Chloe’s Vows
Graham, thinking of you and I, we have never been the type of couple that expresses our love in grand words, and so when I sat down to write my vows, I can’t say I found it easy. The challenge wasn’t that I can’t say how much I love you, or how or why, it’s that words don’t do it justice. How do you describe an indescribable feeling? Our love has never been based on words, but is unspoken and deeply felt.
Although it’s been nearly 13 years since we met, it feels like it has gone past in the blink of an eye, and yet it also feels like you have been a part of my life forever. With a few years between us meeting and then creating a life together, we arrived at the point where we are now; a home, a dog and a very nice ring. We have merged our lives and together dreamt up this very day.
Now standing in front of you, I have a few promises to make, some more particular than others…
I promise to indulge your ever-growing Lego collection and vacuum what little part of the floor is left visible.
I promise to always straighten a room after you’ve left it.
I promise to always put you first but agree that the word ‘first’ in return actually means ‘second’ if Eko is in the mix, and I also promise to be ok with that.
I promise to love you unconditionally through good times and bad.
I promise to continue to build on our love.
And I promise you a life of great food, even better wine and personal jokes with sly glances to one another across a room.
We may be opposite in many ways but I’m lucky that we align in what we want to achieve, the direction in which we want our lives to go and how we want to grow together. You are my best friend, my future and now… very soon, my husband.

Graham’s Vows
Chloe, my friend, my love, my spell checker. Only a year ago we sat together watching the tv to see if we would be released from lock down and be able to make it to our wedding. Wondering if we would even get to have our day at all. It has taken us 3 attempts, but we are finally here, taking the next step in our journey together.
Chloe, you look stunning! I am so lucky to be marrying someone as beautiful and intelligent as you. Without you I wouldn’t be where I am today, soon to be married, living in a beautiful house, planning a family and having the fluffiest of floofs, Eko, who is still waiting on his little brother.
You are the best friend and partner I could have ever wanted.
Chloe, I promise to love and support you in the future through both the good times and the bad. I promise to sit by you in tiny hotel rooms and on the trains to the hospital. To plan epic holidays with you and live life alongside you to its fullest potential.
I promise to always let you do the stickers on the LEGO sets, but most of all I promise to always and only be yours.
Together we have already achieved so much. Chloe I love you and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
