonetheless—contained in the familiar phrase from Luke 2:14: Peace on earth, good will toward men.

esus If you do not know

as your

Savior Lord, &

simply pray the following prayer in faith, and Jesus will be your Lord! Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” and “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9). You said my salvation would be the result of Your Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me (John 3:5-6, 15-16; Romans 8:9-11) and that if I would ask, You would fill me with Your Spirit and give me the ability to speak with other tongues (Luke 11:13; Acts 2:4). I take You at Your Word. I confess that Jesus is Lord. And I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. Thank You for coming into my heart, for giving me Your Holy Spirit as You have promised, and for being Lord over my life. Amen. If you have just prayed this prayer, please contact us and let us know of your decision. We have a free Salvation Package we would like to send you to help you begin your new life in Jesus! Satan didn’t realize it, but he’d

killed

Jesus illegally. Jesus had not committed any sin.

He had not earned the death penalty like other men. Contrary to popular belief, that phrase isn’t just a divine peace slogan meant to convince people to stop fighting and start getting along with each other. It’s not merely promoting good will among men. The angels that first heralded those words were talking about something far more significant than that. They were announcing good will toward men. They were declaring an end to the conflict between heaven and earth, a conflict that had been raging for 4,000 years. They were saying, “The spiritual war is over! God has sent His Peace Offering into the earth. He has extended His good will toward men!”

Spiritual Prisoners of War

It was an astounding announcement—an announcement the world has almost completely misunderstood. Even those of us who are believers haven’t yet fully grasped the impact of it. When we do, we won’t be content to sit quietly with folded hands and listen to the choir sing, “Hark, the herald angels sing….” We’ll want to do what the heavenly hosts did that day. They got so excited they could hardly let the first angel of the Lord finish delivering His message. All he had time to say to the shepherds was this: “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger” (Luke 2:10-12, New King James Version). Three sentences. That’s all the angel had said when suddenly the rest of the heavenly host burst into jubilant praises to God. They shouted down that angelic preacher! When I try to imagine what that supernatural celebration must have been like, I’m reminded of the celebrations that erupted across the United States in 1945 when the announcement came that World War II was over. We’ve seen the pictures. I was only 8 years old, and I still remember it. People were running and shouting, blowing horns and going wild. Strangers hugged and kissed each other on the streets. Everywhere one joyous phrase resounded: The war is over! The war is over! The war is over! That’s what the angels were proclaiming when they rejoiced over the birth of Jesus. But most people today don’t realize that. They don’t even know there ever was a war between heaven and earth. And many of those who do know it are under the impression the battle is still on and God is still angry with them. Like prisoners of war, they remain locked behind bars of unrighteousness and bound by shackles of sin because they haven’t yet heard the good news that victory has been won. The devil has been desperately trying to stop that good news from getting out for 2,000 years. He doesn’t want word of his defeat to spread, because when it does his reign of terror will be over. Believers everywhere will rise up and put him where he belongs—under their feet. But try as he may to delay it, that day is coming. The devil has known

Our that ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. He’s known it ever since God spoke the words recorded in Genesis 3:15— words about a coming Messiah who would conquer him and win the war that he had started. He’s known it ever since he heard God say, “There’s coming One who is going to put His heel on your neck. He is going to squash you like a bug. He’s going to free mankind from your oppression and press you under His foot until you can’t function anymore.” (That’s the Copeland translation.) The devil spent 4,000 years with those words hanging over his head. From the moment they were first spoken in Eden, he lived in fear of their fulfillment. Every time a prophet of God came on the scene, the devil thought, Could that be the One who is going to whip me? I’d better kill him now, just in case. In his efforts to stop God’s words from coming to pass, he persecuted and killed one Old Testament prophet after the other…but still, they kept coming. Still they kept prophesying about the coming Messiah—the Savior—the One anointed with enough of the power of God to totally annihilate the yoke the devil had put on the neck of the human race. In the meantime, the effects of sin continued to multiply on the earth. All mankind was increasingly engulfed in the filthy flood of darkness and death that Satan’s temptation and deception had released. There was no place to go to escape it. There wasn’t one spot on this earth left uncursed, no place to go where you wouldn’t get sick and die. The whole spiritual atmosphere had been infected with the deadly disease of unrighteousness. For through one man (Adam) “sin had entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12, New King James Version). For millennium after millennium, death reigned over all mankind. Then, on that first starlit Christmas night, everything changed. The angelic announcement that rocked heaven and sent shock waves through hell was finally made: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

The Devil’s Biggest Mistake

Immediately, the devil sprang into action, trying to kill, deceive or divert Jesus f rom His redemptive purpose. He used every trick he knew to stop this serpent-crushing Messiah. But nothing worked. This Prophet, it seemed, couldn’t be killed. He couldn’t be deceived or diverted from the will of God. For 33 years, the devil kept at it with no success until, mysteriously, he somehow finally got Jesus where he wanted Him: first on the cross—crucified, dead and off the earth once and for all—then in hell where He would be out of Satan’s way forever. But, as all of us who have read the Book know, that’s not how the story ended. This plot had a divine twist. This time, the deceiver had been deceived. Satan didn’t realize it, but he’d killed Jesus illegally. Jesus had not committed any sin. He had not earned the death penalty like other men. Instead, He had taken the sin of mankind upon Himself as an act of

obedience to God. He had become the Sacrificial Lamb and paid the price so all who believed on Him could go free. He who knew no sin was made to be sin for us so “that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). By the time the devil recognized his mistake, it was too late. Suddenly, the power of Almighty God came thundering in to the regions of the damned, raised Jesus up and made Him the conquering Lord of all. The devil, who had lorded over mankind through the ages, was stripped of his authority. He and his demonic cohorts were permanently defeated when Jesus “having spoiled principalities and powers…made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15).

