Fluid Luminosity: The Architectural Lighting of Zaha Hadid lighting narrows the distance between people and buildings. people can feel the form and material by the transparency of light. Zaha Hadid’s focus on the luminous lines of the window in the early work, the later-work focuses on the luminous fields and a play of brilliance.
transparency/ translucency The lighting transparency is a feeling of the material. different materials will have different transparency for the eye of people, it will present different means. transparency will show the texture of the material. in a philosophical way, different lighting will present different feelings by the material. seeing concrete, the lighting is “deep, it makes people feel calmness and wide that people will feel self is small. all lighting will be blend into the concrete. the transparency of material narrow the distance between people and material. different transparency will have different levels of lighting in the material. lighting blend into the material, due the different transparency, it will cause the material texture to be changed. The Vitra Fire Station (Weil am Rhein, 1993) has deconstructive lines of light, it presents the power of concrete wall. the outside lighting was designed on the ground, it lighting the concrete wall. due to the transparency of the concrete wall is low, so the lighting will be suction to the concrete, making the wall lighting becoming soft. in the inside, the lighting was designed to light the concrete line, to present the suprematist paintings of the designer. she using the distinctive sun blinds to add the pattern elements. Zaha hadid like using the graphical to present the lighting and luminaires.in the Strasbourg’s Hoenheim-Nord Terminus and Car Park (2001), before the research, she analysis the city transport, and making the city transport changed to some graphic.
Then she making the graphic become lightings on the building. it was designed to some strips in the concrete roof. In the Phaeno Science Centre (Wolfsburg, 2005), some coherent forms were designed on the wall. and making the window shape and lighting imagination become the same. due to the concrete construction produced shadows, she uses ceiling luminaires to provide lighting. for the Striving for homogeneity at the Heydar Aliyev Centre (Baku, 2012). in the day time, the lighting will exposure on the surface of the building, to present the surrounding environment. but in the night, the inside lighting will flow to the outside surface, to add a sense of geometric of building. in the inside of the building, the lighting will flow to every level, it will produce a flowing feeling of lighting. From the Zaha hadid design project, we can found, she like using the material to reflect the lighting and surrounding environment. and the building is not straight like the early work, it changed to more curve. and in the inside, the lighting is to present the texture of the building. she using lighting function to add the depth. she likes using drawing technology for building design. Through this, and all of her previous projects, she has traced a remarkable path from fragmented light lines to a luminous fluidity by day and night.

EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD HAS WIND. HUMAN IS SO SMALL ON THE EARTH, BUT THE WIND IS IN EVERYWHERE. PEOPLE WALK ON THE GRASS GROUND, SWIMMING IN THE SEA OR JUST SIT ON THE DESK, THE WIND ALL-EMBRACING YOU. AND THE SHAPE OF THE WIND IS DIFFERENT. LIGHTING ALL IS LIKE WIND, THE TWO SIDES ALL IS NOT ANY SHAPES, BUT YOU CAN SEE THE LIGHTING THROUGH THE WIND EMBRACING, BECAUSE THE WIND WILL TAKE SOME DUST, THE LIGHTING WILL LIGHTING THE DUST, IT WILL REFLECT MANY DIFFERENT LIGHTING.

THE SEA IS VAST AND VAST FOR PEOPLE, THE WAVES BEAT THE COAST, AND PEOPLE PLAY IN THE WAVES. WHEN THE WAVES ARE COMING OVER, IT IS LIKE THE SEA IS EMBRACING YOU. THIS IDEA IS INSPIRED BY THE WAVES, AND WHEN PEOPLE HIT THE WAVES, A RAY OF SUNSHINE GUIDES THE WAY FORWARD. EXTRACT THE CURVE FROM THE WAVES AND MAKE IT THREE-DIMENSIONAL, MAKING HIM A SURGING WAVE. WHEN THE WAVES SURGE, THE SUN SHINES IN THE GAP, JUST LIKE THE SUN IS HUGGING YOU.

