Short description of the organisation
The European Union Agency for the Operational Management of LargeScale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) oversees the operations and continued evolution of the EU's large-scale IT systems in the domain of Justice and Home Affairs (JHA). eu-LISA plays a major role by supporting the efforts of the EU and its Member States to keep Europe open and secure through effective IT-solutions. The agency manages operations of the Schengen Information System (SIS), the Visa Information System (VIS) and Eurodac, thereby ensuring highest levels of information security and data protection, providing research, development, and implementation of new systems (e.g. Entry Exit System – EES, ETIAS travel authorisation, and eCODEX), including training for national authorities on the technical use of these IT-systems.

✓The level of organisation’s maturity, further enhanced through implementation of CAF, allows systematic monitoring of results, encourages staff engagement and promotes the culture of continuous improvement
✓Initiatives to promote open communication, staff and knowledge exchange within organisation’s units have been established to ensure that the results of the self-assessment are delivered. Quality Policy and Quality Board are resources that play a key role in the alignment and follow-up for all quality related initiatives..
✓Extensive stakeholder analysis framework has been established, aligning the diverse needs of stakeholders with the long-term ambitions of the Agency. Stakeholders actively participate in both setting and periodically reviewing the results, ensuring their ongoing relevance and alignment with organizational goals
