WELCOME TO KE

One of the best bits of ‘being KE’ is finding new destinations in which to have an adventure. Even after 38 years we still source the best, new itineraries to inspire and excite you; whether travelling alone, with family, guided or self-guided. Here are a few of our new adventures for 2023.

Austria

Innsbruck is one of the most picturesque cities in Europe, with its colourful houses and surrounding mountains. Our new Innsbruck Walking Week holiday allows you to discover the alpine charm of this idyllic area. Listen out for cow bells as you walk through meadows of wildflowers and by turquoise lakes. Cable cars transport you into the mountains for sublime panoramic views. There’s a guided walking tour of the city and the chance to visit the famous Olympic Bergisel ski jump.

Iceland

Majestic waterfalls, spouting geysers, thermal pools and spectacular ice formations - all part of our fantastic new family adventure in Iceland. See geology in action with lava tunnels and bubbling mud pools, take a tour of a glacial lagoon in a Zodiac RIB boat and spot some amazing wildlife such as minke and humpback whales, puffins, seals and dolphins. Iceland is breathtaking and the perfect place for an active family adventure.

Sweden

The Bohuslän coast and islands stretch from just outside Gothenburg on Sweden’s west coast all the way up to the Norwegian border and are a treat for lovers of natural beauty and wildlife. Largely car free, this Self-Guided walking holiday explores the rugged coastlines, taking you to idyllic swimming spots and quaint fishing harbours. It’s everything you picture when you think of Sweden.

Canada

Travel along the Columbia Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular routes in the world, on our new Canadian walking adventure. Stopping in the jaw-droppingly beautiful Banff, Jasper and Yoho National Parks, as well as Kananaskis Country and Lake Louise, you will enjoy 11 days of great hiking. This trip will give you stunning vistas and glacial lakes, all coupled with amazing Canadian warmth and hospitality.

Mexico

From Mexico City to the Yucatan Peninsula, this new holiday explores the best of Mexico on foot. We’ve included hikes to Mayan temples, a refreshing dip in cascading waterfalls, guided visits to beautiful colonial cities and swimming in cenotes (natural water-filled pits or caves), all of which will help you work up an appetite for that wonderful Mexican cuisine… and maybe a shot or two of tequila!

Nepal

Looking for your first Himalayan summit? Then look no further than the ‘small’, but perfectly formed, Yalung Ri (5,630m). At the head of the beautiful Rolwaling Valley this highly achievable peak is the newest addition to our range of classic Nepal trekking routes. A great starter summit for anyone who would like to try their hand at basic mountaineering.

Kyrgyzstan

Explore the ‘Land of the Celestial Mountains’ with this stunning new trekking adventure. You will enjoy spectacular walking through the Tian Shan Mountains and discover the culture and hospitality of its eagle-hunting nomadic tribes. Stay in traditional yurts and meet local families to learn the ways of nomadic life, as well as experiencing the vast steppe they inhabit.
