HOW DOES DIRECT AWARD WORK?

Choosing to Direct Award is always down to you – our customer – to decide.

To help you know if it’s the best approach for you, look to see if you can say yes to one of the criteria detailed in the user guide. For example:

You have an existing relationship with an awarded supplier

Only one of the awarded suppliers can provide what you need

You can identify one of the suppliers offers you best value Are any of those boxes ticked? If yes, you may be able to Direct Award without needing to do a Further Competition or get three quotes – it’s as simple as that!