The Door Is Open The angelic announcement that rocked heaven and sent shock waves through hell was finally made: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”

The humiliation the devil suffered when Jesus was raised and glorified was bad enough. But it wasn’t until the Day of Pentecost that the full magnitude of what had happened was revealed. On that day, as the early disciples waited in prayer in an upper room, a heavenly sound echoed through Middle Eastern air much as it had 33 years before. This time, however, instead of angelic voices praising and magnifying God, there was a sound like a rushing, mighty wind. A roar like the sound of 747s taking off, rocked Jerusalem as the Holy Spirit, and all the hosts of heaven assigned to serve the untold millions of believers who would inherit salvation, invaded earth’s atmosphere (Hebrews 1:14). All of heaven poured itself into earth that day. God filled the atmospheric envelope of this planet with Himself. God’s own righteousness—through the redemptive work of Jesus and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit— conquered the flood of sin that had swept through the earth and ravaged the lives of every man, woman and child. As Romans 5 says: “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord” (verses 18, 21). Truly, the war was over! The wonder of it defies description. Although every comparison falls short, recently as I thought about how Jesus saved us, I remembered the images I had seen on television during the cleanup in New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina. I thought about the people I saw wading around chest deep in the floodwaters. Those waters were like the putrid tides of sin that filled the spiritual atmosphere of this earth after Adam sinned. They were a horrible mess of danger and destruction, a kind of death soup, and we were all spiritually drowning in it. But Jesus came and opened the door of escape. Actually, He didn’t just open the door, He became the door. He said: “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” ( John 10:9-10). Just imagine if you’d been trapped in those deadly, rising waters during Katrina, and suddenly you saw a doorway right in front of you with steps leading up to it and a welcome mat out in front. All you had to do was step through that door and you’d be out of those horrid waters

and in a warm home with hot showers and a big table full of food. Jesus is that door! He’s standing there opening the way for whosoever will believe on Him to step out of the muck of sin and death, into the abundant life and resources of God Himself. He’s standing there with a smile on His face, loving everybody, saying to anyone who will listen, “I am the Door to Life. I am the Light. Get out of the darkness. All you have to do is come to Me!”

One Word From God Can Change Your Life Forever!

Come as You Are

Some people are reluctant to respond to His invitation. “I’m not worthy!” they say. “I can’t come to heaven’s table like this. I need to get myself cleaned up first.” The problem is, they can’t get themselves cleaned up while they’re wading around in that mess. It’s impossible. Their only hope is to quit trying, and just accept Jesus’ invitation. He’s the One who cleans us up. He washes us with His blood and with the water of His Word. He replaces our stinky, old garments of sin with the robe of His own righteousness. “But Brother Copeland,” you might say, “you don’t know what I’ve done. I just don’t deserve that kind of mercy!” None of us deserves it. God just gives it to us as His gift. All we have to do to receive it is believe on Him and receive Him as the Savior and Lord of our lives. If you’ve never done that, you can do it now if you want to. Just say: “Oh God in heaven, I believe with all my heart that Your Son, Jesus, came to earth and died for my sin. I believe with all my heart He has been raised from the dead. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive You now. I repent of my sin. I renounce the devil and everything he stands for. From now on, Jesus, You are my future. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I receive Him now, in Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.” Don’t spend another week, another day or another hour wading around in the murky waters of sin. If you’ve been hooked on drugs, you don’t have to do those drugs anymore. If you’ve been depending on alcohol to get you through, you don’t have to take that next drink. You don’t have to smoke that next cigarette. Jesus will pull you out of that mess and make you free. He isn’t mad at you for the bad things you have done. He isn’t looking for ways to punish you. He has already paid the price for your sin. Now He just wants to deliver you and bless you. He just wants to give you a life that overflows with joy and peace. The war is over. The Savior has come. Glory to God in the highest! Peace on earth, good will toward men! V ictor y

Christmastime is such a wonderful time of year.

What a blessing it is to celebrate our Lord and Savior’s birth with friends and family! That should be our main focus, but for many of us it’s not. We get caught up in the activities of the season—

decorating the home, buying and wrapping gifts, cooking and cleaning before the relatives arrive.

This time of year can be especially busy for women. But if you’re a Proverbs 31 woman, you can handle all these things, and handle them with grace. From hectic holidays to much more serious situations, God has equipped you with all you’ll ever need to face each challenge. Proverbs 31:10, The Amplif ied Bible, tells us that we are intelligent, virtuous and capable. That’s good news to me, and it should be to you, too! The Lord has a grace and anointing available to us for our everyday (and holiday!) life. Let that sink in. We are capable. The dictionary definition of capable is “able, skilled, competent and ready.” As a Proverbs 31 woman, you are able, skilled, competent and ready! Don’t allow yourself to say, “I just can’t do that,” or “I’d never be able to handle that.” Change your words, and you change your life. Start saying, “I am capable, not in my own ability, but because the Greater One lives in me.” Because in reality, you don’t know what you can do until you’re called on to do it and you draw upon the anointing of the Lord. God has not called you to do anything that He did not equip you to do. He has graced us with gifts to accomplish that calling (Ephesians 4:7, The Amplified Bible). We can do all things through Christ (the Anointed One and His

Anointing) which strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). The anointing changes everything. Bottom line? Nothing can floor you if you’re a Proverbs 31 woman, and nothing is impossible to a Word woman. Mary Was a Proverbs 31 Woman

Mary, the mother of Jesus, is a good example of that truth. She was definitely a Proverbs 31 woman. She had to be to walk through the things she did. Think about it. She loved her Son. Jesus was a good Son, and very precious to her. She had to watch Him suffer and die. How did she manage to get through that time? When the angel of the Lord appeared to her in Luke 1:26-38 (The Amplified Bible), he proclaimed her highly favored and endued with grace (the supernatural ability to do what flesh cannot do). Grace? For what? For the call on her life to be Jesus’ mother, which Gabriel went on to lay out before her. Her response was, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word” (Luke 1:38). As I was reading that one day, I pictured Mary trying to find Jesus when He was at the synagogue, later hearing the words of anger shouted about Him by the spiritual leaders and finally, Mary at the cross watching Him die. For all of that and more, God gave her the power and the

YourOneVote Can Change America

When it comes to elections, we’ve all heard or perhaps even made statements like, “I’m only one person, what can my one vote do?” Or, “My vote won’t make a difference. As Christians, we’re already in the minority.” The fact is, such

statements are not true.

