Education Committee PENS Reporter Update

Purpose of Committee: Under the direction of the Board of PENS, the Education Committee is responsible for developing educational projects/materials to meet the educational needs of the members and the patients and families they serve.

Summary of Projects:

Our committee met 4/14/21 and again at the 2021 PENS virtual conference 4/22/21 to introduce new members and plan to update the current educational materials for patients and nurses.

Our members have been working to sort through the old topics and update them accordingly.

Next meeting scheduled 6/2/21 where the group will officially meet with plans to organize website materials and plan for future webinars.

Updated educational topics for review included topics on Obesity, Hypothyroidism, CAH, Precocious Puberty and more.

Poll was sent to all conference attendees asking to choose your interests for educational topics and webinars and our committee plans to review these requests and plan future webinars.
