Now in its sixth year, the Plaza 10K has become Kansas City's signature 10K event and the largest 10K in Kansas and Missouri. The race benefits KidsTLC, a local organization whose mission is to provide opportunities that transforms kids and families in crisis while ensuring a safe environment. Join us for the race! NEW RACE: KC PUMPKIN RUN The KC Pumpkin Run is a new 5K event from KC Running Company on Sunday, October 2 at Johnson Farms at 177th and Holmes in Belton, MO!

The event includes a 5K run/walk through the farm, a kids run for kids 8 and under, lots of fun activities for the whole family, and everyone gets a pumpkin! What a great way to kick off the fall season!

Johnson Farms is opening their Pumpkin Patch up to all race participants for free, including their 20 acre corn maze, their straw maze for little kids, the Big Kid Fort Barn, giant Tunnel Crawl and other activities, and all participants will receive a cup of apple cider after the race! You must sign up to participate and you must be ready to have a morning of fun! The race benefits Ozanam which was founded in 1948 and represents more than 65 years of providing the best quality services to at-risk youth, young adults and families. Through the years, Ozanam has grown from a single-service agency into a multi-service treatment center. On its main campus, Ozanam offers residential and day treatment programs for older adolescents. In the community, Ozanam provides transitional living services for young adults, professional mentoring for children in foster care, and consultation services for teachers and administrators in schools throughout the Midwest. September races Natalie’s ART Run 5K - September 3 at 8:00 am Southcreek Office Park, Overland Park, KS We are hosting the 3rd annual Natalie’s A.R.T. 5K Fun Run to honor Natalie Fleischaker. The goal of this event is to raise funds toward making a difference in the childhood cancer community. The race begins and ends at South Creek Office Park and features a pancake breakfast when you finish! To learn about the event visit the website here. Labor Day 5K - September 5 at 7:30 am Leawood City Park, Leawood, KS Whether you're a veteran runner, a beginner, a wheelchair athlete or even a walker, this event is for you! The race begins at 7:30am. Immediately following the race, join us at the Lion's Shelter for post-race awards and an "all-you-can-eat" pancake breakfast provided by the Leawood Lion's Club. Run to DeFeet Hunger - September 10 at 8:00 am St. James United Methodist Church, Kansas City, MO Join the United Methodist Church and Harvesters-The Community Food Network for an annual event to eliminate hunger. Each week 66,000 people in our area receive food from Harvesters. Nearly half of those served are children. All proceeds will go to Harvesters. Join everyone at 9AM after the race to help pack lunches for area kids. Learn more about the event and register here. Dot to Dot 5K/10K - September 18, 7:30 am Corporate Woods, Overland Park, KS Come join us for our Annual Paulina Cooper Dot to Dot Run/Walk. We hope to raise $50,000 to donate to pediatric brain tumor research. We can only do this with your help. All 10K participants will get a finisher’s medal! Old Town 10K - September 18, 7:30 am Old Town, Wichita, KS The Old Town 10K will take you on a flat and fast course through downtown Wichita, along the river, and through Riverside Park to return you to historic Old Town. Participants will receive a tech shirt, custom bib number, free photos and finishers medal! Learn more and register here. Sacred Steps 5K - September 24, 8:00 am Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, KS This event is a fun family event! Handmade medals from South Africa are awarded to the top three runners in each age group. All proceeds go directly to our missions initiatives in Africa for medical equipment, education, and community health. Past proceeds have helped provide medical supplies and wells for clean drinking water. Learn more and register here. Broadway Bridge Run - September 25 at 7:00 am Kauffman Center, Kansas City, MO Help support Special Olympics activities in Missouri by participating in the Broadway Bridge Run! The event offers a half marathon, 10K and 5K. Learn more about the Broadway Bridge Run and register here. The 10K is part of the Heartland 30K Series, three 10Ks in three weeks. War Horses for Veterans 5K - September 25 at 9:00 am Liberty Memorial, Kansas City, MO Proceeds benefit Kansas City area veterans’ organizations and this year we are proud to be supporting the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 243! They will be bring their HUEY on race day...come out and see what it a real Vietnam Era Helicopter is like! All finisher’s will receive a medal! Learn more and register here. Regalia Run 5K - September 25 at 8:30 am UMKC, Kansas City, MO The Regalia Run 5K is the kick-off to Founders’ Week – a week set aside and hosted by the UMKC Alumni Association as a way to honor and celebrate the university’s heritage and traditions.