by David Barton

The results of one Gallup Poll showed that 84 percent of people surveyed firmly believe in Jesus Christ, while a separate poll indicated 94 percent believe in God. Other polls have had similar findings, leading to the conclusion that although we have been led to believe Christians are the minority, we are not! Imagine a vote in the U.S. Senate where the final tally was 94 to 6. It would be untenable for the six to be declared the winner and have their policy enacted over the votes of the 94. Yet this is exactly what happened when public acknowledgment of God was prohibited. Unfortunately, this travesty continues on a regular basis. Why? Because we, as Christians, have relinquished our right to be a democratic-republic and become a nation ruled by a small council of “elite” individuals. President James Garfield once said: “Now, more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress…. If the next centennial does not find us a great nation…it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.”

collective total of 57,000 votes—less than 12,000 votes per state. In those five states, over 5 million Christians did not vote! If only one of every 100 nonvoting Christians (1 percent) had voted for the candidate supporting godly principles, all five would have been elected, thus creating a 10-vote swing in the Senate. Though disheartening, this report is actually encouraging in that it reveals that godly candidates are most often defeated not by activists and radicals, but by inactive Christians! When we, as Christians, begin to believe we can make a difference, and act like the majority we are, we will make a difference. The ability to change the current situation is in our hands. It is time to believe and behave differently. We are not a minority, but the majority! It is time to declare at the ballot box that we will no longer allow officials who embrace the values of the 6 percent to abrogate the rights of the 94 percent. We must remove officials who do not comply with traditional, historical and biblical principles and replace them with those who do. Our vote does count, and we can make a difference!

Power in a Single Vote Proof that it is up to us came in the 1986 Senate races, when five candidates in separate states who stood for returning godly principles to public affairs were defeated by a

Can We Talk? Crisis Help for the

Seasonally Challenged It’s half past November and I already feel so behind. Let’s see, there’s decorating the house and the yard, parties to give and attend, Christmas specials on TV, at the school and at church. And, of course, there’s the whole wardrobe thing. In Texas, where I live, you can be sure there will be a

month’s worth of festive colors, T-shirts with silly slogans, and even though it could be over 80 degrees, there will be a fair amount of fuzzy sweaters with snowmen for buttons. So, all those must come out of storage. Then there are the presents, which of course can only happen after the list is made and—as the saying

goes—checked twice. Moms and dads, kids and grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, teachers, neighbors and of course the angel-tree families. So it’s off to the mall! But on the way I remember that I’m supposed to “make a memory” of the season. Somehow I’ve gotten it in my head that I have to make everything a memory—and for everyone. It starts to feel like everyone’s Christmas depends on me! Does something like this happen to you about this time of year? Do you ever just want to yell out, “Martha Stewart doesn’t live here!”? Only there’s really no one to yell it to, because no one puts us in that position but ourselves! Pressure certainly doesn’t come from the Lord! He’s the One who sets us free! Really, our families generally only come to expect what we train them to. And even though they may appreciate our efforts at the time, only a fraction of our busyness actually becomes memories. | Recently, I surveyed my family regarding their favorite things about Christmas. After they took way too much time to come up with answers, I found out there were only a few things that made the rank of “most memorable.” My husband, George, said, “I liked having gatherings over several days with the different grandparents.” “Gee, Mom,” Jeremy finally concluded, “I liked it that you were the last to open presents ’cause you were busy watching everyone else. Oh, and the smell of cookies.” Surely my daughter will have noticed the December c lothing line, the end- less decorations, the colorcoordinated wrapping, or at least the bell-shaped sandwiches. “Well,” Aubrey said, clearly feeling the pressure, “there were so many! But my favorite was waking up on Christmas morning.” “Yes?” Here’s Proof

“And Christmas music would already be playing really loud!” Quickly I realized I could have baked cookies, gone to Grandma’s and opened my presents to the speedy beat of “White Christmas” and saved myself a load of trouble! Now, that may be an exaggeration, but there’s still a major revelation to be had here! There’s got to be a way to enjoy the season while glorifying the Lord. There’s got to be a way to make those memories without becoming exhausted, spirit, soul and body! There is a way and His Name is Jesus—the Perfect Way. Even though my children are grown, I still carry on as if they were small. Plus our extended family is always on the grow. So my Christmas agenda has not lessened much over these last few years, but I have learned some things that have helped me discover Christmas—the Jesus Way. It’s really quite simple. Let’s look at how the Lord

What if Jesus had not been born? Unimaginable! Unthinkable! Unbelievable! In this thought-provoking series, When Love Comes to Town, George Pearsons explores what life was like before Jesus, and reveals how radically different the world would be if He had not come. When Jesus was born, His coming transformed everything. The world was in darkness, but Love brought light. Jesus brought with Him a new life and a new kind of love. It was an agape love that springs from the heart of Father God. When Love came to town, He turned society right-side up, touching every area of man’s existence—from the value of human life, to government and science, and so much more. John 1:14 in the New Living Translation explains: “So the Word became human [flesh] and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.” That’s what was born into the earth—an unfailing love that never gives up. It confers value on others. It sacrifices itself, not looking for anything in return. What actually happens in your life when Love comes to town? Love on purpose, because it’s God’s way.

Love because it’s who you are and what you do.

