Georgia + Alistair

Georgia + Alistair APRIL 24, 2021 THE HUNTING LODGE, KUMEU

Like lamplight BY B R I A N T U R N E R One day when you are beside me invite me to speak of the secrets I never knew I wanted to tell you, of the warmth I never knew I owned until you released it by moving close as lamplight seems to glass. Ask me why I came to you with the reverence of one who sees a flower bloom where none has bloomed before By saying what is I will have said what was. Sometimes when you are content ask me what it is that moves me to want to hold you so, so often, and laugh when I tell you the same old indestructible thing. One day when you are where you need no invitation to be I will tell you how you flower like lamplight in me.

Alistair’s Vows You are my ever ything. You came into my life when I least expected it and gave me purpose. You filled the hole that I didn’t even know I had, and have made me complete. Along the way you have made me a better person, but also accepted me for who I am. Life’s challenges are nothing when I have you by my side. I love your strength, your kindness, your humour and your uncompromising attitude towards life. I promise to always be there, right beside you, for what ever life throws at us. I promise to strive to be the man and the husband that you deser ve. I promise to love you, cherish you and tr y to remember to put my dishes in the dishwasher. When I think about our future, it fills me with excitement as I think of all the things we will achieve together. When we have our own family, our kids will be the luckiest on ear th because they will have you for a mother. Life is nothing without purpose, and today I am committing to mine. One to live humbly for, until the end of time.

Georgia’s Vows Alistair, you came into my life when I least expected it. You showered me with love and affection from day 1 and our relationship quickly flourished, it’s come so far and I can’t wait to see where our relationship is yet to go. I love that we can be our authentic selves with each other. No need to pretend or put on an act, we love each other for who we authentically are. I love that you are loyal to the core. You love your family and friends just as fiercely as I love mine. Our families have become each other’s families and today they become connected forever. I love that you want to see the world, a rewarding career, have a home bursting with love and laughter and a family to fill it. And I want all those things as well, with you, my love. I promise to grow and change alongside you. To continue to better myself. To become the best version of ourselves - together. I promise to love you unconditionally, no if ’s no buts just love ever yday for the rest of my life. When things get hard I promise to commit to us and fight for the love that we have and the vows we are making today. I promise to be standing by you, hand in hand, on good days and bad. I will be your rock just as you have been mine so many times before. I, Georgia May Stuchbur y take you, Alistair Graham Van de Water to be my husband and I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and as a sign of my promises.

Is that alright?

Life is so simple

I hope you’re still with me

A little boy, a little girl

When I’m not quite myself

Laughing and loving

And I pray that you’ll lift me

Tr yin’ to figure out the world

When you know I need help

It felt like summer

It’s a warm celebration

When I kissed you in the rain

Of all of our years

And I know your stor y

I dream of our stor y

But tell me again

Of our fair y-tale

Nothing you say wouldn’t interest me

Family dinners and family trees

All of your words are like poems to me

Teachin’ the kids to say, “Thank you,” and, “Please”

I would be honored if you would take me as I am

Knowin’ if we stay together that things will be right

I want you

I want you

To look right in my eyes

To look right in my eyes

To tell me you love me

To tell me you love me

To be by my side

To be by my side

I want you

I want you

At the end of my life

At the end of my life

I wanna see your face when I fall with grace

Wanna see your face when I fall with grace

At the moment I die

At the moment I die

Is that alright?

Is that alright?

Is that alright?

Is that alright?

Thank you We would like to say thank you to our amazing suppor t network who contributed so much to our wedding day and our relationship as a whole. To our bridal par ty, thank you for making our weekend one to remember. It was such a highlight seeing our loved ones from different areas of our lives laugh and celebrate together. We feel so privileged to have such a wonderful team by our sides not only for our big day but also for our future adventures and challenges. To our families, thank you for all your contributions to our wedding weekend. It wouldn’t have been the same without the time, love and effor t you all put into it. Whatever request we had, you jumped at it and went above and beyond to ensure the weekend ran seamlessly. Our families are now one and we look forward to our lives being shared together. To those who couldn’t be with us in person to celebrate, thank you for sending your love and well wishes to us. We felt your presence on the day and raised a glass (or two!) to you over the weekend. We can’t wait to be reunited again in the future.
