KW HOPE To Help Out People in Emergencies is the singular and passionate purpose of the committee. As a Market Centre extension of KW Cares, a registered public charity in the United States, the HOPE committee aims to support Keller Williams Referred Realty associates, their immediate families, and the broader community when hardships arise as a result of an emergency. HOPE extends aid for 3 purposes. One third of all funds raised go to support KW Cares in the US who use the money to support a host of worthwhile endeavours and charities. To learn more, go to www.kwcares.org. One third of all funds go to support immediate staff and associates in times of acute need. In the past, we have helped our associates with medical expenses, and with basic living costs and care after a critical illness. We also provide financial support to our people and the broader community when a fire, flood, or other natural disaster strikes. The committee has also adopted a local charity so it can spread the culture of giving that is so much a part of who we are at Keller Williams Referred Realty. To this end, we support Project Give Back, a charity that delivers a programme designed for elementary school students. The “project” teaches fourth-graders how to seek out, advocate and fundraise for a worthy cause of their choice. One third of the money we raise goes to support Project Give Back. Through our support of Project Give Back we are indirectly supporting dozens of worthwhile charities and organizations. Moreover, the programme is helping to form tomorrow’s communityminded citizens and we are proud that Keller Williams Referred Realty Inc. plays an active role in this important work. Our Market Centre’s RED Day initiative is another HOPE Committee commitment. RED (Renew, Energize, Donate) Day is a service plan dedicated to improving their communities. Every Market Centre in the Canada and the United States are asked to donate time, once a year, to a worthy project that renews or energizes aspects of their local community. In essence, the HOPE Committee is the heart of Keller Williams Referred Realty’s culture in action – finding and serving the higher purpose of business through giving. PROJECT GIVE BACK Project Give Back is a passion based program created by Ellen Schwartz . It is a program designed for elementary students in grade 4 and 5 to help them develop responsibility towards their community, build character and empathize with those less fortunate by having them create and execute a business plan to help a charity in their area. Project Give Back is an individualized curriculum based program aimed to enhance responsibility and develop a deep seated feeling in one’s self to make a difference in the lives of others. This program follows Ministry specific guidelines geared to enhance the grade 4/5 Language Arts Program. Guest speakers visit each classroom; these special visitors are children who are making a difference in our world. If we give children the proper tools and guidance, they can achieve the impossible, and it's amazing what can happen when children have passion, belief in themselves and a feeling of accomplishment.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT PROJECT GIVE BACK We were thrilled to be part of Project Give Back this year and were excited that so many children chose to support SickKids through this amazing program. Project Give Back provides an excellent opportunity for children to learn about the many charities that help families in the communities they live in and provides a fun way for kids to learn valuable life skills through their fundraising efforts. golf club The Highlands Golf Club is located approximately 20 minutes north of Toronto and 10 minutes from Newmarket. The course is located a short distance from Highway 400 at the Highway 88 exit. The course has been completely renovated and upgraded over the past few years to complete its original links-style design. The Highlands prides itself on being a well-groomed place to play that suits both the casual and accomplished golfer. Designed by David Moote and opened in the late 1980's, the course is characterized by the rolling terrain with generous fairways and well-guarded greens with upgraded bunkers. The Highlands offers excellent new practice facilities, an active junior program, and tournaments; and it's fast becoming a favorite with GTA golfers seeking a challenging round of golf.