it’s possible Elisabeth may have been dealing with it. Luke 1:24 indicates she went into hiding after she became pregnant. She was older and perhaps embarrassed. Or maybe she was ashamed that her husband had made an angel so mad by his arguing, that he was struck dumb! Whatever the case, the situation changed after Mary entered their house with a heart and mouth full of praise. Just her presence lifted Elisabeth so high she fell right in step with the mother of our Lord. I suggest you read about their Holy Ghost praise and prophesying session in Luke 1. Be grateful for what you have, spiritually and naturally. Ask the Lord to help you be even more grateful. Never feel sorry for yourself because of your circumstances. Mary and Joseph traveled quite a distance through rough terrain at what would seem the worst possible time. But it had to be done. They didn’t complain, and the Lord provided everything. Imagine a birth attended by the glory of God. The hard circumstances were swallowed up in the goodness and glory of the Lord. Yours will be too if you will be grateful for all the goodness He has toward you. Then speak that praise out loud to others and watch how God lifts everyone. Follow His Leading | Fourthly, be led. Joseph was led through dreams and by angels. The wise men were led by a star. Now the Word does not promise you’ll be led by dreams or angels, but that’s because you have a much more dependable leader than dreams—the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “He will guide you…and he will show you things to come.” (That could mean tomorrow’s to-do list!) He will help you. First John 2:20 says you have an unction, a knowing, a sensor on the inside of you. Learn to develop sensitivity to your sensor by: knowing God in His Word, praying in the spirit, then following through. When you start to do, to buy or to go, check inside. Is there peace? Or is there a little ‘catch’? I’m not talking about in your head or your reasoning, but in your inner man. If there isn’t a sense of a “green light” then don’t do, go or buy. You’ll never develop that sensitivity or reap the benefit of it unless you are willing to walk away from a good idea or a great buy. I love this one: Keep your eyes on heaven. The wise men kept their eyes on the star and rejoiced when they saw it (Matthew 2:9-10). Evidently it wasn’t visible all the time. But they were always looking—looking to heaven. We should be too. Only we aren’t looking at an empty sky. We are looking into the realm of the spirit. We are watching for the supernatural. We’re always ready to pray for someone—anywhere, anytime—and expect a miracle. We are always looking for the supernatural handiwork of God in our lives. “Don’t miss the supernatural,” Brother Kenneth E. Hagin used to say, “by looking for the spectacular.” God’s direction, provision and presence are all supernatural but quite often can seem so natural. It should be. The Greater One really is in us. Lastly, but not at all least, is love. For God so loved, He gave. Love always gives. But not all giving is love. Some gifts are given out of guilt or obligation, which brings resentment. Some are given to manipulate another person’s feelings, even to make them feel guilty. And some gifts are given to make the giver feel better about himself and have little to do with loving the recipient. Check yourself. Judge your motives and be sure love—God’s love—is behind every gift, every service and especially every word. You can be sure a store-bought-something never makes up for unkindness. Love on purpose, because it’s God’s way. Love because it’s who you are and what you do. Truly, of all things, love is the greatest. I know these clues from the first Christmas will be a help to you as they have been to me. I have yet to perfect them in my life, but I can truthfully say I look forward to Christmas, instead of looking for it to be over. This year you may want to yell out, “Martha Stewart may not live here, but Jesus sure does!” V ictor y

Please don’t let

MyBaby Die by Melanie Hemry

The Montana sky shimmered like blue crystal

over the mountains on the horizon, but Danielle Kelley didn’t notice the view as she rushed into the hospital and down the corridor to the intensive care unit. Her heart in her throat, she stepped into the partitioned area where her grown daughter Naydia lay in a coma. Danielle tried to keep her heart from shattering as she took in the scene.

This time she wasn’t an unsaved young mother begging for God to save her baby. She was a child of the King,

and she knew her spiritual authority.

A respirator moaned as it forced air into Naydia’s lungs. A hole had been drilled into her skull to monitor cranial pressure and swelling in her brain. Ice sheets kept her body temperature low; her skin felt as cold as death. The only sign of life was the heart pattern that drifted across the screen on a nearby monitor. Danielle turned into her son-in-law’s arms and took a trembling breath. Had she breathed since she caught the first flight out of Tulsa, Okla.? She wondered. She hardly remembered the trip. Her world had suddenly tilted off its axis when Carson, Naydia’s husband, called to tell her about the accident. A windstorm had sent their children’s trampoline tumbling through Naydia and Carson’s back yard, heading for their neighbor’s house. The couple had run outside to retrieve it. While Naydia and Carson sat on the trampoline to keep it from blowing away, they looked for something to hold it in place. “I’ll get those tires to hold it down!” he shouted, stepping off the trampoline. When he turned back, the trampoline—and his wife—had been lifted up and blown away. Running through the pouring rain, Carson found Naydia moments later—laying crumpled in a nearby field where the wind-borne trampoline had dumped her—headfirst. She had suffered a fractured skull and a brain hemorrhage. The reports from the doctors were grim. If Naydia survived the accident, there were no guarantees she would ever come out of the coma. Tests showed no sign of brain activity—no sign of the life that Naydia had once fought so hard to keep.

A Mother’s Love

“Naydia was admitted to ICU on July 19, 2004,” Danielle remembers. “But this wasn’t the first time I had sat beside my daughter’s hospital bed as she fought for her life. When Naydia was 14 months old, she was diagnosed with a very rare blood disease called toxoplasmosis.” “She won’t live to celebrate her third birthday,” the doctor had grimly announced. What followed was a nightmare of hospitals, oxygen tents, needles and long sleepless nights. Danielle’s already troubled marriage fell apart and she and her husband separated. Danielle moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., to be near Naydia’s blood specialist. She got a job on Wall Street, but with each passing day, as Naydia’s health failed, Danielle became more and more depressed. “Nov. 26, 1976, Naydia was released from the hospital for a few days,” Danielle remembers. “Too sick to eat, she was tiny and weak. We’d only been home for a couple

hours when her symptoms started to worsen. I couldn’t bear the thought of life without Naydia. I was at the end of myself. There was nothing I could do to protect my child from this awful disease.” As Danielle watched her struggle, getting sicker and weaker, she remembered times as a child when she had heard angels sing. “I remembered when I was a teenager, a woman named Millie told me that Jesus loved me. I hadn’t been raised in a Christian home, but if there was a God to help my daughter, I wanted to find Him.” Danielle fell to her knees on the cold, hard floor. “Jesus, I don’t even know how to pray, but if You really do love me, please don’t let my baby die.”

