With a different political perspective, we need to prepare for the new tax laws. The SF real estate market is still strong. Prices are holding or escalating. Rental prices are increasing, and the inventory is decreasing. SF is all about supply and demand. Rental property investment is still a good strategy. Tech workers and millennials are aggregating their incomes to share living expenses. That means that rental prices are being shared by 2 or 3 tech workers per apartment. That scenario has driven rental prices up. And a recent survey shows that 53% of SF renters are looking to buy.