SEEK LIGHT IS EMBRACING NATURE SEEK LIGHT IS EMBRACING NATURE
TREE HOLE IS A WINDOW, I PICK UP THE LINE FROM TREE HOLE SHAPE. THE LIGHT COMES FROM THE TREE HOLE IN THE EYES OF INSECTS. THE IDEA OF USING NATURAL ELEMENTS, MAKING HUMANS CAN SEEK LIGHT IN THE INTERIOR OF THE PROJECT.
15
TREES HAVE BEEN AROUND LONGER THAN HUMANS. HUMAN IS SO SMALL IN THE EARTH, HUMAN FOR THE EARTH, AS THE INSECT FOR THE TREE. INSECTS CRAWL THROUGH HOLES IN TREES AND FOLLOW THE SUN AS IT GUIDES THEM FROM COLD TO WARM. TREE HOLE LIKE A WINDOW, MAKING THE SUNLIGHT GO INSET. TO PROVIDE WARMTH FOR THE TREE. THE HUMAN SAW THE INTERIOR FROM THE TREE HOLE, TO SEE THE DARK WORLD. AS HUMANS EMBRACING THE SUN AND NATURE IN THE EYES OF THE INSECT.

Veiled in Brilliance: How Reflective Facades Have Changed Modern Architecture
17
In a philosophical way, reflection shows the different life of everything. different material will reflection different lighting, it present different life phenomenon. like the concrete board, the material will reflect calmness lighting when the lighting on it. it presents the material ‘s depth, it like men that old, it presents the lighting ‘s rip. the lighting takes some trace in the life of him. lighting will reflection all things. like life, trace, and idea. iridescence is a special phenomenon. it reflects different colors of lighting. it like some goodness in life. in life, it has good things, and bad things, the reflection will all reflect. but it will use different colors to present it. in nature, it also likes life. the reflection will reflect genuine world. like the steel board, it has a low reflection phenomenon, but we also can see the surrounding environment. it can reflect the building, material, and people.
LIGHT2 refraction/ irdescense Reflection is a natural phenomenon, it was produced in everywhere of nature. it will be produced on any material. different materials will reflection different lighting that it was followed the texture of the material. like the steel board, it will reflect specular lighting. the phenomenon is because the steel board has a glazed surface. Modern architecture has a higher transparency of glass, it can clear reflect off the surrounding environment. in the movement, people already knowing the sample glass is so boring, so people began to change the sample large glass facades.
In 1921, for the Glass Skyscraper in Berlin, the designer changed the city sample glass surface. he thinks it reflects too much light. so it changed the surface shape. to reduce the lightings reflect for the skyscraper. Inwardly and outwardly curved glass elements distort the perception of the city, water, and sky. They build a fresh contrast to the uniform plane glass curtains of the International Style. The environment is not appreciated as a clear mirrored picture. different glass plane will reflect different level lighting. in the Elbphilharmonie, the designer also changes the surface of glass plane that selected parts to create distinct distorted reflections due to the convex exterior shapes of the glass – comparable to a contact lens resting on the façade. it will get more lighting but will reduce the strong lighting. finally, For an Australian science facility, the outside surface will reduce the sunlight that strong level. they use different triangle surface, it will produce a shadow. they use the aluminum board outside. Some forms of sparkling reflective patterns are even able to initiate political discussions and influence the names of buildings. The “Fernsehturm Berlin” is an excellent example of this, with its reflection in the form of a cross emanating from the sphere. Therefore, new landmarks will continue to reach for innovative combinations of material and form to create brilliant veils and a bright urban future.

The final level is some steel support columns. it will produce triangle construction, to support the whole building.
The third level is triangle glass. it will make the sunlight go into the building.
The second level is the steel board, and inside it has steel support contraction. the material can reflect the sunlight.
The base footpoint, it was designed by concrete.

