Now, this couple didn’t get here by themselves, they have been suppor ted by each of their families, depending on them for knowledge, guidance and love. Without them, this day would not be possible. Today they grow a new branch of the family tree which will be strengthened by the love, traditions and knowledge of each of their family roots.
He said Georgia was different to any other girl he had ever met, she was down to ear th, there was something so naturally beautiful about her. As he got to know her better, he saw how honest, open, trusting and genuine she was which made it so easy to be in her company. He said that he really looked forward to seeing her each time they caught up and he could tell from very early on that he was onto something special.
As she got to know him she the loved the way he laughed and thought that his laugh was much funnier than his jokes sometimes but it made her smile. She fell in love with his selfless and caring nature, big hear t and she could see a future of love, laughs and adventure as well as knowing that he would be a great father one day.
Georgia’s Vows Brendon, today our life together begins. Today I become your wife.
There are many things I love about you. I love the way you kiss me and tell me you love me ever y night without fail. I love your generosity and loyalty to your friends and whānau. I love the way you laugh, from deep down in your puku. I love your smile, the way your eyes crinkle and your ears lift up. I love it when you belt out Lewis Capaldi in the car, even when it’s off key!
Brendon, you are selfless, caring, intelligent, driven, generous, goofy and adventurous. I love you for all of those things but I also love you for who I am when I’m with you. You truly make me a better person. You push me to be my best self and you allow me to dream. You let me be me, with all of the silliness attached. You are the calm to my storm. I have never been more sure about anything than I am right now, about marr ying you and committing to a life with you, our wee boy Dusty and to all the future animals we will adopt.
Today I vow to honour you, respect you, suppor t you and encourage you. I promise to dream with you, celebrate with you, and adventure with you. I vow to laugh with you, to fight for you, and love you for the rest of my life.
Brendon, today our life together begins. And I for one, can’t wait.
Brendon’s Vows George, it makes me so happy to be standing here marrying you today.
I love everything about you. I love that I have found such a strong and independent woman, who is so genuine and caring at the same time. I love how easily you connect with others. You light up any room you are in, and every situation is so much more enjoyable from having you in it. I love how strong your bonds are with your friends and family, and I love how suppor tive you are of me in my pursuits.
Life is simple for me, when we are together, I am happy. You are so fun to be around, you help me to lighten up and you challenge my thinking in such positive ways. I am a better person from being with you.
With our marriage today, I promise to suppor t you in all of your dreams for our life together. I promise I will be there with you to enjoy the good times and to provide comfor t through any challenges. When you are stressed or anxious, I will always listen. I will do my very best to make our lives together full of fun, adventure and happiness. I promise to live everyday trying to be the best husband that I can be.
George, you make me so happy, and I can’t wait to begin our future together.

Don’s Speech Georgia, I have to say how stunning you look. Walking down the aisle with you’re Dad, just brings a tear to my eye. Such a strong independent girl, suppor ted by a strong bunch of girlfriends, you have already bought a significant amount to Brendon. The experiences you two have had together which I’m sure Brendon would never have had otherwise, have expanded his character, and cemented an enduring relationship. We love you, and truly welcome you as a daughter that we did not have ourselves.
Robyn’s Speech Georgia you look gorgeous – what a perfect day! From the day we met Georgia we knew she would be a great complement for Brendon. Down to ear th, no fuss, full of life and just slotted in very easily.
We love Georgia for the realism she brings, her love of nature, tramping, the outdoors, animals, Dusty, oh my goodness the most spoilt cat in the world and then of course your love of teaching and working with children. I think Georgia won Brendon over, with her ability to simply enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
Brendon we are both so proud of you, you have got off to a great star t in life and now its your time to map your future with Georgia, you have found a real treasure, and Georgia we think Brendon’s a pretty good catch too! To you both always remember what it is you love about each other, how you got to today and never lose sight of that, or take each other for granted.
Kate’s Speech It was quite an adjustment for a small-town girl like Georgia moving to the big city, Dunedin for boarding school and university. This is where Georgia met some of the closest and most impor tant friends in her life.
She mentioned after your date that you really paid attention to her and yes we all know Georgia loves attention but you pay attention to all the impor tant things. Like making her hot drinks on Saturday mornings, finding love in Georgia’s interests like hiking and diving, making conscious effor ts to get to know her friends and whanau and being your generous and loving self.
You bring out the best in my sister and she brings out the silly in you. They are both as caring as one another, they are good listeners, great friends and even better par tners. Georgia and Brendon, we wish you nothing but a happy and long life together as husband and wife.
Brendon’s Speech I am truly over-whelmed, I don’t think I could be any happier than I am right now. To now be married to this beautiful woman here beside me and to share that with all of you today, I’m just so happy. Alex and Angus, it made Georgia and I so happy to have you par t of our ceremony today. My friendship with each of these men is so strong. I don’t need to elaborate because each of you boys know what I mean and I’m really proud to have you here with me today.
Tim, you are driven, dedicated, hard-working and loyal. You’re a champion bloke and you get along so well with all of my friends. When you met Georgia, the two of you seemed to connect instantly. I am so grateful that the two of you get along so well and that I have a brother that I can look to for inspiration, friendship and suppor t.
Taua, I have really been able to see that so many of the qualities that I love about George have obviously been passed down to her by you. Adelaide, you have such a unique friendship with Georgia and Kate, and together you are such a tight trio. You are all beautiful, adventurous, independent and strong women, with a caring nature that I admire in all of you.
That’s what I have loved the most about her all along “she’s got a good hear t”. She is warm and kind, her intentions are pure and she cares so much for the people close to her. She is somebody who I have been so proud to introduce to people as my girlfriend and I will be even more proud that I can now introduce her as my wife.
George, I hope that today has been everything you have dreamed of. This has cer tainly been the best day of my life, and I can’t wait to continue that for a few hours longer. I have loved growing our relationship over the past few years, and I could always see myself ending up here today marrying you. I love you so much, you make me so happy, and I can’t wait to begin our future together as husband and wife.
