The Ford Y studio Concept:
Energy Effficiency:
Construct a multi-purpose space: 1. temporary housing during home construction of main house 2. accomodations for office and guest quarters 3. car storage and open pavilion for outdoor activities
Design Criteria:
1. create a space that maximizes use through out building life cycle. 2. serve as a transitional element tieing the project to the neighborhood vernacular 3. use innovative building technologies and building systems to minimize impact on environment and increase building energy efficiency