For God So Loved the World

Danielle knew instantly that something inside had changed. Then Naydia’s symptoms lessened, and she snuggled against her mother’s side and dozed off. Wa t c h i n g h e r d a u g hter sleeping so peacefully, Danielle thought: I just want to feel like this in the morning. Sun streamed through the barred windows of their onebedroom flat the next morning. On a street that boasted only one tree, Danielle woke to the cheery chatter of birds singing. Opening her eyes, she saw Naydia sitting on her knees beside her. “Hey, Baby,” she said. “Hot dog, Mommy.” She’s hungry! Danielle ran to the ref rigerator. Naydia ate and asked for more. Naydia Coate The doctors were stunned when Naydia’s next blood test came back normal. S h e ’d b e e n h e a l e d — Father, You raised miraculously! Lazarus after four days

A Journey of Faith

The glory of that miracle set Danielle on a quest to know God. After moving to

in a stinking grave! You put brain activity back in his brain— You can put it in my daughter’s!

Syracuse with daughters Naydia and Niki, Danielle joined Abundant Life Christian Center, where they were introduced to Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Danielle saturated herself in the Word by reading many KCM books and watching the daily Believer’s Voice of Victory broadcast. She studied Kenneth Copeland’s blazing blue eyes as he taught on Mark 11:23-24, and meditated daily on the Copelands’ devotional book, From Faith to Faith. “Kenneth Copeland seeded faith into my life,” Danielle says. “My faith came from his foundation. My hunger for the Word of God grew so much that when my daughters graduated from high school, I moved to Tulsa and enrolled at Rhema Bible Training Center. A year later, Naydia and Niki enrolled at Rhema as well. While there, I met and married a classmate, John Kelley. Naydia met and later married another Rhema student, Carson Coate. Clearly, God’s plan for our lives was being unveiled. Life couldn’t have been better.” Until now. Danielle had never seen Naydia so still. The ventilator forcing life-giving air into Naydia’s lungs made a groaning,

authority. She stood and made her declaration with a boldness that shook hell. “Father, You raised Lazarus after four days in a stinking grave! You put brain activity back in his brain— You can put it in my daughter’s! I believe she is fully restored—nothing missing, nothing broken!” To protect her heart and her faith stand, Danielle stopped attending the medical conferences with the doctor. Instead, she fasted and prayed. A few days later, she walked down a hospital corridor and saw Naydia’s neurosurgeon. “Where have you been?” he asked. “I can’t hear any more negative reports,” Danielle explained. “I believe my daughter is healed and restored: nothing missing, nothing broken.” She steeled herself for his response. “Then, I’ll believe with you…by faith,” the doctor said. We have an ally! In the chapel, Danielle praised and worshiped God.

The Eyes of Faith

By the end of the week, Danielle was overwhelmed

“I believe my daughter is healed and restored: nothing missing, nothing broken.” She steeled herself for his response.

“ Then, I ’ll believe with you…by faith,”

mournful sound. Danielle gathered the pieces of her soul and held them together by faith. One thing was perfectly clear: If she and Carson stepped out of faith— they’d lose her.

Child of the King

“Carson and I believed God that Naydia would experience complete restoration: nothing missing, nothing broken,” Danielle recalls. “We prayed over her, and I anointed her with oil each day. Carson put pictures on the wall, and we hung scriptural promises and made our declarations of faith. I read the Word of God to her daily and played tapes. I talked to her, calling her by name, assuring her that I was with her. Danielle also strengthened herself through reading and re-reading Matthew 8 and 9, going over all the different ways Jesus healed, and standing on the story of Lazarus in John 11. Exhausted from her vigil, Danielle closed her Bible and laid it in her lap. The enemy tormented her with the doctor’s words: No brain activity. Brain dead. A holy anger rose up in her. This time she wasn’t an unsaved young mother begging for God to save her baby. She was a child of the King, and she knew her spiritual

with exhaustion. In her hotel room that night, she slid off the bed and onto her knees and worshiped. She told God: “Father, I need to see her open her eyes.” Then Danielle went to sleep. The next morning, Danielle walked into the ICU with a new spring in her step. “Naydia’s going to open her eyes today!” she announced cheerfully to the nurse on duty. “Really? How do you know?” the nurse asked, a puzzled look on her face. “By faith.” Danielle leaned close to Naydia’s face and did what she’d done dozens of times before. “Naydia, it’s Mom. Open your eyes, Baby. Open your eyes for Momma!” Naydia’s dark lashes fluttered, and her beautiful, green eyes looked up at Danielle. Unable to speak because of a tracheostomy, she mouthed one dis- tinct word. “Mom.” Tears streamed down Naydia’s face as Danielle held her hand and encouraged, “You’re going to be fine.” The nurse ran to call the neurosurgeon. “Naydia!” he said. “Can you open your eyes for me?” Nothing. “Mom, you try it,” he said.

Once again, Danielle said, “Naydia, it’s Momma, Baby. Open your eyes.” Again, Naydia’s green eyes blinked open.

Nothing Missing, Nothing Broken

Naydia drifted back into semiconsciousness. Clearly, she had brain activity, contrary to the lie of the enemy. A new brain activity test came back normal, but Carson and Danielle knew their faith stand wasn’t over. As Naydia woke permanently from the coma, she spoke like a child. Infantile in some areas, she had to relearn motor skills. In addition to Danielle, Carson, Niki and all their family, Kenneth Copeland Ministries and other prayer teams were upholding them by faith. Just 20 days after the accident, Naydia was discharged from the ICU and sent to a rehab unit for four weeks. As God completed the restoration, Naydia quickly recovered. Soon, she was back caring for her husband and children. Today, Naydia Starr Coate is perfectly healed and restored. Since the accident, the Lord blessed her and Carson with their fourth child. Naydia’s green eyes sparkle with life, love and gratefulness to God. “The story doesn’t end there,” Danielle adds with a laugh. “The devil not only couldn’t take Naydia’s life, but her IQ is now 10 points higher than it was when she was in high school!” Twice Danielle Kelley has stood between heaven and earth and claimed a miracle for her daughter; once as a frightened, unsaved young mother, and once as a mature daughter of the King. Young or old, new believer or veteran Christian, God has a miracle for you. V ictor y

is another priority of ours for the new year.

Each and every day by your support in prayer and finances, you are helping them preach the word of faith to millions of people—whether through our Believers’ Conventions or Victory Campaigns, reaching a potential audience of more than 633 million people through the daily Believer’s Voice of Victory broadcast, or going into more than 560,000 homes each month with the BVOV magazine.

