Community Health and Wellness Center I chose Naha, Okinawa, Japan my home town as a place to design a community wellness center. This wellness center is to help spread the seventh day Adventist belief of living a healthy lifestyle. Creating spaces that have good ventilation and natural light as well as having a vegetarian restaurant to show people how to eat good and healthy at the same time. There are also hot baths to relax, a gym to get strong and a living option to help make it truly peoples lifestyle. I designed this health and wellness center in the city where there are more people who are in need of help in the area of health. It is not easy to change but I wanted this center to be part of the community and as a team to help each other in improving their life styles.

Community Center I collaborated with Celeena Seats to develop an urban development for the Lutheran church, our client. The site is approximately 9 acres and it has an elementary school and the Lutheran church towards the front. We added a road and design different varieties of affordable housing for college student who attend school nearby as well for retired church members who wanted to live closer to church and be more part of the community. We particular focused on the development of the connection between the school and church that was separated by a big parking lot by designing a community center that both facilities will use as well as a place to hold events to involve different age groups who will be living there to be involved with each other.

Pause to Contemplate This is a multifunction project based in Michigan City, Indiana. The addition of the new bullet train that will connect from Detroit to Chicago is the key for development for this site. Currently, Michigan city is a destination for many and only for a specific reason, people come to visit. Also, many of the big attraction such as the outlet mall and the casino are not well connected to each other it is not encouraging people to come back soon again. I am designing tis site with the train station being the foundation in connection the city. I connected the site with the water and created places where people can pause and contemplate. Michigan city is blessed with the amazing view of the lake, I used the full benefit of the waterfront in making a place where people can relax even in a busy place and time to find a moment to realize the blessing of nature that surrounds them and to be refreshed by it.
