Lofoten Islands
200km north of the Arctic Circle, the Lofoten Islands rise out of the Norwegian Sea. They are islands of contrast; with their sharp granite peaks, soaring ridgelines and rocky outcrops containing boisterous sea bird colonies. Glacier cut fjords and calm sheltered bays dotted with colourful fisherman’s houses and white sandy beaches are plentiful.