Faster service

Monthly, more than 60,000 people are logging on to our Web site at www.kcm.org to read reports of God’s blessing and deliverance. And thousands more are being ministered to daily through the outreach of our international offices in Australia, Europe, Canada, South Africa and Ukraine. And the year 2007 promises even greater opportunities for KCM to minister to you. Part of the more that’s on its way involves the establishment of a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week prayer line from our headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. Someone will always be here to take your call. Already, we have prayer ministers on hand to answer your calls seven days a week for 17 hours on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Central Time), and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. By early 2007, as part of our new infrastructure system, we expect our prayer lines to be operating nonstop, for around-the-clock availability. Faster service is another priority of ours for the new year. When you place an order with KCM, we know you want to put it to use immediately in your life or in the life of someone you care about. We want to get it to you quickly—shipping it within 24 hours, if possible—and we are putting action to our faith to reach that goal next year. For years we’ve been praying for a means to reach out to and effectively minister to the more than 37.4 million Hispanic people in the United States. God opened that door for us earlier this year when Believer’s Voice of Victory began airing on Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Spanish-language satellite network, Enlace. The network reaches over 50 million homes and more than 200 million viewers across the United States, Mexico, Central and South America, and Spain. We continue to receive reports of great revival taking place in the countries where Spanish is the primary language. And it remains a priority with us here at KCM to see that these believers become grounded in the Word of God and learn to lead victorious lives. That’s not all the exciting news. In May, the BVOV broadcast began airing on Discovery Channel—opening the way for the message of hope and victory to become available to more than 90 million homes each day. New doors of ministry opportunity continue to open. The acquisition of a new Cessna Citation X jet—the world’s fastest midsized corporate jet—made it possible for us to go more places faster this year to share God’s Word. In 2007, we will continue exploring ways to reach even further and minister to even more people as God expands our vision. I often describe this ministry the same way I describe its founders and my parents, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. It is a ministry built on the Word of God and faith— one that represents steadfastness, commitment and integrity. You won’t find any two people more sold out to God and His call on their lives than my parents. And you won’t find a ministry more determined to fulfill its commission to preach the gospel to the nations than Kenneth Copeland Ministries. We are grateful that God has called you alongside us to help fulfill the call on KCM. This is an exciting time for us as we look back at what God has done over this year, and as we prepare to walk through an open door to untold blessings in a brand new year. And we want you, Partners, to walk with us—every expectant step of the way. We’re fulfilling the call of God on this ministry. But we could never do any of this without you! V ictor y

Reasons You

WillNotGainWeight It can sometimes be a challenge to balance the demands of the holiday season and stay

focused on the things that really matter. Things like celebrating the birth of Jesus, recognizing His love and presence in our lives, and having memorable times with family and friends. So, I want to help you find a way to do those things, as well as maintain your health and fitness goals, and have some fun while you’re at it!

When temptation abounds, it takes determination to steer clear of calorie-rich goodies and not trade exercise time for other things—like shopping and parties. But, you can have a terrific time this season without piling on the pounds, or the extra weight and guilt that come with it. These few tips have helped me over the years, and I trust they will do the same for you.

It’s All About People

I’ve learned that reminding myself of what’s really important, helps me stay focused on my health and fitness goals, even when attending Thanksgiving dinners or Christmas parties. My purpose for attending these events is interaction with people—not with food. If you decide before you go to an event that your reason

for attending is to celebrate Jesus and love on people rather than eat ’til you pop—it’ll make all the difference! One way to do this is to pray and ask the Lord to give you opportunities to encourage others. Expect the Holy Spirit to draw you to the people who may be struggling in their lives, so you can speak words of life to them. Proverbs 25:11 says, “A word fitly spoken and in due season is like apples of gold in settings of silver” (The Amplif ied Bible). There is nothing more satisfying than being able to bless someone. What a great gift to give during Christmas! It’s true that “in giving you receive.” Helping others is much more fulfilling than a slice of three-layer chocolate cake loaded with calories that could possibly make you feel regretful moments later. Holiday gatherings are such a perfect time to nurture

relationships. Take the time to really listen to people and interact with them; reconnect with old friends, make new friends and help them feel valued and loved. As you focus on people, you won’t even notice you are not eating all that much. You’ll be having too much fun to be concerned about food! And, at the end of the day, you will feel guilt free and experience the joy that comes from having self-control, and the ultimate joy that comes from loving others.

Indulgence Boundaries

I realize that part of the fun of celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas is having those once-ayear family favorite foods. Rather than deny yourself completely, set boundaries. Decide what indulgences you do not want to go without. Then, have a plan in place to compensate for those extra calories. For instance, plan an extra workout day before a big meal. If possible, take a walk in the park after the Christmas meal is over, and invite others to join you. Usually, I determine that Christmas Eve is my “treat” time because it is a big celebration for our family. To offset the extra calories I know I’ll consume, I exercise a little harder and eat a little lighter the day before. On Christmas Day, I do enjoy some treats. I savor a piece of my mom’s homemade fudge! I’ve loved it since I was a kid, so I look forward to it—the memory of her making it, as well as the fudge itself. But what do I say when she asks me if I want to take some home? “No, no and no!” The day after Christmas, I’m committed to a long workout to compensate for the extra calories and give my metabolism the boost it needs.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

We’ve already touched on the subject of “deciding before you go.” This is such an important step and a very real deterrent to gaining weight during the holidays. So, before attending any social event, ask yourself this question: Which is more important, eating the tempting, fattening foods or maintaining my weight? Once you have made your decision, write down your goals. State when you plan to exercise, how much you plan to eat and how you will follow through with that plan. Writing it down indicates a sincere intention of reaching your goals, and it will help you stick to the plan! Also, enlist the Lord’s help! “Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass” (Psalm 37:5, The Amplif ied Bible). God can and will help you reach your goals! Now, on the practical side of things, here are a few ways

to avoid common pitfalls to gaining weight when it comes to holiday eating: 1. If you have decided not to eat at the party, then eat a healthy meal before you arrive. If you feel you will offend your host by not eating, then eat a small, high-fiber meal beforehand that will fill you up, and leave a little room to munch on raw veggies. Or, if you are attending a sit-down dinner, put extremely small portions on your plate and eat only larger portions of vegetables. 2. If you have a sweet tooth, take only a few bites of a low carb/low fat protein bar before the party to help curb your appetite for sweets. 3. Lunchtime parties at work can be a challenge. I recommend taking a healthy sandwich to eat prior to the party. You’ll be full enough to steer clear of calorie-rich foods, and choose a dinner salad instead. 4. If asked to bring a dish, offer to bring drinks, plates or napkins. Then you won’t be tempted to eat some of the goodies you might bring.

