Xbox 360 The Xbox 360 is for hardcore gamers. With up to 250GB of storage, you’ll have plenty of room. The Xbox supports High Definition format and has built-in WiFi. Xbox has offered several special edition consoles based on highly anticipated games. Some past special edition consoles include the Gears of War 3 console, the Halo Reach console, and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 console. You can also get the Xbox Kinect for your system which uses the player’s body as the controller. The Kinect gets users active. You can also sign up for Xbox Live which allows online multiplayer gaming. Other Features: Netflix, Hulu Plus, Zune, YouTube, ESPN Price: $150-$300 ($400 for special editions)


Playstation 3 The Playstation 3 is another serious gaming console. The PS3 holds up to 320GB. One of the main features of the console is that it supports Blu-Rays and High Definition. The PS3 now also supports 3D. It also has built-in WiFi and the Playstation Network for online playing. The Playstation Network, unlike Xbox Live, is free to use. Players can also buy the Playstation Move which has a motion sensored controller similar to the Wii’s. Other Features: Netflix, Hulu Plus, CinemaNow, Music Unlimited Price: $250-$400


Wii The Nintendo Wii is more of a family and party oriented console. The console only holds up to 512MB but you can buy a larger SD card. The special feature of the Wii is its wireless motion controllers giving users complete control with the motion of their hands. The Wii also has built-in WiFi and allows online multiplayer for free. With the Wii, you can play classic titles such as Mario and the Legend of Zelda. Other Features: Netflix, Virtual Console Price: $150-$250