Darkness is origin lighting, it was produced by lighting. different strong level lighting will produce different level of darkness. The weather and daylight all can influence the darkness and shadow. the summer has strong lighting, it will produce strong lighting, in the night, the lighting is so low, the shadow is so dark.
25
In a philosophical way, I think the darkness is light. because the influence elements have too many, and the light produced different shadows. the darkness comes from lighting. like in Denmark’s medieval church, because, it has a different level architecture wall, the lighting will show in every level line, like a triangle lighting. it has a religion means. the light like “Low from the north to emphasize a black steel crucifix; more broadly from the south as a glancing wash; and as a shower directly behind the altar, guided down through a sluice of the wall. Different lighting will produce different darkness the different light has different means. different materials will have a different shadow.
Light study 3 Light Matters: Whiteness in Nordic Countries In the Scandinavian nations, the architecture has an incredible structure, it will have not any light in summer and winter. The designer Henry Plummer, the emeritus educator of the College of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, has contemplated different sunshine wonders in northern European nations truly and has done broad photography and superb composition, consolidating scientific viewpoint and idyllic painting. His perspective on sunlight goes past the users preferred position of utilizing intelligent void areas to encourage splendid rooms. Eager picture takers are increasingly keen on lighting impacts that touch the normal scene and human spirit. in the whiteness, it is a modern house. on the wall, it has many different circle, it will get many lighting that show different lighting level shadow. and due to the material, the light is so mall and so dark. but like other designer, Aarno hops can reduce light, His interpretation of sunlight comes from a more abstract presence of light, as he states: “Light originates somewhere, but man does not need to know where. Lighting is not an end in itself. But its meaning is to create a feeling of the infiniteness of eternity. lighting will produce different darkness, but it also was caused by different architecture structure and architecture materials. In the concept of white diffusion, the designer use white linoleum. the technology use white shadow, to cover the walls, floors and ceilings. to present the expressive daylight scoop. but, in the Nordic built environment, the white is only way, It is likewise a one of a kind northern European light strategy that has the vibration method of light or the transient normal throb of emotional light and shadow.

Light study 4 Light Matters: Le Corbusier and the Trinity of Light Diffusion is also is a special phenomenon in nature, it was so beautified in somewhere. some light like water, it flows from somewhere. and it can produce a feeling that makes people feel the texture of light. porosity is also is a typical phenomenon, it can present some light feeling.
33
In the Philosophical way, the diffusion and porosity, it is closely linked. the diffusion was produced by the porosity, in different level of porosity, the light will present different means, shape, and feeling. in the three sacred buildings, the Le Corbusier use different direction of opening, texture, and material, to present a different feeling than active. diffusion is a special phenomenon, it was produce cause many elements, the diffusion will produce different light, to influence the architecture. the porosity also was influenced by many elements, like the architecture style, surrounding environment and material, the reasons all produce different porosities.
diffusion/ porosity In the Three sacred building, the designer use masterfully direction opening and texture, the technology will cause the different feeling that active. but in the Pilgrimage chapel at Ronchamp, the monastery of Sainte Marie de La Tourette, and the parish church of Saint-Pierre in Firminy, the designer’s every idea, it all provides a calmness space by light. But in the different region, the light and holiness is closely linked.
In the Romanesque apse, Because in Christianity the Bible, the god is light, but people thinks the light is different. so the designer use the colorful glass, to present different colors light, that it will have different means. the Henry Plummer study Le Corbusier’s architecture has four years. he gets an idea that light is not only ways of religion, but it can also become calmer for architecture. for the main characteristic of the Chapel of Notre Dame du Haut at Ronchamp (1950-55), the church wall was lighted by red light, make the original color becomes more depth. the sunlight already blends into the cracks of the wall, making the church got a warm light from a small opening. In the Monastery of Sainte Marie de la Tourette at Éveux-sur-l’Arbresle (1953-60), it has a straight line. people can feel the light from the four sides. For the highlight of the light choreography in La Tourette’s church, the lighting is followed the cracks of the west wall, when the falling sun, the light line will be changed, it will move up, and it will light the roof. different porosities will produce different lighting. the church influence will be influenced by the changed of seasons, from a big triangle lighting to a small lighting. For the scenography at the church of Saint-Pierre at Firminy (1960-2006), the east side will produce light point begins, it will be changed to lighting wave. it will be changed to follow the sunlight up or down. Le Corbusier’s light has different technology, it will produce a sacred architecture. he use different porosity to got different light, it will influence the architecture. the light also will be changed by weather, material and seasons. porosity will produce different diffusion.