Slack Now—Pay Later

During the holidays it’s important not to slack off on workouts! Find creative ways to get the exercise you need. For instance: Squeeze in shorter workouts with greater intensity levels. Take the stairs, park in the back lot and walk farther to your destination. Burn calories by walking faster while shopping, carrying your own packages and taking stairs rather than escalators. And, never go to the mall hungry! Take a snack and a bottle of water with you.

Enjoy the Day!

Now, I want to take this opportunity to wish you a very blessed and happy Christmas! I hope you are able to fully enjoy the holidays with your family and friends. And, I pray you experience the peace and joy of our Lord during this special time of year. And…savor each day! V ictory

If you decide before you go to an event that your reason for attending is to celebrate Jesus and love on people rather than eat ’til you pop—it’ll make all the difference! Holiday gatherings are such a perfect time to nurture relationships. Take the time to really listen to people and interact with them.

Real People, Real Needs, Real Victories

Condemnation Wiped Away I was raped at the age of 20 and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at age 25. Even though I have grown as a Christian, I have really grown since becoming a Partner with KCM in November 2005. I am seeing big changes in my life. I just received the BVOV magazine today and was delivered from guilt, shame and condemnation from the rape. I am now 53 and have never felt worthy, but praise God, after reading the article “Change Your Image, Change Your Life” by Bill Winston, and receiving the Word of Isaiah 43:25, I am free from all condemnation and believe I can do all things that God asks of me. All I have to do is receive the Word and believe Jesus is Lord.

A New Life in Christ

I’m 30 years old and just recently accepted Jesus in my life. I’m writing you, hoping maybe my testimony will help someone else get away f rom Satan. I’ve committed every sin and broke all the commandments. I was a God-hater. I never thought or imagined my life being anything but that, but boy was I wrong. I asked Jesus with every bit of my heart to help me, to show me what I was missing, and believe me I’m getting what I asked for. I’m still just a baby in Christ, but I’m learning more every day. I’m reading your book now called Dear Partner. I love it. It helps me a lot. I still have problems with doubt and feeling that I’m not worthy, but I’m taking it a day at a time. Jesus cured my alcoholism, drug addiction and my anger and hate. Thank You, Lord. The Bible you sent me in prison is being well-used now!

Four years ago we had requested prayer because we were struggling with infertility and miscarriage. I heard the Copelands preach on 2004 being the year of blessing and abundance. I claimed that promise for us and our family. In February 2004, we were blessed with a healthy baby gir l. Then, I heard the Copelands speak on 2005 being the year of overflow. Once again, we claimed that for our family. I’m pleased to report that on Dec. 31, 2005, we were once again blessed with a healthy baby girl. Keep up the good work in encouraging us to go for what God has for us. J.S.

Healed While Watching BVOV

On March 31, 2006, I was healed of pneumonia while watching the Believer’s Voice of Victory broadcast. It was a really anointed program and I am still healed today. Praise God for His Word and your ministry, which I have been a part of for more than 30 glorious years. A.H. | Alabama

Gazette Angels Steer Car, Girls, to Safety

I have been a Partner and blessed so tremendously by every aspect of the ministry for several years now. I woke up early on Resurrection Sunday of this year. I read my From Faith to Faith devotional, confessed Psalm 91, prayed in the spirit and was impressed to read the prayer of protection in Kellie’s book, Protecting Your Family in Dangerous Times. I am the single mother of two beautiful girls, ages 10 and 9. They both know and love the Lord. We were getting ready to leave the house to attend morning worship services at our home church. My girls and I went outside to the car, they got in the back seat and I pulled the car from the rear to the front of the driveway. The front of the car was facing the street. I jumped out of the car and went inside the house to get my purse and lock the door. As I was coming out of the house, I heard my youngest daughter call my name. I looked in the front of the driveway and didn’t see the car. Then I heard my daughter call to me from across the street. My oldest daughter told me that when I got out of the car I had not taken it out of drive and the car rolled across the street and into the neighbor’s driveIt works every time way. She saw that the car was we use it in faith. headed toward my neighbor’s garage, and had the presence of mind to put the car in park. No cars were hit, no property was damaged and my girls were unharmed. I know the angels of the Lord were encamped around about them to keep them safe and protected. I’m so thankful for the living Word that works every time we use it in faith. I am so grateful for the teachings of Brother Kenneth, Glor ia, Kel lie and everyone who ministers on the daily broadcast. I can hardly wait for the monthly magazine to come. Jesus is Lord!

Walking by Faith, Not Sight!

My wife was given the diagnosis of “ i n f a n t i l e u t e r u s . ” Fo u r d o c t o r s p r o v e d that diagnosis and said we could not have children and it was useless to take treatment. But we believed God, repented of our sins and started going to church. We have been watching the Believer’s Voice of Victory broadcasts since 2001. In one of your broadcasts you said that the truth is in Jesus Christ, and not in what we see and hear. My wife and I started establishing God’s promises in our lives, and two years later our son was born! Y.M.

Seeingthe Unseen It just sounds too good to be true.

