Louise’s vows
Ash, from the day I first layed eyes on you I only dreamt of this moment, to be standing here on our wedding day becoming your wife. Today, my dream comes true.
I feel beyond privileged to be marrying such a caring, ambitious and loyal person with a heart truly like no other. The time and energy you give to help those around you, including myself, demonstrates your selfless character and I believe is why you are so loved.
You bring strength to my weaknesses, clarity to my doubt and focus to my dreams. You have made my life 110% better and for that I thank you. No matter what happens in the days, months and years to come I know with certainty in my heart that everything will be okay, because I have you. I have always believed that everything happens for a reason and so here today I know this is fate. You and me, best friends, soul mates, we are meant to be together, to love each other and share life’s experiences side by side, hand in hand, hearts intertwined as one.
May our lives continue to embrace and compliment each other in every way possible. Full of nothing but love, laughter, workouts, meal prep and conversations about how big our muscles are. Ash, today, tomorrow and for the rest of our lives together, I promise to stand beside you and support you in all that you are and all that you are yet to become. I promise to always be open with you, to persevere through any challenges that come our way and to never stop showing you how much I adore you. Ash’s vows
My darling, in you I have found the love of my life, my best friend and my soul mate. You are my light in the dark, my warmth in the cold, you are my safe place. It is with great pride and joy that today I take you to be my wife.
I promise to always honour and respect you. To care for you and protect you. I promise to always be there to comfort you and support you. And to put away my dishes and try my best to do the laundry.
I promise to nurture your dreams and do everything in my power to help you reach them. I promise to share my whole heart with you, to cherish you and remember to show you how deeply I care for you, no matter the challenges that may come our way or what obstacles we have in front of us - our love will always come first.
Today, I vow to devote my life to you and to love you loyally and fiercely, until my very last breath on this earth. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my lifetime loving you and growing old with you. With you by my side, there are no limits. Only stars that shall continue to shine brightly upon us. I give you this ring as a sign of my love that’s forever, eternal and never ending. Our love story
Over 7 years ago we met at a gym in Palmerston North which is where our love story began. Ash was a personal trainer and I (Louise) openly took up the role as the gym manager (little did Ash know he was half the reason why I took that role). What started as working together to then training together we spent a lot of time in each other’s company and it soon became obvious that the relationship we shared was something special. We both decided to prep for our very first bodybuilding show and agreed to help motivate and support each other to help stay on track. We learnt a lot about one another during this time and and we quickly realized how compatible we were as we shared the same ambitions/values and drive. We also realized if we can survive a bodybuilding prep together then we can survive anything – strict dieting and being extremely meticulous in everything one does is not usually a recipe for love. But this journey only ignited the flame which later transitioned into happily forever after.
We spent the first 3 years of our time together living in Palmerston North. We worked as personal trainers, competing in various bodybuilding shows and enjoyed lots of food dates trying all the local cafes and restaurants (we are both big foodies). We got engaged after 3 years dating on the 1st of January 2019 where Ash bustled up the courage to pop the question. It was on a secluded beach with a gorgeous waterfall to the side and it really was the best start to the year. From there, things only got better (cliché, we know). We loved to travel and explore new places and on return from an overseas holiday we spontaneously decided we wanted a change of scenery and packed up our belongings and moved to the beautiful Bay of Plenty. We now both work together, live together and well, pretty much do everything together and we couldn’t be happier! We own a health and fitness company, living and breathing the lifestyle which we are so very passionate about! We have grown immensely as both individuals and a couple through both life’s challenges and gifts. We have travelled many places, laughed for many hours and supported each other through some very difficult losses, but every experience has drawn us closer and for that we see value in everything life throws at us.
To get a better picture of us as a couple – some may say “Louise brings order to Ash’s chaos but Ash brings calm to Louise’s stress”. What may be viewed as our individual weaknesses are found to be each other’s strengths and with this we navigate our journey of life complimenting each other in every way possible. We didn’t just find love when we found each other, we found our other half, our soul mate. Now happily married, we are excited to see where this next chapter will lead us in our journey as Mr & Mrs Mullen.
