You have such a big hear t and I will be forever grateful that you chose me. I promise to hold back on comments about your cleaning abilities. I promise to love you and value your friendship. I promise that we will look back on our life with no regrets. I promise to always be there for you through the good times and the hard times, you will never walk alone. I promise to suppor t your dreams in life and be by your side ever y step of the way. Today in the presence of all our family and friends we join together to take on life as one, along with Macey and Austin. I’m so excited to see where our journey takes us!
William’s vows Becks, 8 and a half years ago in a dingy flat on Bannister Place my life changed. I still remember the day vividly, the day a beautiful girl walked across the stained carpet and through to the kitchen still full of last week’s dishes. It took me some time, but after plucking up the courage to introduce myself I remember thinking how Beautiful, Fun and personable you were. We just clicked. You were 20, and I 21 and over the last 8 years we have literally grown up together, and I am happy to say that today is the day, we confirm, we will grow old together. I could not imagine life without, you are my Rock, the person that makes me feel better on a bad day. I am immensely proud of the person you have become; you are strong, loving, and caring with a hear t of absolute gold. I love the way; you have always cared for me and our furr y family. I love the way, you sing to Macey, it may not be in tune, but its music to my ears. I love the way, you make me want to be a better person, and do the best I can for you and our Family. I promise that I will always check the room and kill all the spiders if there are any present. I promise that I will always give you the window seat on the plane, domestic and hopefully one day International I promise that I will always stand by you, through the good and the bad, no matter what happens we will ride it together. Becks you are my best mate, I love you more that words can describe, and I promise that you will have all of me from now to the end of our days. Love you forever Babe.
William’s speech First, I would like to star t with a toast to my Bride. Becks, you look absolutely stunning today, and you have made me the happiest man in the world. On behalf of Beck’s and I, I would like to thank you all for being here on our wedding day, it means the world to have you all here, and we really do hope you enjoy yourself. One of my favourite early memories of Becks and I’s relationship was my first venture over the beautiful west coast. After being together for around 6 months, Becks invited me over for the first time to attend her 21st bir thday par ty. She said to me, and I remember this clearly. “Don’t worr y, there will only be a few of the close family attending for a small dinner, it will be casual” . To this day, I still call Rebecca’s 21’st as “The Great Paroa Ambush”. When entering the Paroa Hotel, I quickly realized that the chance of a casual dinner was bleak. The large pink balloons and happy 21st bir thday signs were a sure sign that there was something bigger planned for the night. In fact, Jen and the Nolan sisters had organized a surprise par ty. To me, it felt like half the town was present, and there was plenty of attention on the new guy on the scene. Within minutes, I had met all the Nolan aunties barring Sharon, and was working my way through most of the cousins. For a guy who is great with faces, but not names it was a tough situation. As I looked around, wide eyed and ner vous, Bernie (Beck’s uncle) strolled out from behind the bar with his palm open. I thought to myself this was quite a unique way for a man to shake your hand. As he got closer, I realized that the outstretched palm was carr ying something, in fact that something was a silver bullet. I believe the words were “If you balls up mate, this is what’s coming for ya” followed by a characteristic Bernie monk laugh. Bernie, I believe it is now safe to say you can put that bullet away. When the speeches arrived, I thought I was in the clear. That was until Colin stepped up on stage. The speech star ted off like any other quintessential 21st speech. That was until Colin star ted to recall stories of a misbehaving horse. The big male grey horse had a notorious reputation around the local pony clubs. It was constantly rearing up, breaking away and biting. All it wanted to do was run, jump the fence and be around its mates. The horse was so naughty that Colin and Becks eventually made the call to give it away. The horses name was William. For the last 5 minutes of the speech Colin retold stories about naughty William and his adventures. To this Day, I am still not sure if that was one of the greatest powers plays, I have ever seen or heard. All I can say is kudos to you Colin, you cer tainly got me there. All in all, the night was a great success, and it was evident just how impor tant family is to Becks, and how impor tant she is to her family.