That’s what many people think when they hear me make a statement such as, “ You don’t have to wait to get to heaven to prosper and have your needs met.” | But the fact is, you don’t have to wait until you get to heaven to prosper and enjoy life. You can enjoy a world of good here and now! God has already done everything it takes for you to live the highest kind of life right here on earth. He created man to live in His limitless provision and care. Had Adam not sinned in the Garden, he never would have had to toil, struggle or sweat.

by Gloria Copeland

We can talk the problem and keep the problem, or we can talk the answer (the Word of God) and have the answer. It’s our choice.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• And, thank God, the story doesn’t end with Adam! Everything Adam and Eve lost in the Fall, Jesus got back in redemption. He came so we could enjoy life…and not just a little. He came so we could have life in abundance—to the full, till it overflows ( John 10:10). Jesus has done His part. Now it’s up to us to do our part and receive all the good He has in store for us. And, faith is the key to receiving. It takes faith to bring things from the unseen realm of the spirit into the seen realm—the here and now. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Whether we need a physical healing, a loved one’s salvation, more finances, a sound mind or anything else, we receive it one way—by faith. Now, if you’ve been listening to us very long, you already know faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). If you don’t know what God has promised in His Word, you don’t have any basis for faith. In order to bring the unseen (what you are believing for) into the seen realm, you must receive what God says in His Word, believe it and apply it to yourself personally. “That’s mine!” you say. “I receive it.”

The Spirit of Faith Creates

The Scripture tells us God created the universe in the same way, by using words of faith and power. “Through faith we understand that the worlds were f ramed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:3). God said what He desired, and believed it, before He saw it manifest. When He wants something done, God doesn’t just think about it. He doesn’t complain about it either. He says it, by faith believing that what He says will come to pass. Notice at Creation God didn’t say anything about how dark it was. No. “God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3-4). God believes and He speaks. He says and then He sees. God Himself calls things “which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17). When He speaks, His words are alive and energized and effective. Hebrews 4:12 tells us there is power in His words to cause whatever He says to come to pass. You and I create a victorious life here on earth the same way God created and framed the worlds. That’s right. In fact, we have the same spirit of faith He does. It is imparted to us when we are born again. And, to bring His promises from the unseen realm into the seen realm, we must not only believe, but we also must speak His Word—just as He does (2 Corinthians 4:13). First, faith must be stored up in our hearts by consistently taking in the Word through our eyes and ears. Then, as we meditate on those promises and they become more and more real to us, the spirit of faith within us becomes bold enough to speak that Word in power! When that happens, the words “By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed!” create healing. I want you to know that no matter what your situation is, or how serious it looks, that situation can change—if you’ll hear what God says about it, and put His promise in your heart and in your mouth until all doubt is crowded out.

Just being born again doesn’t guarantee you a victorious life. Faith is the key to receiving. It takes faith to bring things from the unseen realm of the spirit into the seen realm—the here and now.

I want you to know that no matter what your situation is, or how serious it looks,

that situation can change—if you’ll hear what God says about it, and put His promise in your heart and in your mouth until all doubt is crowded out.

Be Transformed, Inside and Out

Believe! Say! And see it by faith! That’s what it takes to live a life of victory on earth. Just being born again doesn’t guarantee you a victorious life. You are instantly transformed on the inside when you receive Jesus as your Savior, and you will go to heaven eventually. But for your outer life to be transformed, your mind has to be renewed and retrained with the Word of God. Romans 12:2 commands, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” What renews your mind—your soul—is finding out what God says about something and coming into agreement with it. Don’t agree with the world that insists, “You could never have that.” Don’t say, “That’s too good to be true!” If you refuse to receive the Word of God, you are hardening your heart just like the children of Israel did when they refused to believe God when He told them to take the Promised Land. And Hebrews 3:15 warns us, “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” Unbelief kept the Israelites out of a land that seemed just too good to be true (verse 19). It can keep us out of our promised land too. So, retrain your soul: your mind–how to think; your will–what to choose; and your emotions. Make them come into line to agree with the Word of God. And make your words agree with the Word: “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so…” (Psalm 107:2). Saying so is faith.

Faith in Two Places

The victory and f reedom you walk in depend on how much of the Word goes in your eyes and ears on a continual basis. And you have to mix faith with that Word. Hebrews 4:2 says of the Israelites that “the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith” (The Amplif ied Bible). And remember, it kept them out! You can listen to tapes day and night, but until you mix faith with that Word—until you get it in your heart

and believe it, and put it in your mouth, it won’t profit you. According to Romans 10:8, “The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” Faith has to be in two places—in your heart and in your mouth. If you’re speaking negative words of doubt and unbelief, you have a heart problem. “For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34, The Amplif ied Bible). Your future is literally stored up in your heart. Make sure it’s full of the Word. Faith comes by hearing the Word, and faith goes by saying the Word. You release your faith in words that come from your heart. What you say is what you are calling into your life.

Holy Spirit Power

Now, apart from being born again and renewing your mind to the Word, nothing can change your life more than being filled with the Holy Spirit. On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit swept into this atmosphere in a new way. Instead of hovering over the face of the deep and waiting for God to speak as He did at the time of Creation, He came to indwell God’s children. Why? So when believers would speak the Word of God, the power in that Word would cause itself to come to pass. That’s not His only function though. The Holy Spirit also teaches us, guides us and gives us revelation of all the good God has in store for us: Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit…. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth… (1 Corinthians 2:9-10, 12-13). We can be empowered by the infilling of the Holy Spirit. He will reveal the unseen things God has for us and

teach us to talk faith. That’s important because our words give either God or the devil authority to move in our lives.

We Decide

sometime in the future. Faith is now (Hebrews 11:1).

The Eye of Faith Sees the Unseen

If you need something from God, you have to stand in faith on the Word of God. Hold on to the promise. Believe We cannot be talkers of problems, unless we want to it until it manifests. be like the world and join them in their problems. Instead be moved by what you believe. the answer (the Word of God) and have the answer. It’s our What you believe will take over the seen realm. choice. The unseen will swallow up the seen. In the Name of Jesus we can take authority over adverse Years ago Kenneth E. Hagin taught us that the “eye of situations in our lives and see them change. We’ve been faith” is what looks at the unseen realm. The eye of faith empowered by the Holy Spirit and the words of God is the eye of believing the Word of God. In the time between Himself to do just that. You can let the indwelling Holy when you believe you receive a promise from the Word, Spirit teach you how to speak into the atmosphere words and the time it manifests in your life, keep that will change things. looking at what the Word says, not at the circumstances. “Walk by faith, not by sight” Become Like Little Children (2 Corinthians 5:7).
